John Fogerty’s Massive SoCal Estate Hits the Market for $20 Million

John Fogerty is selling his California compound down on the corner for $20 million.

The Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman is parting ways with his longtime Thousand Oaks estate after a decade of ownership, TMZ first reported. Dubbed White Stallion Ranch, the 22-acre spread is nestled within the gated Hidden Valley community. In 2013, the “Bad Moon Rising” singer shelled out roughly $9 million for the 18,600-square-foot residence, which was originally built in 2004 by architect Ron Firestone. However, the palatial pad has since benefitted from a massive renovation.

At the heart of the property is a Tuscan-style farmhouse, complete with nine bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Throughout the mostly single-story abode you’ll find cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, and stone accents—including a fireplace in the great room. Though, there are a few high-tech features such as motorized window treatments and smart home controls. Nearby, the kitchen is decked out with glossy marble countertops, custom cabinets, top-of-the-line appliances, and a huge center island.

As one might expect, the multi-platinum music legend had two state-of-the-art soundproof recording studios installed. Here, you can belt out your best “Proud Mary” or practice your guitar skills. Of course, there are a slew of other perks as well, including two separate movie theaters, a gym, a wellness center, and a bar room equipped with climate-controlled wine walls. If you plan on playing host, the compound also comes with a detached guest house.

Outside, walking paths allow guests to wander around the landscaped grounds, which have been covered in drought-tolerant turf. Although, the sweeping mountain and Pacific Ocean views are probably best enjoyed from any of the terraces. Elsewhere, there are plenty of alfresco spaces to kick back and relax. Think a poolside covered patio with a fire pit and outdoor kitchen. The manse also has a sports court, if you’re more of the active type. Either way, you could be the fortunate one to call this place home.

French Montana’s Sprawling Los Angeles Mansion Hits the Market Nearly $23 Million

Moroccan-born rapper French Montana, born Karim Kharbouch, is saying goodbye to his Los Angeles home.

The “Unforgettable” artist first purchased the home in late 2020 from basketball player Paul George, a forward on the Los Angeles Clippers, for $8.4 million, and is now spinning off the home for a whopping $22.75 million. After purchasing the home, he embarked on an extensive remodel with Iqosa Interior and Architecture Design to suit his vision for the property.

The home is located in the exclusive guard-gated enclave called Ashley Ridge, part of the glitzy, celebrity-filled Hidden Hills community. It’s sited on a 1.5-acre parcel of land, and you’re welcomed in via a private circular driveway with lush, manicured landscaping and towering mature trees with leafy canopies. The residence spans 16,000 square feet and has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, ideal for those who love to entertain or those with a large family.

The custom-built estate features bespoke wooden ceilings and oak beams, limestone floors, grand skylights, custom lighting, carved wooden doors, and marble fireplaces. No detail or expense was spared when it came to materiality. There are also floor-to-ceiling windows and custom glass sliding doors that overlook the pastoral grounds and welcome in plenty of natural light. There’s a spacious chef’s kitchen, which feels bright and airy thanks to vaulted beamed ceilings and open skylights. The home has a minimalist, natural aesthetic with indoor greenery at every turn.

The heart of the home is the 4,000-square-foot great room with vaulted wooden ceilings, motorized skylights, sliding glass doors that open to the backyard, a bar, and two large living areas with fireplaces. The primary suite is also of note and occupies a wing of the house. There are vaulted wooden ceilings, a two-sided fireplace, a lounge with a kitchenette, massive walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom with a built-in sofa near the glass-enclosed shower and soaking tub.

Amenities include a movie theater, gym, steam shower, wrapping room, bonus room, library, walk-in wine cellar, outdoor kitchen, custom barbecue, fire pit, fountains, five-car garage, RV storage space, and a full-size basketball court. The outdoor areas are resort-like with a pool and spa, stone deck, incredible landscaping, and an outdoor entertainment area with a music and TV center. There  are also fruit and shade trees located throughout the property.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z Just Bought California’s Most Expensive Home for $200 Million

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are on to the next one.

The power couple just added another property to their epic real estate portfolio and simultaneously claimed the title for the priciest real estate transaction in all of California. The music moguls dropped a whopping $200 million on a futuristic mega-mansion in Malibu, according to TMZ. The gargantuan sum shattered the Golden State record previously set by billionaire investor Marc Andreessen’s $177 million deal in 2021. It’s also now considered the second most expensive home sale in America, following a $238 million penthouse scooped up by hedge funder Ken Griffin in 2019. (Although, Bey and Jay would’ve smashed that if they shelled out for the original $295 million asking price.)

Obviously, the Carters’ new 30,000-square-foot spread isn’t your average beach house. The concrete-clad abode was designed by award-winning Japanese architect Tadao Ando in collaboration with L.A.’s WHY Architects. Renowned contemporary art collectors Bill and Maria Bell commissioned Ando to create the ultra-modern compound, which they bought for $14.5 million in 2003, the Los Angeles Times reported. (Bill is the son of late Emmy-winning soap opera creators Lee Phillip Bell and William J. Bell, who were behind shows including Bold and Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.)

Completed over a decade later in 2014, the crib has served as a museum of sorts for the Bells’ vast array of legendary artworks, which includes pieces by Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, and Andy Warhol, to name a few. “Thrilled to have #Acrobat with Cy Twombly’s work at Bill and Maria Bell’s incredible new #Malibu home,” Koons captioned a 2015 Instagram post. Over the years, stars such as Pharrell and Billy Idol have even paid a visit to the brutalist fortress in question.

Spread across eight acres on a bluff overlooking the ocean, the Pacific Cove estate features huge gray-toned hallways and sweeping, floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Outside, you’ll find manicured lawns, two glistening swimming pools, and an inviting patio. As the deal was handled off-market, there aren’t too many other design details available. Broker Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency reportedly represented the buyers and the seller, as per TMZ.

Ando has created more than a few notable private residences throughout his career, including fashion designer Tom Ford’s $75 million Cerro Pelon Ranch in New Mexico. The Pritzker Prize winner is also currently working on a Palm Springs pad for Kim Kardashian. The Carters are in good company, then. More
