Steve McQueen’s Former Idaho Ranch Hits the Market for $25 Million

Forget The Magnificent Seven. This Idaho estate is the magnificent 708.

Sitting on almost 260 acres of land at 708 East Fork Road in Hailey, Rockin’ B Ranch is a relatively new build on the site of actor Steve McQueen’s former pad. On the market for $25 million, the spread comprises a four-bedroom home built in 2021, an upscale equestrian barn, stocked ponds, pastures, and more. Delaney Fox of Fox Estates holds the listing.

While the property has old-school celebrity ties—and actress Demi Moore has also long maintained a home in Hailey—it has since been brought into the modern age, with a contemporary, Western-chic main residence serving as your home base. Reclaimed wide-plank wood flooring, clay-wash plaster walls, and oak beams create a rustic feel throughout, while sculptural Apparatus light fixtures and Murano glass chandeliers double as art.

A French limestone fireplace anchors the great room, adding a cozy touch to the light and airy space. The nearby kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, including a Lacanche range, a Sub-Zero fridge, and two Miele dishwashers. Thick, four-inch marble countertops provide ample prep space for home chefs. A pass-through window over one of the sinks opens to the patio, making for extra easy indoor-outdoor hosting.

Out back, along with the alfresco dining setup and grill, there’s a large lounge area and fire pit overlooking a nearby koi pond. Next door, you’ll find the fully heated barn, which includes four horse stalls, tack and feed rooms, an office, and a half-bath. Upstairs, the second level has been turned into a gym, but it could easily become a guest suite if you’re in the market for more sleeping quarters. Walking through the ample grounds, you’ll come across the equestrian arena, more ponds, aspen and willow groves, and the banks of the East Fork River.

The ranch’s McQueen connection makes it an appealing property for any fans of the King of Cool. The late actor also kept a home in Malibu, an oceanfront estate with a private stairway to the shore. That abode hit the market in late 2022 for $17 million. Along with his property portfolio, McQueen was a collector of cars, and several of his vehicles have popped up for auction over the years. Most recently, RM Sotheby’s announced that it would be offering his 1952 Hudson Wasp, with an estimate of up to $60,000. He clearly had impeccable taste in both cars and real estate.
