Trevor Noah’s Airy NYC Penthouse Just Hit the Market for $13 Million

Just last month, Trevor Noah announced that he was stepping down as host of The Daily Show after seven years.  Now, as the comedian prepares for his departure on December 8, it looks like he’ll be parting ways with his New York City penthouse as well.

The 3,596-square-foot Hell’s Kitchen condo was extensively renovated during Noah’s ownership and is now listed for a cool $12.95 million with Nick Gavin of Compass. The three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom duplex is located within Manhattan’s century-old Stella Tower. Formerly known as the New York Telephone Building, it was originally designed by architect Ralph Walker in 1927 and in 2014, reimagined as a luxury residence.

The late-night talk show host’s former digs occupy the 17th and 18th floors and showcase cast metal archways, French doors, oak flooring and marble accents that make the abode feel ultra-modern. Even the walls are stylish, finished with suede leather and plaster. The home itself is bright and airy thanks to soaring 15-foot-tall ceilings and large floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Off the entry, you’ll find a floating staircase that leads to the upper floor which holds all the common spaces. There’s a dining room with seating for up to 12 guests, and in the chef’s kitchen, room for four more, plus marble slab countertops, top-of-the-line appliances, a wine fridge and pantry. A contemporary living room adjoins both spaces, complete with a gas-powered marble fireplace.

Elsewhere, a pair of double French doors in the sunroom opens to the sprawling 1,000-square-foot private terrace—a standout feature, no doubt. The alfresco space has been outfitted with a custom teak pergola, a heated plunge pool with built-in speakers and a black granite wet bar.

The lower level holds all three bedrooms, one of which is currently set up as a swanky home theater with four leather recliners and wool-upholstered walls. The primary suite offers its own private foyer, a hand-rubbed cortina leather wall and dual dressing rooms. In the principal bathroom, you’ll find a steam shower, soaking tub, heated limestone floors and marble vanities.

While there’s no word on whether Noah will return to TV (or stay in New York, for that matter), he told his audience that in the meantime, he wants to “carry on exploring.”

Russell Westbrook Just Bought the $37 Million Brentwood Mansion Across From LeBron James

Russell Westbrook and LeBron James have had their fair share of struggles on the court. Now, let’s see how the two Lakers do as neighbors.

Roughly a month after Westbrook put his Los Angeles mansion on the market, he dropped $37 million on another bonkers Brentwood residence. The 13,500-square-foot home was formerly owned by Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone and just so happens to be right across the street from James. Ecclestone and her husband, Sam Palmer, bought the estate back in 2019 for $22.7 million and made a slew of renovations over the years, reported Dirt. Palmer, an agent at Hilton & Hyland, represented the transaction.

“I am delighted to announce the off-market sale of our family home, Vita Nova, in Los Angeles,” Palmer said in an Instagram post. “In 2019, @petraecclestoneofficial and I purchased a modern farmhouse and spent several months redesigning, upgrading materials and finishes, and adjusting the floor plan to provide a better flow for our family living. We had a vision and strong belief that if we enhanced the design quality, we would create a beautiful home rarely seen in LA.”

The manse was originally built in 2018 by Cutting Edge Development and is sited on a half-acre hillside lot overlooking the Pacific. The three-level home comprises eight bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a two-car garage, plus an elevator. (The latter should come in handy while Westbrook rests his hamstring.) Outside, you’ll find a pool, spa, sundeck and a patio.

One of the many improvements Ecclestone and Palmer made was turning what used to be a detached 10-car garage into “staff quarters,” they told The New York Times. Today, the space holds multiple glass-walled offices, a break room and laundry units with dry-cleaning capabilities. Palmer also noted on social media that the off-market deal was completed swiftly and in record time, considering the current state of the housing market.

As for Westbrook, it looks like he won’t be leaving the LA area anytime soon. Sorry, Lakers fans. More

MLB Legend Chili Davis’s One-of-a-Kind Arizona Estate Hits the Market for $8.5 Million

Some athletes buy mega-mansions; others simply build their own. Case in point: MLB legend Chili Davis’s custom Arizona estate, which just hit the market.

Completed in 2000, the modern desert home sits on three acres atop Mummy Mountain and features seriously stunning vistas of Paradise Valley. Altogether it spans 9,395 square feet with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a detached guest casita, plus a four-car garage. Inside, expect to find a few nods to the former player’s sporty past, including a firepit in the shape of home plate. And if you’ve got $8.5 million in the bank, it’s a real possibility that Davis’s one-time dream home could become your new reality.

There’s a huge walk-out balcony that extends over the edge of Mummy Mountain

“The home was custom-built for baseball legend, Chili Davis, who had an amazing vision brought to life by Salcito Custom Homes,” says Frank Aazami of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. “This masterpiece property offers some of the most amazing views of the Valley that I have ever seen and is accompanied by luxurious amenities and stunning architecture.”

Underscoring Aazami’s point, the property features large walls of glass, soaring wood-beamed ceilings and pocket doors throughout, which make the home feel intimate and dramatic all at once. On the main level, you’ll find a stone “trophy wall” where the three-time All-Star used to store his mementos.

The great room is decked out with a billiards area and bar

It also offers a chef’s kitchen with a large center island and a billiards area that spills into the open-concept living and dining areas. Downstairs, the home theater was made to feel like an exact replica of South Beach with a 3-D, Art Deco skyline lining the walls.

The real draw, though, is the gigantic balcony that spans out over the edge of Mummy Mountain. From here, you can walk down to another outdoor patio on the first level which has an outdoor kitchen and infinity pool. And with the dry heat, you’re definitely gonna need it.

NBA Star Stephen Curry’s Former Bay Area Mansion Just Listed for $8.9 Million

When the Golden State Warriors made the move from Oakland to San Francisco in 2019, point guard Stephen Curry had to give up his East Bay digs due to the commute. Now, the behemoth manse that the NBA star and his wife Ayesha custom-built is back on the market once again.

Located in the suburbs of Alamo, the epic estate was completed in 2018 and sold for $6.4 million just one year later in an off-market deal, current owner Sam Hirbod told The Wall Street Journal. Fast forward three years, Curry’s former pad is now asking $8.9 million.

Sited on nearly one and a half acres, the home offers six bedrooms, eight and a half baths and a range of flashy amenities that were customized to the Curry’s tastes. Think a vegetable garden for Ayesha, a billiards room and home theater for Steph and even a personalized playhouse for their kids.

    The stylish lounge.

    Thomas Kuoh

The couple enlisted Stephen Kubitschek to spearhead the abode’s design. The 8,163-square-foot interior feels ultra modern thanks to the 30-foot ceilings, large expanses of glass, heated Italian wood floors and double-sided fireplaces. Like many contemporary homes, the layout is centered around indoor-outdoor living. Custom Fleetwood sliding doors connect the living area with the backyard, which plays host to a saltwater infinity pool, a cabana, a pizza oven, a smoker and a grill.

    The upscale kitchen.

    Thomas Kuoh

You can expect a fair share of glitzy features fit for basketball royalty, too. According to Hirbod, Steph dropped $500,000 on the media center, which is outfitted with a top-notch projector and sound system. Since Ayesha’s is quite the gourmet, the kitchen has been decked out with dual islands, Miele and Sub-Zero appliances and sleek, European-style cabinets. Of course, there’s also a seven-car garage for your collection.

Upstairs, there are separate guest and children wings that make the primary suite feel all the more private. The Curry’s one-time suite is as luxurious as you’d imagine with a 1,160-square-foot terrace and not one but three walk-in closets. If you ever dreamed of living like a professional athlete, now’s your chance.

Bonnie King of Compass has the listing.
