One of Jeremy Renner’s Formerly Flipped Homes Is Back on the Market in L.A. for $6.5 Million

Back in 2008, a few years after Jeremy Renner and his business partner Kristoffer Winters bought and sold their first house in Los Angeles for around $240,000 over what they paid for the place just a few months before, the actor-turned-real estate developer doled out roughly $1.5 million for a Greek Revival-style estate in Hollywood Hills. Now—after first selling the revamped property for a $2.4 million profit in 2009—it’s popped up on the market once again, still dressed to the nines and asking a speck under $6.5 million. The listing is held by Daniel Giventer and Dovi Levin of Christie’s International Real Estate.

Originally built in the early 1920s and previously occupied by Disney writer, director and producer Perce Pearce, who is largely known for his work on Bambi, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Fantasia—and dubbed the Hemingway House because it was reportedly used as an “after-party pad” by writer Ernest Hemingway—the premises underwent an extensive remodel and glow-up during Renner’s ownership.

Securely hidden away behind gates and high hedges, amid a corner parcel spanning roughly one-third acres in the affluent Selma Avenue Residential Historic District, the tan stucco and green terracotta-roof structure is fronted by a fountain-clad reflecting pool and features 5,800 square feet of elegant living space boasting rich hardwood floors, copious built-ins, and period fireplaces throughout.

Especially standing out are the screening room and a library sitting adjacent to a bar area. Other highlights include a soaring black-and-white-tiled entry foyer that flows to a fireside living area that has French doors leading outside and a formal dining room topped by a crystal chandelier, along with a sleekly designed kitchen outfitted with dual islands, top-tier appliances, and a breakfast nook with banquette seating. The primary suite sports a fireplace, a covered balcony, a walk-in closet, and a luxe bath spotlighted by dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a separate shower.

The entertainment-ready backyard holds a pool and spa nestled alongside a fire-pit.

Heading outdoors, you’ll find park-like grounds dotted with numerous terraces ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining, as well as a fire pit and a black-bottom pool and spa. Tucked off to the side of the house is a detached two-car garage flanked by a spacious cobblestone motorcourt with room for up to nine additional vehicles.

Renner, 53, has acquired and developed numerous multimillion-dollar properties in Southern California since the early 2000s, including a $25 million mansion in L.A.’s posh Holmby Hills neighborhood. The two-time Oscar-nominated actor has appeared in countless films, including S.W.A.T., The Hurt LockerThe Town, and The Bourne Legacy. Also known for playing Clint Barton/Hawkeye in Marvel movies and a TV show and hosting Rennervations, a Disney+ series in which he gives back to communities worldwide by “reimagining unique, purpose-built vehicles,” he’s currently starring in season three of Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown.
