A sprawling Colorado ranch long owned by celebrity hairstylist and brand creator Charles Worthington has just hit the market. Nestled amid the picturesque Capitol Creek Valley surrounded by the Elk Mountains, about 30 minutes outside of Aspen, the 150-acre spread with a main home, several ancillary structures, and a wealth of recreational activities is being offered for sale at $25 million.
“A ranch property that checks so many boxes on buyers’ wish lists is a rare find,” says Peter Grenney, who shares the listing with Leah Moriarty, Walker Moriarty, and Jamay Shook, all of Plus Real Estate. “What truly stands out is that the land is equally as stunning as the home.”
The fireside great room connects to a formal dining room with seating for up to 10 guests.

Records show that Worthington—widely known as the “Paul Mitchell of Europe”—and his longtime partner Allan Peters paid $3.8 million for the ranch in 2019. They then set out to create their dream home, which is described as a “sanctuary that merges heartfelt design with unmatched functionality.” Nestled adjacent to the 3,800-acre St. Benedict’s Monastery, which is currently on the market for $150 million, the compound was originally built in 2002 by the late Austrian financier Gerhard Andlinger.
Six en suite bedrooms and seven baths can be found in the timber-clad main home, which has a little more than 6,000 square feet of owner-designed living space that can be sold fully furnished. In addition to a soaring great room topped by a rustic antler chandelier and warmed by a massive fireplace encased in boulders, other highlights include a dedicated office and a formal dining room that seats up to 10, as well as a rustic kitchen outfitted with a pressed-tin ceiling, a pricey Aga range, and a fireside breakfast nook. Elsewhere is a primary suite featuring an inviting bath spotlighted by a pedestal-style soaking tub.
The rustic kitchen features a luxe Aga range that uses radiant heat for cooking.

Also on the completely off-grid estate is a lakeside cabin and a separate caretaker’s residence, with other amenities including a custom fitness center, a bar-equipped cinema room, a meditation tent, and a 5,200-square-foot stable with four stalls, equipment storage, and an unfinished upper level. Plentiful outdoor recreational pursuits are also yours for the taking, from pond hockey and cross-country skiing to horseback riding and fishing.
A legendary hairstylist best known for creating bespoke tresses for famous clients such as Goldie Hawn, Sharon Stone, Lily James, Tracey Emin, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kim Cattrall, the England native sold his eponymous beauty company to British consumer goods giant PZ Cussons in 2004 for around $47 million. In addition to their Colorado estate, the couple renovated a villa on the Greek isle of Mykonos that was put up for sale in late 2023 at $53 million. That listing has since been removed, but it’s not clear if the property has been sold.
