Matthew Musto doled out $6.4 million for a newly built home in the suburban Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles almost three years ago. The singer, songwriter, and music producer known professionally as Blackbear, an homage to the animal native to his home state of Florida, then enlisted noted celebrity designer Kishani Perera to undertake a full-scale remodel. Now he has decided to put the stylishly redone spread back on the market with a nearly $3.6 million jump in price, asking a speck under $10 million. Set beyond gates on nearly half an acre in the Amestoy Estates neighborhood, the modern farmhouse-style digs have been repainted a rich chocolate hue. A total of six bedrooms and seven baths are spread across 7,200 square feet of family friendly living space infused with a moody, rock-and-roll edge and glitzy amenities, including a bookcase door that opens to reveal a hidden movie theater/man cave, plus a guesthouse sporting a wood-paneled recording studio and a gym.

From there, a fireside living room features built-in cubbies for storing books or albums and a family room has pocketing glass doors spilling out to a patio, while an eat-in kitchen is outfitted with a center island topped by a hanging pot and plant rack, top-tier appliances, and a butler’s pantry.
Other highlights include a formal dining room and an office, as well as a wallpapered primary suite boasting a Timothy Oulton chandelier, a fireplace, a balcony, two walk-in closets, and a bath spotlighted by a matte black soaking tub. Blackbear, 35, is most known for collaborating with popular artists such as Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas, Maroon 5, Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, and Machine Gun Kelly. His breakthrough solo single, Hot Girl Bummer, also peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 2019, and most recently, he returned to the music festival circuit in June at England’s Bludfest 2025.
Musto previously owned a 15-acre estate in the Los Angeles suburb of Sunland, between the Verdugo and San Gabriel mountains, that records show was sold in spring 2024 for $4 million.
