Heather and Terry Dubrow’s Beverly Hills Home Just Sold for $16.5 Million

Five months after it first hit the market for $25 million and subsequently underwent a significant price chop, Heather and Terry Dubrow’s sprawling estate in the mountains above Beverly Hills has sold for $16.5 million.

They initially were going to give the place a total overhaul, but when the planned renovation came in $8 million over budget, they decided to do a quickie $45,000 fix-up job and sell. Taking into account the costs associated with holding and maintaining the property for a couple of years and the real estate fees, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member and her plastic surgeon husband likely took a loss on the 90210 compound they acquired in 2023 for for $16.1 million.

Josh Altman of Douglas Elliman California and Josh Flagg of Compass held the listing, with the buyer repped by Christina Pope of Sotheby’s International Realty and Gary Reavis of Forward Luxury Estates.

The two-story traditional structure was previously owned by the estate of late filmmaker Martha De Laurentiis. She and her legendary producer husband Dino De Laurentiis, who died in 2010, paid around $2.8 million for the 1940s spread almost four decades ago. Before that, it was owned by millionaire restaurateur Steve Crane, the former husband of Lana Turner, who sold the place to Where Love Has Gone author Harold Robbins in 1978 for just $850,000.

Tucked away behind a lengthy gated driveway and a spacious motor court, amid a bluff-top parcel spanning more than eight acres overlooking Benedict Canyon in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, the home offers five bedrooms and nine baths. Roughly 9,000 square feet is introduced via a soaring foyer sporting a sweeping dual staircase.

Among the other highlights is a living room featuring French doors spilling out to an expansive brick deck holding a pool and a hot tub, as well as a fireside reading nook, a formal dining room, and a wood-clad kitchen outfitted with stone countertops, a breakfast bar, and high-end stainless appliances. An upstairs primary suite comes with a sitting area, a private balcony, dual walk-in closets and baths, a library, and a media room, while the picturesque city-to-ocean-view grounds also contain a kitchen setup, several alfresco lounging and entertaining areas, and a full-sized tennis court.

The backyard is showcased by a large swimming pool and a vast terrace.

As first reported by TMZ, the buyer is a non-famous person from outside the country who spotted the listed property on Instagram and reached out to one of the agents. Sources told the entertainment news outlet the buyer was in escrow to buy the house once before but backed out at the last minute. The Dubrows went on to snatch it up, leaving the buyer with some lingering regrets and vowing not to let it slip through their fingers again.

As for the Dubrows, the couple still owns a ritzy Roberto Cavalli-designed penthouse in the Century City neighborhood of Los Angeles they paid Russian billionaire Sergey Grishin $14 million for in 2022. And though they sold their elaborate Newport Coast mansion known as the Dubrow Chateau three years ago to medical device tycoon Xu Hang for a record-breaking $55 million, they still maintain a residence in Orange County.
