One of Greenwich’s oldest residences with ties to a Real Housewives icon has quietly been sold.
Known as Applejack Farm and dating to 1743, the elegant compound has been offloaded by Bravo television star Bethenny Frankel for $7.8 million. The Skinnygirl Cocktails founder snapped up the home, formerly owned by Connecticut governor Lowell Weicker, in August 2021 for $4.25 million. She went on to redesign several areas of the three-acre estate that comprises a five-bedroom main residence, two-bedroom guest cottage, studio, and a converted barn.
Back in April, the Queens-born entrepreneur announced via TikTok that she was relocating to Florida with her daughter Bryn Hoppy for “personal and professional reasons.” Turns out, she had secured a landing spot nearly a year prior, a Miami Beach condo she acquired in June 2024 for $1.67 million. Frankel’s fans will note that the beachfront condo is just the latest addition to her evolving property portfolio, which once included a nearly $7 million New York City loft apartment and currently holds a gated estate in the Hamptons.

In a statement, Jeff Jackson of Corcoran Centric Realty, who represented Frankel in the off-market sale, said that “Applejack Farm is a rare blend of historic pedigree and modern luxury nestled in the heart of the Golden Triangle of Greenwich.” The “triangle,” once dubbed the nation’s wealthiest neighborhood according to an analysis, is well-known for its sprawling estates. Martha Z. Jeffrey and Anne Ogilvy of Sotheby’s International Greenwich Brokerage represented the buyer of Frankel’s idyllic retreat within the coveted community.
Floral wallpaper enhances the foyer, where an arched doorway leads from the center hall foyer into a wood-paneled living room with a brick fireplace. Beyond is a window-lined sunroom/TV room with a white lacquer ceiling. Natural light pools on the glossy wood floor in the formal dining room, while Frankel updated the massive chef’s kitchen with a La Cornue range, marble countertops, and a sunny breakfast nook with built-in seating.

Other standouts on the main floor include a posh family room and library that features a green faux-crocodile skin ceiling treatment as well as access to a covered back porch with unobstructed views of the manicured landscape. Two beverage bars include one on the lower level, alongside a media room, gym space, and office. All five bedrooms in the main house are upstairs, including the primary suite with a wood-burning fireplace and dual spa-grade bathrooms.
The farm’s new owner also gained manicured gardens and ample patio space for outdoor dining and lounging, along with a two-bedroom, two-bath guest cottage, a standalone studio, a three-bay garage, and a party barn.
