Kim Kardashian has gone way beyond reality TV—she’s an actress, a budding lawyer, a foundation garment entrepreneur, a social media influencer, and a real estate powerhouse all rolled into one. Rising from fame on the small screen to self-made billionaire status, the Keeping Up star’s net worth sits around $1.7 billion as of 2025, largely fueled by her game-changing shapewear brand Skims, valued at $4 billion in 2023.
Her empire extends well beyond the boardroom, touching every aspect of high-end living—from private air travel to customized cars. When she takes to the skies, it’s on Kim Air—her Gulfstream G650ER private jet that carries a price tag of $150 million. On the ground, her fleet of eight to 10 vehicles—think Maybachs, Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis, Range Rovers, and even a Ferrari, most painted the same matte grey—is worth up to $5 million.
Kardashian’s love for iconic pieces of jewelry shines through in her auction finds, too. She’s collected rare treasures like Princess Diana’s 1920s Attallah Cross Pendant, Jackie Kennedy’s engraved Cartier Tank watch, and Elizabeth Taylor’s jade-and-diamond bracelets. Along with Michael Jackson memorabilia for her daughter North, she also owns Janet Jackson’s outfit from her If music video, which she actually wore, earning a personal thumbs-up from Jackson herself.
And then there’s her real estate portfolio, anchored by a sprawling Axel Vervoordt-designed estate just outside Los Angeles. Her property story, however, spans far beyond that flagship home. Over the years, Kardashian has acquired and sold numerous residences, including a custom-renovated condo in Calabasas, as well as a couple of Wyoming ranches once occupied by her and ex-husband Kanye West. From Malibu to the mountains of Idaho, here’s a closer look at where Kim Kardashian and her four kids call home.
Hidden Hills
Image Credit: Google Earth Kardashian has amassed one of the most impressive residential compounds in the heavily celebrified Hidden Hills enclave. Now spanning four separate properties and more than four-and-a-half acres of land, the compound’s genesis was in August 2014, when she and West purchased an eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion for $19.75 million.
The couple famously spent years transforming the 15,667-square-foot residence into an all-beige minimalist retreat with the help of Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt. After their 2021 divorce, Kardashian retained ownership, buying West out for $20 million, plus an additional $3 million for its custom furnishings and other contents. She recently embarked on an extensive expansion and overhaul of the home and the grounds.
During their marriage, the former couple acquired a couple of the surrounding properties. Just four months after they bought the main house, they added the 2,842-square-foot home next door for $3 million. The dwelling, which at one point belonged to Lisa Marie Presley, was razed, and the lot was relandscaped for privacy and possible future development. In 2019, the erstwhile pair picked up a second neighboring property for $2.7 million. The 2,746-square-foot residence has remained largely under the radar but may be used for staff, guests, or even as a storage space.
Most recently, in May 2022, Kardashian on her own purchased a third adjacent home for $6.3 million. Though it had not been updated since the 1970s and featured tacky green carpets and mirrored walls, she listed it for resale just six months later at $7 million but eventually took it off the market.
La Quinta
Image Credit: Google Earth In 2019, Kardashian plunked down $6.3 million for a not-quite-two-acre plot in La Quinta’s ultra-private Madison Club—an exclusive golf enclave in the Coachella Valley where her mother, Kris Jenner, younger sister, Kylie, and Justin and Hailey Bieber also own homes. Rather than drop a ready-made mansion onto the property, Kardashian tapped Pritzker Prize–winning architect Tadao Ando to design a sprawling, ultra-minimalist retreat from the ground up.
Described by Kardashian as “concrete, gray-toned, and really zen,” the planned 42,000-square-foot compound blends her signature aesthetic with Ando’s brutalist-meets-sculptural design language. Original plans reportedly included a space-age structure with panoramic mountain views, a pool and spa, an art gallery, a movie theater, and two elevators.
Despite the ambition behind the project, progress seems to have stalled. Construction was halted in 2022 after the city of La Quinta requested additional details on fire safety and pool compliance. Since then, updates have been scarce—though Kardashian did refer to the property as her “dream project” in a 2023 Instagram post.
Idaho
Image Credit: Google Maps At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in November 2020, Kardashian made an uncharacteristically low-key real estate move—purchasing a secluded lakefront retreat in Harrison, Idaho. The five-bedroom, six-bath custom-built home spans 4,544 square feet and sits just off the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene, an area frequented by Matthew McConaughey, Sydney Sweeney, Mark Wahlberg, and George Clooney.
Though the exterior resembles a rustic cabin, the interiors feature a wine cellar, golf cart garage, and outdoor spa—ideal for getaways. Kardashian reportedly paid around $5 million for the property, which has since soared in value. She’s been spotted in the area multiple times with her kids, paddleboarding and jet skiing alongside sister Khloé as recently as this summer.
But Kardashian didn’t stop with just one Idaho address. Within days of the initial purchase, she snapped up two additional parcels nearby: a vacant 1.29-acre lot and a nearly 7-acre spread. Though undeveloped, the acquisitions suggest long-term plans—possibly another build, or simply strategic land banking.
Malibu
Image Credit: Google Earth In one of the biggest celebrity real estate deals of 2022, Kardashian shelled out $70.4 million for a Mediterranean-style estate in Malibu’s ultra-exclusive Encinal Bluffs—marking her most expensive home purchase to date. The oceanfront property, previously owned by model Cindy Crawford and hospitality and tequila mogul Rande Gerber, was originally listed for $99.5 million. Kardashian secured the estate with a $48.7 million mortgage, according to records.
Set on almost 3.2 acres, the villa measured in at 7,500 square feet with four bedrooms and five and a half baths at the time she bought it. There are wraparound decks and sweeping views of the Pacific, along with a poolside cabana with a fireplace, a tennis court, and a spa and firepit lounge overlooking the ocean. The best part might be the private path down the bluff to a secluded beach. The sellers, investor Adam Weiss and Yellowstone actress Barret Swatek, purchased the home from Crawford and Gerber in 2018 for $45 million.
Though the two-story home was already the apex of luxury, Kardashian brought in Harrison Design to massage the house into line with her broader design aesthetic and reimagine it in her signature minimalist style. Recent glimpses of the home on the opening episode of the latest season of The Kardashians show the pool and the airy interiors now echo the same curated calm seen in her Hidden Hills compound.
