Moda Living holds virtual fitness and wellbeing sessions for residents

Angel Gardens

The build-to-rent operator and its partner Hero will ramp up monthly wellbeing evening classes to a weekly session, which will be streamed online. Run by a Hero team member, the workshops in the coming three weeks will focus on managing anxiety, nutrition and mental health.

The operator is also running a series of fitness classes and streaming them through Instagram.

One of these, taking place today (21 March), will see a Hero trainer take a class in the courtyard of its Angel Gardens scheme in Manchester so that people can participate from their balconies or sitting rooms.

“At Moda, health and wellbeing is in our DNA,” said Moda chief executive Johnny Caddick. “We’ve adapted to address what’s happening in the world. We moved a lot of our initiatives and made them accessible to our tenants if they’re self-isolating or social distancing.”

Lydia Eustace, Moda Living’s marketing director and head of health and wellbeing, added: “Everything we do is around community and I think that’s even more important now – to keep everyone connected.”

The business has also upped its residents’ free internet capacity to 1gb to support demand from people working remotely and increased streaming activity.
