MMC on hunt for new Bristol space

The company plans to consolidate its three existing Bristol offices in the new space.

MMC occupies the Pentagon and Castle Mead buildings through its subsidiaries Marsh and Marsh Commercial, while Jardine Lloyd Thompson, which MMC acquired for £4.3bn last September, occupies 100 Victoria Street.

The leases on all three of its office buildings are due to expire by next year. MMC moved into the Pentagon, where it occupies the ground and first floors, in April 2011.

A Savills report last month said there was around 540,000 sq ft of office space currently available in Bristol. Just 120,000 sq ft of this is grade A and no more prime office space is due to be completed until 2022.

CBRE is acting for MMC. All parties declined to comment.
