      ‘Emily in Paris’ Star Lily Collins Just Sold Her Pasadena Case Study House for $6 Million

      Actress Lily Collins’s home on the east side of Los Angeles has sold to an unidentified buyer in an all-cash, off-market deal for a speck under $6.2 million. That’s not only above the $6 million ask, but it’s also $2.3 million more than the Emily in Paris star and daughter of musician Phil Collins paid fellow actress Kristen Wiig for the historic midcentury gem in early 2021.

      Since then, Collins has thoughtfully renovated the premises in collaboration with Los Angeles-based designer Emily Farnham, with the finished project featured in the pages of Vogue last year. Originally designed in the 1940s by father-and-son architects Kemper Nomland and Kemper Nomland Jr. as part of the influential Case Study program sponsored by Arts & Architecture magazine, the pad is known as Case Study House #10 and is included on the National Register of Historic Places.

      Set on a gated and hedged corner hillside parcel spanning a third of an acre, amid a picturesque street in a sought-after neighborhood pocket of Pasadena where nearby neighbors include Meryl Streep, Grimes, and Oscar De La Hoya, the redwood-sided structure offers three bedrooms and an equal number of baths in roughly 3,400 square feet. Three levels of “mid-century California meets Scandinavian” living space showcase restored concrete floors, warm earth-hued interiors, and a floating staircase. There’s also a detached one-bedroom, one-bath guesthouse on the property.

      Collins previously owned a John Elgin Woolf-designed mansion in Beverly Hills that she picked up in 2016 for $12.5 million and sold five years later for a million dollars more. She and her director husband, Charlie McDowell, also reportedly own a couple of homes in Copenhagen, Denmark.

      The listing was held by Ted Clark and Heather Lillard of Compass. William Baker of The Agency repped the buyer.

      Dallas Mavericks Star Anthony Davis Is Seeking $40 Million for His 3-Acre L.A. Estate

      A little over four years ago, Anthony Davis doled out $31 million for a European-style mansion in the guard-gated Los Angeles community of Bel Air Crest. Now that he’s been traded to the Dallas Mavericks after a five-and-a-half-season run with the Lakers, the 10-time NBA All-Star has decided to let the place go for a dash under $40 million. Jordan Cohen of Re/Max One holds the listing.

      The estate is hidden down a gated driveway on a three-plus-acre lot. Built in 2010 and recently renovated, the three-story white stucco structure is fronted by a spacious motor court with parking for up to 30 vehicles, plus an attached four-car garage tucked off to the side.

      Eight bedrooms and 12 baths are sprawled across a little more than 17,200 square feet boasting sweeping views of the Santa Monica Mountains. A grand, double-height entry foyer with a 35-foot glass dome and a curving iron-railed staircase flows to the living room, which features a veined-marble fireplace and no less than six steel-framed French doors opening to Juliet balconies.

      Other highlights include a formal dining room that seats at least 16, plus a family room that connects via a casual dining area to a sleekly designed gourmet kitchen outfitted with a bronze-and-white checkerboard floor, an expansive eat-in island, top-tier stainless appliances, a wine fridge, and a workstation. Pocketing glass doors spill out to an alfresco dining and entertaining terrace.

Five additional en suite bedrooms can also be found on this floor, while the lower level hosts a movie theater, a game room with a seated bar, a wine display, a gym with a massage room, and a barber shop.

      As for the resort-like grounds, expect to find a massive pool and spa next to a cabana holding a kitchen and bar setup, along with a sunken fire pit, a lighted tennis/basketball court, a batting cage, a secluded cold plunge and sauna, and a custom-built children’s playhouse with its own HVAC. There’s also an elevator and both home automation and solar systems thrown in for good measure.

      A Hidden Hills Mansion With Ties to Kanye West Lists for $17 Million

      Here’s a little Hidden Hills real estate trivia: Kanye West briefly owned a modest, outdated home in the guard-gated enclave favored by celebs—it’s right across from the sprawling estate he once shared with ex-wife Kim Kardashian—but he never actually lived there. He acquired the property in 2021 for $4.5 million and sold it two years later for $4.25 million, a quarter-million-dollar loss for the controversial rapper, not counting holding expenses and real estate fees.

      Step inside, and Omar’s signature organic modernism is everywhere: rich woods, textured stone, and soft earth-toned plaster combine with soaring ceilings and exposed wooden beams. The light-colored wood floors and neutral furnishings create a calm, grounded feeling.

      The home’s layout strikes a perfect balance between grand and intimate. There are five bedrooms and six full bathrooms plus a powder room. The primary suite is truly a retreat, featuring a steam shower, sauna, and sculptural soaking tub designed for serious relaxation. Plus, it sports a private terrace and floor-to-ceiling fireplace. The four other secondary bedrooms on the upper floor each have en suite baths, offering privacy and comfort for family or guests.

      Kate Moss’s Former London Home Hits the Market for $8 Million

      A one-time hideaway for one of Britain’s most iconic supermodels has hit the market.

      Tucked away behind high walls on a quiet stretch of Greville Road, just beyond the heart of St John’s Wood, the former London residence of Kate Moss is now being offered for £5.95 million (roughly $7.7 million) through Arlington Residential.

      “My firm’s association with this beautiful period house goes back over 30 years to when we first sold the property for less than £800,000,” says Arlington Residential director Marc Schneiderman. “At that time, it was arranged over two main floors.”

      Measuring roughly 4,740 square feet, the Victorian-era, white stucco home offers a combination of privacy, charm, and pedigree. Moss purchased the six-bedroom property in 2002 for £1.75 million ($2.3 million), moving in with her daughter Lila Grace, who was born that year. She lived there for a decade, reportedly adding her signature flair to the interiors, including a jungle-themed living room and a neon-lit party space. Those more playful elements have since been replaced with a clean, neutral palette that creates an elegant, understated vibe throughout.

      “The house is almost unseen from the road, appealing to buyers who seek discretion and privacy,” adds Schneiderman. “It features a surprisingly large southwest-facing walled rear garden as well as a beautiful high-ceiling drawing room.”

      One of the home’s most distinctive upgrades is its lower-ground floor extension—completed before Moss moved in—which created a light-filled kitchen, family room, and casual entertaining area that opens directly onto the garden. Other highlights include an elegant drawing room with high ceilings and access to a full-width terrace, a spacious principal suite with dual dressing rooms, a study, a garden room, and secure gated parking for several cars.

      The rear garden—unusually large for London—acts as a natural extension of the home, with both upper and lower terraces designed to maximize indoor-outdoor living. Traditional wooden floors and oversized windows help flood the interiors with natural light, while crisp white walls give the home a fresh, gallery-like feel.

      Moss sold the home in 2012 for £6.8 million as she relocated to the Cotswolds, trading city life for the countryside. The neighborhood, meanwhile, has long drawn a high-wattage crowd. Just around the corner, a mansion on St. John’s Wood Park formerly rented by Rihanna during her U.K. stint was recently sold for £27.5 million ($33.4 million), setting a local price-per-square-foot record. The pop icon reportedly paid £18,000 per week to lease the home while based in London between 2018 and 2020. You should be in good company, then.

      Ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt Just Dropped $110 Million on Aaron Spelling’s Former L.A. Mansion

      Over the past several years, Eric Schmidt’s ever-growing real estate portfolio has been the talk of several towns—he’s spent hundreds of millions buying up prime properties in locales like Montecito, Miami Beach, San Francisco, and London. As first reported by The Wall Street Journal, the former Google CEO has now added a trophy house in the affluent Holmby Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles to his vast collection, doling out $110 million for the Manor, a Holmby Hills megamansion built by the late primetime TV titan Aaron Spelling and his socialite wife, Candy.

      Including his new house, Schmidt owns well over $300 million worth of luxury real estate in the L.A. area alone. Not only does the current CEO of aerospace innovator Relativity Space lay claim to several other residences in Holmby Hills, including Gregory Peck’s onetime abode and a $65 million estate that served as the longtime home of the late hotelier Barron Hilton, but he also possesses a $65 million parcel of undeveloped land in the mountains high above Beverly Hills that was last owned by deceased tech billionaire Paul Allen.

      As for his latest acquisition, it was originally listed for $165 million in February 2022, with the price dropping to $137.5 million in April 2024 before ultimately going to Schmidt at a big discount. The listing was held by Drew Fenton of Carolwood Estates, with Linda May of Carolwood repping Schmidt.

      The Holmby Hills mansion was custom built by Aaron and Candy Spelling in the 1990s and has also been owned by Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone.

      The 56,000-square-foot mansion was custom built and resided in for years by the Spellings. Completed in the early 1990s and recently updated to the tune of around $20 million by a previous owner, English Formula One racing heiress Petra Ecclestone, the chateau-style dwelling sprawls across nearly five manicured acres with numerous outdoor amenities. There’s a massive backyard lawn, a pool and spa, fountains, a tennis court, citrus trees, and rose gardens, as well as two separate motor courts and covered parking with room for dozens of vehicles.

      The perks continue inside the opulent limestone-clad structure, complete with a bowling alley, a movie theater, a nightclub, a wine cellar, an aquarium, and a beauty salon with massage and tanning rooms, plus 14 bedrooms and a jaw-dropping 27 bathrooms. Not bad for a place that’s touted in marketing materials as “undoubtedly one of the finest estates in the world.”

      Per WSJ, Schmidt and his wife, Wendy—both avid philanthropists who recently partnered with the L.A. Museum of Contemporary Art to create the Environment and Art Prize fund in their name—bought the home primarily to host meetings and events for local nonprofit and cultural institutions.
