There are successful athletes—and then there’s Lewis Hamilton. The 41-year-old British racing star has spent nearly two decades rewriting the Formula 1 record books, winning seven world championships—tying Michael Schumacher—and becoming one of the sport’s most recognizable and highest-paid figures. Now driving for Scuderia Ferrari, Hamilton has amassed a net worth that comfortably lands in the hundreds of millions with annual earnings north of $70 million, according to Forbes.
What’s just as compelling as his performance on the track is how he lives off it. Hamilton’s lifestyle leans into a world of high performance and high design—marked by a rotation of statement watches like the Patek Philippe Nautilus, along with pieces from IWC Schaffhausen, where he’s served as an ambassador since 2013, and a sleek Sunseeker yacht moored in Monaco. He’s recently said he’s stepped away from collecting cars, shifting his focus toward art.
Outside of racing, Hamilton has quietly built a second career, investing in the Denver Broncos and moving into film, co-producing the 2025 racing blockbuster F1 alongside Brad Pitt. The movie was a massive hit, further cementing his growing presence beyond the paddock. And yes, his personal life draws plenty of attention, too, with recent rumors linking him romantically to Kim Kardashian.
His real estate portfolio follows a similar global pattern, spanning the same circuit he’s navigated throughout his career, from discreet European hideaways to a high-profile New York City penthouse and a quiet retreat in Colorado.
Switzerland

The place sits in a luxury building overlooking Lake Geneva, with the kind of privacy and tax perks that have long drawn Formula 1 drivers out of the U.K. By relocating there, Hamilton joined a pretty low-key enclave of racing heavyweights, with neighbors said to include Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, and Michael Schumacher. Not much information has surfaced about the interiors, but the long-held apartment is still widely believed to be part of his portfolio today.
Monaco

Like his Swiss property, details are limited, but reports suggest it includes a sun terrace, a steam room, and multiple bathrooms. With its tax-free status and central role in the Formula 1 calendar, Monaco is a natural place for Hamilton to put down roots, and this is widely considered one of his primary homes.
Colorado

It features warm wood interiors and direct access to the surrounding mountains. He has described it as his main home, where he spends extended stretches in the winter training and recharging—a connection that became especially clear during the pandemic. More recently, the property has taken on a new role. During a press conference ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, Hamilton revealed he’s “beginning a farm” on the land, even sharing that he has a cow named Max.
London
Image Credit: Google Maps Hamilton entered the U.K. market in 2017, picking up a six-bedroom Victorian mansion in Kensington for about 18.2 million pounds, or $23.2 million. The four-story home, originally built in 1860, spans roughly 6,500 square feet and still holds many of its original architectural details.
He purchased the property from former Burberry chief creative officer Christopher Bailey and his husband, actor Simon Woods, and at that time there were multiple reception rooms, a large kitchen and dining area, and outside, a 200-foot-deep landscaped garden with a summer house. Since acquiring it, Hamilton has been working on a major renovation. Plans have included a rear extension with a stone terrace, updates to the summer house, and added security features like higher walls and new gates.
New York City
Image Credit: Google Earth Hamilton has been especially active in New York, building out a costly collection of homes in Tribeca. In 2017, he shelled out $43.9 million for a penthouse at 443 Greenwich. The converted 19th-century book bindery has been a magnet for celebrity residents, including Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. The triplex spans about 8,900 square feet, plus another 3,400 square feet of outdoor space, including a private rooftop terrace with a plunge pool and outdoor kitchen. Inside are five en suite bedrooms, a double-height great room, a library with a fireplace, a chef’s kitchen, and both a private elevator and internal staircase. Despite the scale, Hamilton never moved in. He listed the property in 2019 for $57 million and sold it in 2021 for $49.5 million.
As it turns out, that was a spare penthouse because records show he plunked down $40.7 million in a 2016 all-cash deal for a penthouse at 70 Vestry. The 6,500-square-foot residence has Hudson River views and access to an extensive array of amenities, including a pool, fitness center, squash court, wine cellar, and library. The 14-story building was designed by Robert A. M. Stern—the architect behind iconic skyscrapers like 220 Central Park South and 15 Central Park West—and has attracted a slew of high-profile residents, including Jennifer Lawrence. Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen previously owned a unit in the building. Records indicate he still owns this apartment.
Milan

While the price hasn’t been disclosed, the neighborhood is known for its modern architecture, upscale residences, and close proximity to the city’s financial hub. He reportedly looked at properties in Modena and Bologna before choosing Milan.
