Yankees Legend Jorge Posada Is Selling His Waterfront Florida Mansion for $20 Million

This oceanfront mansion in Florida is quite the catch. Located in the exclusive Old Cutler Bay community, the highly coveted waterfront estate belongs to none other than Yankees legend Jorge Posada and his wife, Laura. The five-time All-Star was said to have purchased the house in 2010 for $6.25 million, just two years before he retired in 2012, as reported by Mansion Global. Angel Nicolas of The Nicolas Group at Compass has now listed the Coral Gables abode for $19.9 million.

The former MLB star’s seaside property encompasses a seven-bedroom and nine-bathroom home with an impressive 11,800 square feet of living space, along with a private boat dock and a six-car garage. It’s decked out with a slew of amenities, too, including an infinity pool that overlooks the canal and a putting green where you can practice your short game whenever the mood strikes.

The Coral Gables estate will set you back $19.9 million.

Inside the home, the decor is decidedly modern with pops of bright white and glossy finishes. The first floor comprises a formal dining room with a wall-mounted wine rack, an uber contemporary chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and two double living spaces. There’s also a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, including multiple covered terraces, three balconies and a two-story al fresco entertainment area outfitted with a summer kitchen.

The Florida property includes a boat dock, a putting green, pool and a seven-bedroom house.

Upstairs is where you’ll find the primary suite with an incredible walk-in closet that’s roughly the size of two bedrooms combined. The former athlete’s estate also has its own gym, of course, along with a navy-clad movie theater, two home offices and a basement with a billiards area.

It’s safe to say, the celebrated catcher has created one home run of a home

Christian Slater’s Italian-Style Villa in Miami Hits the Market for $4 Million

Christian Slater is moving on from Miami. The actor-producer has listed his stylish villa in The Magic City for $3.95 million.

Located in the affluent area of Coconut Grove, the Italian-inspired property was purchased by Mr. Robot himself in 2013 for $2.21 million, according to Architectural Digest. The two-story villa includes four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and a detached guest suite. Compass, which has the listing, notes that the home was originally built in 1928 and was renovated in 2003.

Slater’s 3,370-square-foot abode is decidedly more Spanish in appearance: The design elements include custom arched mahogany wood doorways, stucco walls and terracotta roofing. The interiors are a mix of crisp whites, earthy tones and light-stained oak flooring. Outdoors, a brick-lined patio accompanies a heated swimming pool surrounded by lush landscaping.

A formal dining room opens up to the outdoor patio.

The first floor of the main house holds a newly remodeled kitchen with SubZero, Viking, and Miele appliances, a living area complete with a fireplace and den, in addition to a dining area with French doors that opens directly to the outdoor pool. You’ll also find a large pantry, half-bathroom, entertainment area and dining nook on the floor.
The second floor comprises three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The coveted master suite features a Juliet balcony, a sizable walk-in closet, an ensuite bathroom with marble tiling and a separate shower and soaking tub. Upping the ante is a rooftop terrace off the master, a dreamy outdoor space that overlooks the pool and comes with its own seating area.

A private rooftop terrace off the second-floor master suite.

Adjacent to the main house is a secondary dwelling for guests. The detached guest house has its own bedroom and a full bathroom that’s outfitted with a steam shower. There’s also a dedicated area for entertaining friends and family.
Smartly, the home has been fortified for hurricane season: There’s a generator on-site and the property is protected by impact-resistant windows and a brand-new retaining wall on the east side.
So, why is Slater saying goodbye to the Sunshine State? The actor will now reportedly split his time between New York and Los Angeles for upcoming projects.
Liz Hogan and Charles Celesia of Compass are the listing agents.

Radio Mogul Tom Joyner’s $20 Million Florida Mansion Has a Boxing Ring and Access to a Private Beach

Retired radio host Tom Joyner, best known for his nationally syndicated program The Tom Joyner Morning Show, just listed his Golden Beach, Florida, estate for $20 million.

The 7,340-square-foot residence has three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, plus spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. Joyner spent two-and-a-half years gut renovating the home to perfection. When he bought the place, he fell in love with the proximity to the beach and the views, and was able to construct a vision that didn’t include copious amounts of the ‘80s-style travertine popular in the area. He worked with designer Deborah Wecselman of Wecselman Design, architect Wesley Kean of KoDA, contractor Larqcon Group and landscape architecture firm Enea. In total, he spent $7.5 million on the renovation. It was completed in 2020—but now, he’s saying farewell.

The home features oversized rooms that seamlessly flow into one another, plenty of natural light, ample outdoor space and ocean-framing views from every room. The modern residence is also dominated by clean lines, perfect symmetry and muted tones. Joyner’s personalized touch? Hints of bright red, his favorite color, are woven throughout the space, whether it’s within his private art collection of works from Picasso, Robert Pruitt, Allora & Calzadilla and Ernie Barnes, or the floor of his garage-turned-boxing ring. The foyer, which features a bold curved staircase, also acts as an art gallery, and this is where his prized collection currently hangs. While Joyner might not be selling his art, he is selling the home fully furnished for a total turnkey experience.

Of all the rooms, the primary suite is a sure highlight. It spans the entirety of the third floor and has a glass-encased RiFRA tub in the center and even a bright-red urinal. Joyner created a large closet to house his sneakers and clothes; it’s also ideal for showcasing a handbag collection. On the lower level, he transformed the garage to include a boxing ring and fitness amenities, complete with a vibrant red floor.
Outside, there is a swimming pool with a spacious patio, summer kitchen, beachside cabana and a four-block stretch of private beach. There’s easy access to the beach through a path from the home. Golden Beach is known for its high-profile residents and luxury homes, and it’s also the only private community with homes on the sand in South Florida; it’s guard-gated with its owm police force to ensure privacy. Golden Beach residents also have access to beachside service, tennis courts, parks and a kid’s playground.

“With direct private beach access, open ocean views from every angle and impeccable design, this beach house is a unicorn property,” says listing agent Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman. “A home of this turnkey caliber is nearly impossible to find. The interior details are breathtaking and your backyard is the sand. Golden Beach is like the Malibu of Miami.”
