    Michael B. Jordan’s Encino Mansion Hits the Market for $13 Million

    Michael B. Jordan will make his directorial debut with Creed III when it hit theaters this March, but in the meantime, he’s added another role to his resume: house flipper.  

    The actor has just put his farmhouse-style property in Encino’s Royal Estates neighborhood on the market for $12.9 million, eight months after scooping up the SoCal compound. Jordan originally bought the residence back in May for a cool $12.5 million and has since dropped close to $500,000 renovating the pad—although it was newly built in 2021. The upgrades included improvements to the home’s security and air-conditioning systems, Andrew Mortaza of the Agency, who holds the listing with Bryan Castaneda, told The Wall Street Journal.

    Set on half an acre behind a set of gates, the spread comprises 12,300 square feet of living space, eight bedrooms and 10 full bathrooms. Also on the lot is a two-story guest house, cabana and a detached massage room. In terms of amenities, the abode comes equipped with a soundproof movie theater, gym and elevator, plus a glass-walled, temperature-controlled wine room. Another standout feature is the kitchen, which has been custom designed with two islands, state-of-the-art appliances and high-end cabinetry.

    The real draw, though, is the primary suite with dual bathrooms, a fireplace, balcony and not one but two oversized dressing rooms. “That’s the biggest ‘wow’ factor for people when they walk through,” Mortaza told the WSJ. According to reporting by Dirt, there’s an additional closet entirely dedicated to shoes, which isn’t all that surprising considering Jordan is known for being a sneakerhead.  

    Taking full advantage of Los Angeles’s warm weather, you’ll find sliding glass doors throughout that open to the backyard. The pavilion has been outfitted with a kitchen, poolside lounge and zero-edge swimming pool. It’s unclear why the actor is parting ways with his home—perhaps to turn a profit or, depending on the success of the movie, he’s got his eye on something better. Let’s not forget he just had a cameo in one of the highest-grossing films of all time, so he’s got plenty of cash to splash.

    Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro Just Set a Real Estate Record With His New $10.5 Million South Florida Mansion

    Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro rang in 2023 like any rising star athlete—with a game-winning buzzer-beater and a new house.  

    Late last month, the 22-year-old NBA player scooped up a South Florida mansion and set a new real estate record in the process, reported The Real Deal. Herro dropped $10.5 million on a massive estate in Miami-Dade County’s affluent Pinecrest neighborhood, where only eight other properties have been sold for $8 million and above. (Although, the original asking price for his Balinese-inspired abode was $11.9 million.) Measuring a whopping 9,505 square feet, the guard’s residence includes eight bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms. While you won’t find any waterfront views, rest assured a glorious tropical garden serves as the backdrop instead.

    “Pinecrest is an incredibly desirable destination for luxury home buyers, and this home is truly the area’s crown jewel,” said Josie Wang of Brown Harris Stevens Miami, who represented the sellers, in a press statement. “The location offers proximity to Miami’s finest attractions, including marinas, top schools, dining, shopping and parks. The home is unrivaled in its design, craftsmanship and custom, top-of-the-line finishes from lighting to millwork.” 

    Completed in 2021, the glass-walled manse is sited on a roughly one-acre lot and was first purchased for a modest $5.3 million while it was still being built. Considering the property has now sold for close to double that amount, Herro will have his choice of swanky amenities to enjoy—everything from a wine cellar and gourmet chef’s kitchen to a spacious media room. Elsewhere, the modern home gets its high-end look thanks to walls of floor-to-ceiling glass and globally sourced materials, including natural marble, stone and wood that have been imported from Brazil and Italy. 

    Herro’s new home has eight bedrooms, eight-and-a-half bathrooms and Balinese-inspired architecture.

    Naturally, indoor/outdoor living comes with the territory. Out back, the grounds take cues from the South Pacific as well with lush landscaping and local flora. At the center is a large swimming pool, surrounded by additional water features as well as a patio and a cabana. If and when Herro decides to play host at his new digs, the summer kitchen should come in clutch—something the baller knows a thing or two about.

    Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Just Snapped Up Palm Beach’s Most Expensive Condo for $23.7 Million

    When Robert Kraft bought the New England Patriots for $172 million nearly three decades ago, he set a league record. Now, the billionaire owner has made history yet again—this time in the real estate realm—with the purchase of a new penthouse in Palm Beach. 

    Kraft recently dropped a whopping $23.7 million on an oceanfront condo in South Florida, making it the priciest pad to ever sell in the ritzy island enclave, according to the Wall Street Journal. For context, that’s about $3 million less than the original asking price when it was first listed in September. The swanky seaside digs span roughly 5,000 square feet and comprise four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, plus a 1,300-square-foot wraparound terrace.

    Prior to Kraft acquiring the abode, the apartment belonged to oil tycoon Erving Wolf and his wife, Joyce. The couple bought the condo back in 2000 for a modest $6 million, one of only a few penthouses sited directly on the beach. Before Erving passed away in 2018, and Joyce in 2022, they tapped their daughter-in-law, renowned American architect and sculptor Maya Lin, to renovate the home. Lin, whose best known for designing Washington’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial, gave the residence a modern and contemporary refresh. Most notably, she added natural wood, stone and limestone to mirror the color of the ocean.

    “The apartment when we first saw it had potentially wonderful views to the water but was partitioned off by a more traditional separation of formal rooms,” Lin told the WSJ in September. Elsewhere, there’s a library, dining room, kitchen and a large living area. Considering the couple were avid art collectors, the foyer, which serves as a mini gallery, is where Kraft can now freely hang his own blue-chip works—or, of course, showcase his six Super Bowl trophies.

    Sylvester Stallone’s Equestrian Estate in California Hits the Market for $22.5 Million

    Sylvester Stallone has gone from embodying a heavyweight boxer to becoming a real-life house flipper. Luckily, his real-estate endeavors have been anything but rocky.  

    Earlier this year, the Academy Award–winning actor dropped $18 million on a roughly two-acre compound in the San Fernando Valley. That is, after he and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, sold their longtime Beverly Park estate to singer Adele. Now, Sly is unloading that same California dude ranch he bought back in March, but this time, it’s on the market with an even bigger price tag—a whopping $22.5 million. 

    The Hamptons-style residence, designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, is set at the end of an exceedingly private cul-de-sac inside the celeb-studded, guard-gated community of Hidden Hills. The property includes an amenity-packed main pad, a separate guest house and a large swimming pool with its own spa and cabana. If you’ve got a passion for horses like the Tulsa King star and equestrian enthusiast, there’s also a four-stall barn and a riding arena. Elsewhere, the grounds include an outdoor kitchen, a sprawling fruit orchard and vegetable gardens.  

    Built in 2015, the main house and guest dwelling total more than 10,000 square feet and offer four bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms altogether. A swanky media room and gym are a few of the interior highlights; consider the library and wine cellar to be added perks. Stalone’s stately abode also has an open-concept chef’s kitchen with granite countertops and a formal dining area. The spacious living room has been decked out with a fireplace, vaulted wood-beam ceilings and sliding glass doors.  

    Of course, the primary bedroom is as opulent as one would expect. There’s a sitting area, not one but two walk-in closets, a private balcony and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and a steam shower. The Hollywood icon is reportedly ditching his digs to spend more time in Florida where he has a property in Palm Beach. Or perhaps he’s just on the hunt for his next home improvement project.

    Americans Are Flocking to Italian Wine Country to Buy Their Second Homes

    Having a second home sounds nice. Having a second home in one of Italy’s famed wine regions sounds even nicer.

    Many Americans would seem to agree with that statement. Those looking to buy second homes are flocking to Piedmont, the home of Barolo, according to The Wall Street Journal. Diletta Giorgolo Spinola, the head of residential sales at Italy Sotheby’s International Realty, estimates that the number of Americans asking about the area had jumped about 50 percent at her agency over the past two years alone.

    Along with its reputation in the wine world, Piedmont was instrumental in the creation of the slow-food movement, and it’s a major area for the hunting and buying of white truffles. That makes it an especially appealing area to buyers with a strong interest in food and drink.

    Some are even intrigued by the idea of having their own vineyard. Luca Stroppiana of Langhe Real Estate told the WSJ that vineyards are the new must-have for second-home buyers. He helped facilitate the sale of a $510,000 farmhouse with one to an American couple mainly living in Milan. “We like to drink wine,” said Bryony Bechtold, who bought the property with her husband. “And now we will learn all about the different grapes and how making wine works.”

    At Langhe Property, Americans are actually the No. 1 demographic, beating out the British. And an architect in the area told The Wall Street Journal that Americans are now the majority of her foreign customers. It doesn’t hurt that the US dollar is quite strong, and that the pandemic has allowed for flexibility as to where people can live and work.

    While enjoying the Italian countryside for a few weeks or months at a time does sound great, the Journal didn’t note how locals feel about the influx of out-of-towners. That’s been an issue in other international locales, like Mexico City, where residents became fed up with American tourists and remote workers earlier this year.

    Still, the possibility of animus isn’t turning off the Piedmont-curious. A couple from Kansas who have been visiting Italy for 50 years are gearing up to move the region next year—and even more home buyers seem likely to join them. More

    Here we look at the top five most searched areas on the site in 2022…

    Naas is the county town of Kildare and the second largest town in the county after Newbridge. It is a popular commuter town for Dublin, which it is linked to by the N7 and M50 motorway. Addtionally, the M7 motorway links the town with the south and south west of the country. People can also commute near and far via the local railway station while the town also boasts excellent bus routes. Local amenities include Naas General Hospital, Naas Racecourse, Mondello Park racing circuit, a library, the 200-seat Moat Theatre, a cinema, five supermarkets, several pubs and restaurants and a number of schools, hotels and nightclubs.

    Malahide is a picturesque town in north county Dublin located 16km from Dublin City Centre. A popular residential and tourist town the main attractions are Malahide castle which hosts a variety of events and the coastal walk to Portmarnock. There are numerous sports clubs in the village catering for all types of sport including tennis, sailing, cricket, rugby and football. Local amenities include cost pubs, gourmet restaurants and leisure facilities. Malahide is accessible both by bus and rail. The train station in the town is on both the DART and commuter line. The M1, M50 and Dublin airport are all within easy access.

    Greystones is a coastal town and seaside resort in Co Wicklow. It lies on Ireland’s east coast, 3.5km south of Bray and 24km south of Dublin City Centre. It is the second biggest town in the county and was named after a half-mile or 1km stretch of grey stones between two beaches on the searfront. From a small fishing village, it has grown to be one of the most popular places to live, work and play in the country with Greystones now recognised as a fantastic destination for boutique shopping, great dining, wellness and healthy living. Greystones is accessible from the N11 Dublin-Wexford Road while it is well served by both trains and buses. The town also boasts eight primary and four secondary schools, as well as a host of recreational activities.

    Bray “the gateway of Wicklow” is located on the east coast of Ireland in county Wicklow. Bray is a main commuter town due to its close proximity to Dublin (13 miles). The seaside town has a population of approximately 32,000 people, making it the fourth largest town in Ireland.     Clontarf is in Dublin 3 on the north side of the city. Nearby areas include Fairview, Marino, Killester, Artane and Raheny. On the Dart Clontarf is one stop form the city centre which goes north to Malahide and Howth and south to Bray and Greystones. Clontarf has a village atmosphere with most shops situated around Vernon Avenue. Most of the roads lead down to the seafront where there is a seafront walk and bike lane for miles. Close by is St. Anne’s Park, which has a number of football grounds, tennis courts, a rose garden and a pavilion. Other local amenities include Clontarf golf course and Bull Island.

    The most popular seaside towns of 2022

    In Ireland, you’re never too far from the sea and when the sun shines, people typically flock to these places.

    For some, being beside the water is an absolute must and, as a result, coastal towns are always in demand.

    We’re lucky to have several popular seaside towns in Ireland but these were the most popular in the year just gone…

    Kenmare is a town in the south of Co Kerry. It is located at the heard of Kenmare Bay where the Roughty River flows into the sea at the junction of the Iveragh Peninsula and the Beara Peninsula. It is also located near the Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Mangerton Mountain and Caha Mountains and is a popular hillwalking destination. Nearby towns and villages are Tuosist, Ardgroom, Glengarriff, Kilgarvan, Killarney, Templenoe and Sneem. Local amenities include a selection of primary and secondary schools, community hospital, churches, library, the Carnegie Arts Centre, restaurants, pubs, hotels and B&Bs. There are daily bus-services in summer to Killarney 20km away and in the off-season, the bus runs Monday-Friday. There is also a daily service to/from Cork in the summer months on the N71 via Bantry and Clonakilty. The nearest airport is Kerry Airport, which is 50 km away. A wider range of services is available from Cork Airport, which is 90 km away. There is a daily direct service to/from Cork Airport in the summer months on the N71 via Bantry and Clonakilty. There is also a GAA club, basketball club and soccer club in the area.

    Tramore, or more specifically its Irish name Trá Mhór, literally translates to ‘big beach’ in Irish making this Co Waterford town the ultimate seaside destination in the south east of the country. Initially just a popular tourist destination, in more recent times it has become a satellite town of Waterford City, which is just 13km to the north. The town is popular for surfing and other water sports due to its large, sheltered bay while there are a large selection of hotels, pubs, restaurants and shops to enjoy, as well as stunning walks and Tramore Racecourse.

    Kinsale is a port and fishing town in Co Cork. Located 25km south of Cork City on the coast near the Old Head of Kinsale, it sits at the mouth of the River Bandon and is a popular tourist destination. Leisure activites in the area include yachting, sea angling and golf. The town also has several art galleries and a school of English. The town is compact with a quaint air of antiquity in the narrow streets. There is a large yachting marina close to the town centre. The town is known for its pubs and restaurants, and holds an annual “Gourmet Festival”. There is both Church of Ireland and Catholic churches in the town while Bus Éireann provides regular routes to Cork City. Kinsale and Bandon are also linked by public transport with a bus service provided by East Cork Rural Transport. As well as a yacht club, GAA club, badminton club and rugby club, the Saile Sports and Leisure Centre boasts all-weather pitches, a tennis court, basketball court, community garden and more. Kinsale hosts an annual jazz festival, which takes place during the last weekend of October. There is also a number of schools in the area.

    Dungarvan is a coastal and harbour town in the heart of Waterford. It is situated at the mouth of the Colligan River, which divides the town into two parishes: Dungarvan to the west and Abbeyside to the east. The harbour offers one potential route to Dungarvan but it is also on the N25 and is well served by bus with links to Cork, Waterford and Rosslare Europort. The area offers a large variety of shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools and sporting amenities while the Waterford Greenway walk is undoubtedly one of its major highlights with its 46km route running from Dungarvan to Waterford along the old railway line.

    Westport in Co Mayo is located at the sout-east corner of Clew Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of Ireland. Known as a major tourist destination it has won both the Tidy Towns competition and Best Place to Live in Ireland competition in the past. It is designated as a heritage town and incorporates the Carrow Beg River into its design. The pilgrimage mountain of Croagh Patrick, known locally as “the Reek”, lies some 10 km west of the town near the villages of Murrisk and Lecanvey. The mountain forms the backdrop to the town. Westport hosts a large number of festivals throughout the year and boasts a number of the top pubs, restaurants and hotels in the region. It has two secondary schools and five primary schools, as well as a College of Further Education. The N5 national primary route connects the town to Castlebar while it is also accessible via rail. Ireland West Airport in Knock is also just 60km away. The town also boasts a large number of sporting facilities including an angling centre and one of Ireland’s top golf courses. More
