Trans Am Champ Simon Gregg’s $13 Million Florida Manse Comes With a Private Dock—and It’s Up for Grabs

It looks like three-time Trans Am champion Simon Gregg is shifting gears. The race car driver has put his South Florida mansion on the market, and now the prized pad can be yours.

Gregg’s five-bedroom, six-bathroom abode sits right on the border of Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter. The latter is where A-list professional athletes including Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods also own property. According to records, he paid roughly $9 million for the spread back in 2021. He recently hoisted it back onto the market for a cool $12.8 million with Holly Meyer Lucas of the Meyer Lucas Real Estate Team at Compass.

Sited on half an acre, the contemporary residence offers 100 feet of direct frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway. Naturally, there’s a private dock for you to park your yacht or to sit on while you watch the boats pass by. Other outdoor amenities include a summer kitchen, a fire pit, a sparkling swimming pool, and multiple sundecks. Essentially, it’s the perfect place for either entertainment or relaxation.

Trans Am champion Simon Gregg just listed his waterfront estate in South Florida for $12.8 million.

Internally, no expenses were spared in terms of the design. There are expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, a glass-enclosed wine room, and stone flooring throughout that was imported from Italy. The overall aesthetic is modern and minimal, which is a big departure from other addresses in the neighborhood. The kitchen feels super sleek, decked out with top-of-the-line Gaggenau and Miele appliances, a large center island, tons of storage, and even a hidden wet bar. “It’s a treat to show it,” Meyer Lucas told Mansion Global. “There’s no part of the home that’s not aesthetically pleasing, even the laundry room.”

The home spans two floors and has primary suites on both levels.

Elsewhere, a lavish first-level primary suite sports its own covered patio. Plus, the spa-like bathroom comes complete with a freestanding soaking tub, a double vanity, an oversized shower, and a custom walk-in closet. A solid wood floating staircase leads to the second floor and another primary suite. Here, you’ll have your own sitting area (which could double as an office), another custom walk-in dressing room, and en suite. The pièce de résistance, though, is a balcony that looks straight out to the water. It’s a view that can’t be beat.

Baseball Great David Ortiz’s Miami Mansion Hits the Market for $12.5 Million

While David Ortiz’s MLB career might be over, Big Papi is still taking big swings—the latest being the massive Miami manse he built.

The former Boston Red Sox slugger has hoisted his home in South Florida’s Pinecrest neighborhood onto the market and for $12.5 million. According to records, the American League All-Star originally bought the one-acre lot back in 2016, the same year he announced his retirement. He then custom-built an uber-modern estate in 2019 and had it decked out with its own state-of-the-art movie theater, an elevator and, wait for it, a sports bar with enough space to mount nine TVs.

David “Big Papi” Ortiz is selling his Miami mansion for $12.5 million

1 OAK Studios / ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

Altogether, the spread measures a whopping 10,200 square feet and includes five bedrooms and eight bathrooms across two stories. Outdoors, you’ll find a sparkling swimming pool, a spa, shower and summer kitchen. The tropical grounds are also dotted with multiple fire pits that you can cozy up next to, a gazebo, lush greenery and a reflecting pool.

Internally, giant full-length windows and soaring high ceilings bring in a ton of extra sun making the whole space feel bright and airy. From the looks of it, it’s clear that the superstar athlete liked to entertain. There are two different living areas to kick back in, an expansive dining room, plus a great room. Naturally, the kitchen has plenty of space to prep for guests with dual refrigerators, a large center island and a walk-in pantry.

The primary suite has a hidden TV that drops down from the ceiling

1 OAK Studios / ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

Of course, the primary suite is as impressive as the rest of the property, if not more, outfitted with its own sitting area, spa bath, soaking tub and 16-foot shower. Considering there was nowhere to put the TV that wouldn’t interrupt the views, Big Papi decided to install a hidden screen that unfolds straight from the ceiling instead. Pretty clever, huh?

Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro Just Set a Real Estate Record With His New $10.5 Million South Florida Mansion

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro rang in 2023 like any rising star athlete—with a game-winning buzzer-beater and a new house.

Late last month, the 22-year-old NBA player scooped up a South Florida mansion and set a new real estate record in the process, reported The Real Deal. Herro dropped $10.5 million on a massive estate in Miami-Dade County’s affluent Pinecrest neighborhood, where only eight other properties have been sold for $8 million and above. (Although, the original asking price for his Balinese-inspired abode was $11.9 million.) Measuring a whopping 9,505 square feet, the guard’s residence includes eight bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms. While you won’t find any waterfront views, rest assured a glorious tropical garden serves as the backdrop instead.

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro just bought a $10.5 million mansion in South Florida, setting a new real estate record for the Pinecrest area.

    Brown Harris Stevens Miami

“Pinecrest is an incredibly desirable destination for luxury home buyers, and this home is truly the area’s crown jewel,” said Josie Wang of Brown Harris Stevens Miami, who represented the sellers, in a press statement. “The location offers proximity to Miami’s finest attractions, including marinas, top schools, dining, shopping and parks. The home is unrivaled in its design, craftsmanship and custom, top-of-the-line finishes from lighting to millwork.”

Completed in 2021, the glass-walled manse is sited on a roughly one-acre lot and was first purchased for a modest $5.3 million while it was still being built. Considering the property has now sold for close to double that amount, Herro will have his choice of swanky amenities to enjoy—everything from a wine cellar and gourmet chef’s kitchen to a spacious media room. Elsewhere, the modern home gets its high-end look thanks to walls of floor-to-ceiling glass and globally sourced materials, including natural marble, stone and wood that have been imported from Brazil and Italy.

Herro’s new home has eight bedrooms, eight-and-a-half bathrooms and Balinese-inspired architecture.

Naturally, indoor/outdoor living comes with the territory. Out back, the grounds take cues from the South Pacific as well with lush landscaping and local flora. At the center is a large swimming pool, surrounded by additional water features as well as a patio and a cabana. If and when Herro decides to play host at his new digs, the summer kitchen should come in clutch—something the baller knows a thing or two about.

Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Just Snapped Up Palm Beach’s Most Expensive Condo for $23.7 Million

When Robert Kraft bought the New England Patriots for $172 million nearly three decades ago, he set a league record. Now, the billionaire owner has made history yet again—this time in the real estate realm—with the purchase of a new penthouse in Palm Beach.

Kraft recently dropped a whopping $23.7 million on an oceanfront condo in South Florida, making it the priciest pad to ever sell in the ritzy island enclave, according to the Wall Street Journal. For context, that’s about $3 million less than the original asking price when it was first listed in September. The swanky seaside digs span roughly 5,000 square feet and comprise four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, plus a 1,300-square-foot wraparound terrace.

Prior to Kraft acquiring the abode, the apartment belonged to oil tycoon Erving Wolf and his wife, Joyce. The couple bought the condo back in 2000 for a modest $6 million, one of only a few penthouses sited directly on the beach. Before Erving passed away in 2018, and Joyce in 2022, they tapped their daughter-in-law, renowned American architect and sculptor Maya Lin, to renovate the home. Lin, whose best known for designing Washington’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial, gave the residence a modern and contemporary refresh. Most notably, she added natural wood, stone and limestone to mirror the color of the ocean.

“The apartment when we first saw it had potentially wonderful views to the water but was partitioned off by a more traditional separation of formal rooms,” Lin told the WSJ in September. Inside, you’ll find soaring floor-to-ceiling windows, walnut floors and large glass doors that lend a bright and airy feel to the open layout. Elsewhere, there’s a library, dining room, kitchen and a large living area. Considering the couple were avid art collectors, the foyer, which serves as a mini gallery, is where Kraft can now freely hang his own blue-chip works—or, of course, showcase his six Super Bowl trophies.

Yankees Legend Jorge Posada Is Selling His Waterfront Florida Mansion for $20 Million

This oceanfront mansion in Florida is quite the catch. Located in the exclusive Old Cutler Bay community, the highly coveted waterfront estate belongs to none other than Yankees legend Jorge Posada and his wife, Laura. The five-time All-Star was said to have purchased the house in 2010 for $6.25 million, just two years before he retired in 2012, as reported by Mansion Global. Angel Nicolas of The Nicolas Group at Compass has now listed the Coral Gables abode for $19.9 million.

The former MLB star’s seaside property encompasses a seven-bedroom and nine-bathroom home with an impressive 11,800 square feet of living space, along with a private boat dock and a six-car garage. It’s decked out with a slew of amenities, too, including an infinity pool that overlooks the canal and a putting green where you can practice your short game whenever the mood strikes.

The Coral Gables estate will set you back $19.9 million.

    Lifestyle Production Group

Inside the home, the decor is decidedly modern with pops of bright white and glossy finishes. The first floor comprises a formal dining room with a wall-mounted wine rack, an uber contemporary chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and two double living spaces. There’s also a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, including multiple covered terraces, three balconies and a two-story al fresco entertainment area outfitted with a summer kitchen.

The Florida property includes a boat dock, a putting green, pool and a seven-bedroom house.

    Lifestyle Production Group

Upstairs is where you’ll find the primary suite with an incredible walk-in closet that’s roughly the size of two bedrooms combined. The former athlete’s estate also has its own gym, of course, along with a navy-clad movie theater, two home offices and a basement with a billiards area.

It’s safe to say, the celebrated catcher has created one home run of a home
