VIPs on the Move: ‘The Conners’ Star Sara Gilbert Seeks $11 Million for Her L.A. Home

Sara Gilbert hoisted her home in a historic area of Los Angeles up for sale, while actor Eric McCormack put his longtime digs in Toluca Lake on the market and Maroon 5 bassist Sam Farrar added to his real estate portfolio with a new spot in Studio City.

As Sara Gilbert nears the final installment of The Conners—teasing a “really satisfying ending” to the show’s seven-season run—the actress/producer is also looking to shut the door on her modern farmhouse-style abode in L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood. Gilbert is asking just under $11 million for the six-bedroom, seven-bath residence, which she scooped up back in early 2016 for $6.8 million when she was still married to songwriter Linda Perry. Resting on a third of an acre overlooking the Wilshire Country Club golf course, the nearly 6,400-square-foot, three-level spread is spotlighted by a lofty primary suite sporting a massive soaking tub, plus a private balcony overlooking the backyard pool and spa. The kitchen has a walk-in pantry with a rolling ladder to reach the high shelves, and there’s also an office, a gym, and a media/game room.

Over in Toluca Lake, Will & Grace star Eric McCormack is parting ways with the traditional white wood-sided and green-trimmed dwelling he’s lived in for more than two decades, ever since he and his ex-wife Janet doled out a mere $980,000 for the place in 1999. The current price? A dash under $4.5 million, which includes a 4,000-square-foot home with three bedrooms and four baths. The media room has a built-in entertainment center flanked by a stacked-stone fireplace, the wallpapered dining room connects to a colorful kitchen equipped with a wine fridge, and an office nook has a built-in desk. French doors in the fireside den open to a courtyard that’s ideal for alfresco dining, with other notable features including a cute little log cabin-style studio, an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, and a lagoon-style pool with a waterfall.

And maybe he needed some extra room to perfect his bass licks for Maroon 5 or perhaps to create all the original artwork he sells online. Whatever the case, Sam Farrar recently plunked down a speck under $3 million for a Studio City pad with an ample 3,582 square feet of two-level living space for all his creative pursuits. Hidden away on a cul-de-sac and boasting stylish pecan hardwood floors throughout, the five-bedroom property offers up a living room adorned with a marble fireplace and a large bay window, as well as an updated kitchen outfitted with top-tier Thermador and Sub-Zero appliances. An upstairs family room sits alongside a luxe primary suite, while the woodsy grounds host meandering pathways leading to terraced decks. Last year, Farrar also doled out $2.3 million for a revamped 1930s ranch-style residence in Toluca Lake.
