Selena Gomez Lists Tom Petty’s Former L.A. Home for $6.5 Million

Around the same time Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco announced their engagement in December 2024, the couple quietly shelled out $35 million for a sprawling Spanish-style estate in a prime pocket of Beverly Hills that was once owned by Joker and The Hangover director Todd Phillips. The off-market deal ranked among the year’s priciest. The singer, actor, and beauty entrepreneur and the music producer tied the knot about nine months later, officially making the circa 1928 Wallace Neff-designed home their marital residence.

The pair, however, kept a portfolio of individual properties, including an Encino home Gomez purchased six years ago for nearly $5 million, now back up for sale at just under $6.5 million, with Branden Williams and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates representing the listing.

A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace serves as a focal point of the skylit living room.

Custom-built in 1989 for the late rocker Tom Petty and his first wife, Jane Benyo, the palatial, three-story dwelling was renovated and expanded before Gomez’s ownership. Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac and a gated driveway in the affluent Rancho Estates neighborhood, the contemporary structure offers half a dozen bedrooms and 10 bathrooms across roughly 11,400 square feet.

Standing out is a skylight-topped living room anchored by a stone fireplace that soars through a white-railed mezzanine to reach the slanted ceiling. Other highlights include a fireside family room, a formal dining room, and an eat-in kitchen featuring whitewashed brick and a wood-beamed ceiling. Two primary suites include one on the main level and another upstairs, while the lower floor holds a movie theater, gym, massage room, sauna, wine cellar, beauty salon, creative workspace, and vocal booth.

The kitchen’s range is notched into a whitewashed brick arch with a copper hood.

The canyon-view grounds span almost an acre and showcase a cascading rock waterfall and a flowing stream spilling into a raised spa and freeform pool below, along with an alfresco dining area, a bar-equipped cabana, and a fire pit. There’s also a detached three-car garage and a carport with room for four more vehicles.

The “Lose You to Love Me” singer still owns a $1.7 million home in L.A.’s Woodland Hills, which is currently occupied by her mother and stepfather. Blanco, who lost a beachfront home in Malibu during the Palisades Fire in early 2025, still owns a Hollywood Hills estate he bought in 2020 from Tinder cofounder Sean Rad for $9.9 million. He recently sold his longtime New York bachelor pad in Mahattan’s Chelsea neighborhood for $3.6 million.
