It’s easy to forget that Serena Williams’s story started on the public courts of Compton, California. Coached by her parents, Richard Williams and Oracene Price, she turned pro at just 14 and spent the next two decades redefining women’s tennis.

By the time she stepped away from the sport in 2022, the 23-time Grand Slam champion had amassed nearly $95 million in prize money—more than any female player in history—and cemented herself as one of the greatest athletes of all time. She recently made headlines by returning to Wimbledon for the first time since her retirement, though her focus today lies largely off the court.

The tennis icon has built a sprawling business empire that includes a venture capital firm, Serena Ventures; the multimedia company Nine Two Six Productions; and Wyn Beauty, while also holding stakes in the Miami Dolphins and Angel City FC. Married to Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian since 2017 and now a mother of two, Williams is estimated to be worth between $350 million and $400 million.

Naturally, a fortune of that size comes with an impressive property portfolio. Williams has assembled homes across Los Angeles, South Florida, New York, and Paris, with current holdings carrying a combined purchase price of at least $20 million. From ultra-modern waterfront compounds to stylish city apartments, here’s a look inside the tennis legend’s real estate empire.
