The office opened in November in 2018 with four staff, and made three new hires last summer. The hiring of Truscott makes the office eight-strong, and caps a period of rapid growth for the firm.
During its first 14 months, the Bristol team completed 3.65m sq ft of surveys and projects on a portfolio of office, industrial and retail projects across the South West, Wales and M4 corridor. That included surveying Bristol’s largest commercial property deal of 2019, Alpha Real Capital’s £73m acquisition of the 154,000 sq ft Temple Quay House building in August.
The office’s clients include include Fidelity International, Melberg Capital, Spear Street Capital, Mayfair Capital Investment Management and Oxenwood Real Estate.
Paragon also has offices in London, Esher, Manchester and Edinburgh, and employs nearly 200 people nationwide.
Paragon director Paul Arthur, based in the Bristol office, said: “We saw significant commercial opportunity throughout the South West and Wales [in our first 14 months]. The excellent projects and clients we have secured since opening show we have capitalised upon that and there is a great deal of scope for further expansion.”
