NBA Star Carmelo Anthony’s Revamped NYC Condo Just Hit the Market for $12.5 Million

NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony just re-listed his slam dunk of a Manhattan condo.

The nearly 5,000-square-foot Chelsea residence was originally listed by the pro basketballer pre-pandemic in 2020 for $12.5 million. Though it returns to market with the same asking price, the full-floor abode has been treated to an extensive renovation and is ready for a new owner.

The five-bedroom, four-bathroom home sits next to New York City’s famous High Line in a 10-story complex on 24th Street. The secluded sanctuary is accessed via two private elevators, which take you to the north and south wings, respectively. Inside, the home features premium designer furnishings, 10-foot ceilings, white oak floors and wide gallery-like walls to house your collection.

A view from inside the expansive Chelsea condo

Located in the south wing of the home, the living room offers treetop views of the High Line and plenty of room for relaxation. Pocket doors will lead you to the kitchen, which includes custom cabinetry topped with Calacatta gold marble, a variety of high-end Viking appliances and windows with yet another striking vista. Oh, it has a wine cooler, too.
Adjacent to the kitchen, the media room comes with a custom-built bar, a cigar humidor and a 500-bottle, temperature-controlled wine room for your prized vintages. The room even has its own private spa bathroom, making it an excellent choice for a second primary suite if you so desire.

Off the wide hallway, you’ll find a guest bathroom and two east-facing guest bedrooms that overlook the city below. The primary suite, meanwhile, sports a king-size bed and a spa-like en suite with heated floors, a steam shower, a soaking tub and a double vanity. The suite’s two closets include a massive walk-in dressing room, along with a pocket door leading to a secondary bedroom that could be used as a sitting room or nursery, for example.
Elsewhere, the home offers a great room, a fifth guest room, large hallway closets for storage, and a laundry room complete with two washers and dryers. It is also equipped with a private outdoor space that has the Big Apple’s skyline as a backdrop.

    Primary bedroom suite

    Glen E.Johnson/DDReps

The building itself comes with a few perks, too, including access to a fitness room, a massive common courtyard, a bike room and a private storage space. There’s also a doorman on duty 24/7 and a video security system throughout the grounds.

To top it off, the condo is located in the heart of the West Chelsea Arts District and surrounded by noted attractions, such as Chelsea Market, Hudson Yards and the Whitney Museum.
“Outside of the serenity I feel in the great room, my favorite is the moody media room that has been tailored for the ultimate retreat to escape the bustle of the world,” listing agent Aaron Seawood of Triplemint said via email. “And if that’s not your thing, the ability to have another bedroom or work from home space with en suite spa bathroom is heavenly.”
    Slam dunk, indeed.

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello Just Listed Their Ultra-Private Beverly Hills Mansion for $19.6 Million

A modern family just listed its luxe Beverly Hills home.

Emmy-winning actress Sofia Vergara and her husband, actor Joe Manganiello, are saying farewell to their 11,369-square-foot home. The swanky residence, which is gated, features soaring ceilings, spiral staircases and ornate details that take inspiration from Renaissance-era Italian architecture. It also includes seven bedrooms, two of which are maid’s quarters, and 11 bathrooms that feature eye-catching wallpapers and tiles, all of them conceived by interior designer Jennifer Bevan.

And while the home’s details dazzle, take a look at the whole and you’ll find it’s thoughtfully designed for serious entertaining. It has a new kitchen equipped with high-end appliances including an industrial stove, two dishwashers, two warming drawers and a Sub-Zero refrigerator. A marble island balances out the space, which also features exposed wooden beams. Off to the side of the kitchen is a quaint space for a quick family breakfast. Elsewhere, there are two other dining areas for accommodating guests on special occasions. The largest of the dining spaces features a coffered ceiling and French doors that lead onto the property’s gardens.

One of the living rooms in the home with a fireplace.

    Michael McNamara/Sotheby’s International Realty

Those details appear elsewhere in the generously sized home, which will also help you welcome guests with its wine cellar, a home theater that seats 25 people and a bar that’ll make space for a serious party.
And as you venture outdoors, the home’s pool, spa and manicured grounds offer lots of room for family BBQs and other special events. Given that the 90210 zip code has no shortage of bold-faced names as residents, the garden is lined with tall, lush hedges for privacy. When you’re ready to leave the fortress, you’ll find many of Beverly Hills’s top-rated attractions from shopping on Rodeo Drive to delicious grass-fed Wagyu beef at Matū steakhouse nearby.
“[The] couple is selling the home because they bought a bigger house in the same area that they gutted and have been working on for two years,” says listing agent Barry Peele of Sotheby’s International Realty—Beverly Hills Brokerage via email with Robb Report. “[The] best buyer is someone who likes an Italian-style house with some contemporary finishes.”

If that happens to be you, the elegant listing can now be yours for just $19.6 million.

Mark Wahlberg’s Palatial Beverly Hills Estate Could Be Yours for $87.5 Million

After spending less than a decade in his custom Beverly Hills compound, Marky Mark’s taking his good vibrations elsewhere.

The rapper-turned-actor, officially known as Mark Wahlberg, recently listed his epic, château-style home for $87.5 million. It has an array of features that make the price tag worth it, too. Situated on more than 6 acres of land in the tony gated community of North Beverly Park, the 30,000-square-foot mansion boasts 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms. You’ll also find a movie theater, gym, wine cellar and two-story paneled library within.

    The cozy library.

    Anthony Barcelo

But the property’s real selling point might be all that’s located outside. The tennis court, basketball court and five-hole golf course would meet just about anyone’s recreational needs, while the private skate park is ideal for sporty kids or adventurous adults. The resort-like grotto pool, meanwhile, is the perfect place to host guests while enjoying the sunny Los Angeles weather.

All of the outdoor amenities can be seen from an aerial view.

    Anthony Barcelo

The estate was designed by Richard Landry, whom The New York Times has referred to as “the king of the megamansion.” Landry has worked with numerous other celebrities, including Tom Brady, Rod Stewart and Michael Bolton, and his designs have previously been recognized as some of Robb Report’s “Ultimate Homes.”
Landry told the Times in 2015 that he and Wahlberg “had so much fun” collaborating on the actor’s abode.

    The home at sunset.

    Anthony Barcelo

Wahlberg was born in Boston but his ties to LA are strong. He started out as a member of the hip-hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch before transitioning to acting in the mid-’90s. Since then, he’s been nominated for two Oscars, three Golden Globes, nine Primetime Emmys and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010.
The A-lister’s manse is being represented by Kurt Rappaport at the Westside Estate Agency. The brokerage has called the sale “a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the great estates in Los Angeles.”
Given the compound’s size, the buyer would have a lot of privacy to enjoy, but they’d also be in pretty good company: New neighbors would include the likes of Denzel Washington, Justin Bieber and Sofia Vergara.
    Who needs the Funky Bunch?

The Late Betty White’s Long-Time Los Angeles Home Just Hit the Market for $10.5 Million

Days after Betty White’s Carmel vacation home sold for well over its $7.9 million asking price, the late actor’s estate has listed another one of her charming California properties for $10.5 million.

Located in LA’s prestigious Brentwood Park, the colonial-style abode sits on nearly three-quarters of an acre and affords prime views of the iconic Getty Museum and nearby mountains. Originally built in 1952, the retro residence was purchased by the beloved Golden Girls star and her late husband Allen Ludden in ’68, just a few years after they married in ’63.

Spanning 3,029 square feet, the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home features an apt all-white façade that is juxtaposed with cheerful yellow accents and terracotta roofing. It offers a host of sweet amenities, too, including a pool, a three-car garage and an idyllic sunroom. To top it off, there’s a guesthouse where the Hollywood power couple played charades with fellow A-listers, such as Dinah Shore, Burt Reynolds and more.

A backyard view of the Brentwood property’s pool and guesthouse.

Barcelo Photography for Sotheby’s International Realty

Naturally, the property is gated and sits back from the street to ensure there’s plenty of privacy. The huge, park-like grounds, meanwhile, will be perfect for hosting celebrities and other well-heeled guests.
“Betty White was a California girl through and through,” White’s estate said in a statement. “Despite living in New York when she and Allen Ludden were first married, she longed to be ‘back home’ in Los Angeles where she grew up.”

A distance view of the spacious backyard.

Barcelo Photography for Sotheby’s International Realty

White, who was born in Oak Park, Illinois, won five Emmys throughout her prolific 80-year career, starring in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Proposal, Lake Placid and countless other hits. She died from a stroke in December 2021 but her memory lives on in this Brentwood home.
The listing is held by Marlene Okulick of Sotheby’s International Realty’s Pacific Palisades Brokerage. According to the firm, this is the first time the property has been on the market in over 50 years. What’s more, it’s being sold for land value. This means the value of the land itself and any improvements that have been made to it are taken into account.
It sounds like a white-hot deal to us. More

Actor David Spade’s Sleek, ’70s Beverly Hills Home Can Be Yours for $20 Million

After two decades of ownership, David Spade is officially ready to part ways with his stylish Beverly Hills abode.

Built in 1978, the Saturday Night Live alum’s home sits on three-quarters of an acre in the Trousdale Estates community. Its modern layout was designed by prolific architect Edward Fickett and includes 6,426 square feet of space containing four bedrooms, seven bathrooms and three fireplaces. The sunken great room in the home features 20-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors that open to a patio.

    The sunken great room

    Tyler Hogan

“The house is just like, window city,” the comedian told The Wall Street Journal in an interview. “It’s like, ‘Come over and bring Windex.’” In addition to becoming neighbors with actors Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, the home’s new owners will enjoy property amenities like a motor court, three-car garage, pool and tennis court.
The Bachelor in Paradise host first viewed an aerial shot of the property back in 1990, and immediately knew he wanted to purchase it. “It looked so cool, it was the old ‘70s style and I wanted it right way,” he said in the WSJ interview.

The pool and outdoor patio with scenic views

    Tyler Hogan

Unfortunately, negotiations fell through with the seller at that time and Spade wasn’t able to purchase the house until three years later for roughly $4 million. It’s now being listed for $19.995 million.
That price jump reflects some improvements to the property, as the actor says he “gussied up” the residence little by little over the years. He started by replacing the Spanish-style, red-tile roof with sleek metal parapet and installing gray hardwood floors throughout the home. He eventually went on to upgrade the kitchen and his-and-hers primary bathrooms and expand the TV room by tacking on a bar.
    The all-new kitchen
Although Spade initially bought the house because of its “good vibe,” the 57-year-old believes he is ready for a change—but “could easily still be there.” To get the ball rolling, he purchased a new home for $13.85 million this past fall in the famous Hollywood Hills. The new residence reportedly also has a modern design, but it’s far larger than the Beverly Hills home, with a span of about 11,300 square feet. It even has a theater which he will potentially use to record podcasts.

The listing is currently held by Stuart Vetterick of Hilton & Hyland. To learn more about the property visit MLS.com. Check out more images below:

You Can Call Bing Crosby’s Former Coachella Valley Estate Your Own for $4.5 Million

In need of an oasis? Look no further than the late superstar Bing Crosby’s former desert estate in Rancho Mirage, California.

Having been listed on and off the market for over a decade, the midcentury modern home has a new asking price of $4.5 million. Sitting on roughly 1.5 acres in a gated community called Thunderbird Heights, the 6,700 square-foot home was built by the “White Christmas” singer in the 1950s. It includes five bedrooms, a home theater, a double-oven kitchen, an outdoor patio and jaw-dropping views of the Coachella Valley. Of course, the desert utopia also comes with its own pool, spa, putting green and an entire guest wing (with two bedrooms) for when company comes to stay.

The front yard of the home.

    Kristofer Magenheim

The current owner, Robert Teller, first listed the property for $3.495 million in 2010. David Emerson and Alexandra Trejo of Compass now share the listing, and believe the strong local real-estate market will pull in attractive offers, according to The Wall Street Journal. For context, the median sale price in Rancho Mirage was up 32.4% in the third quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2021, according to data from Miller Samuel Real Estate Appraisers & Consultants. “Our market is on fire,” Emerson tells the WSJ. “We’ve been in double-digit increases annually for the past several years.”

Back in 2005, Teller, a former ice cream industry entrepreneur and a real estate investor, bought the house for $2.625 million. According to reports, he said he bought it because his late wife, who was battling cancer at the time, wanted a home in the desert. The businessman was also drawn to the estate himself, as he shared an appreciation for Crosby with his father growing up. When his wife passed, Teller began listing the property—having found that he’s not as big a fan of the desert as his is of the entertainer.

Harry Lillis “Bing” Crosby Jr. is one of the most popular entertainers of all time, known for both his singing and acting success from 1926 to 1977. In 1931, he launched his first radio show, and later went on to host the hugely popular “The Bing Crosby Show for Chesterfield” on CBS Radio. The actor starred in over 70 motion pictures including classics like “Road to Bali” and “High Society.” He went on to become an Oscar and Grammy award-winner before his death.

Stevie Wonder Just Snapped Up This $14 Million Bel Air Mansion From a Saudi Prince

Ooh, baby! Stevie Wonder has signed, sealed and delivered himself to “Higher Ground” in Bel Air, where records reveal he’s dropped nearly $14 million on an elephantine hillside mansion. With views over the rugged surrounding mountains and shadowy canyons, the Mediterranean-style house is located in Bel Air Crest, the exclusive guard-gated community where other current and former residents have included NBA star Anthony Davis, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Astute real estate watchers and Wonder fans may recall that the 71-year-old music icon is not new to the Bel Air Crest community. For the last several years, he and wife Tomeeka Bracy have been leasing another huge mansion in the same enclave—a house that happens to sit right next door to the main L.A. residence of one Gordon Ramsay. The Bracy-Wonders frequently stop by to sample their neighbor’s cooking, according to Ramsay himself.
While Wonder’s newly purchased mansion is further away from Ramsay, it’s still within walking distance of a world-class meal. And with nearly 20,000 square feet of living space, it will certainly require enough walking to work up a healthy appetite. There are 11 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, plus attached staff quarters and a 2,550-bottle wine cellar. Though the place was built in 2009, its yellowish-beige stucco exterior harks back to a distinctly ’90s, suburban sort of vintage.

In 2012, the massive home was sold for $13.3 million to HH Prince Mohammed bin Faisal bin Saud Al Saud, a son of Princess Etab bint Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and a maternal grandson of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, who was crown prince of Saudi Arabia from 2005-2011. His Highness bought the house as a single man, though in 2013 he married Princess Madawi bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The couple apparently didn’t spend much time in Bel Air—over the last few years, the giant house has been leased out, most recently at a princely monthly rate of $75,000, per listings.
Here’s a virtual spin through the Wonder-ful house, which is one of the largest and likely one of the most lavish homes in Bel Air Crest.

Positioned at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the Tuscan-influenced house stands tall behind iron gates. There’s a front-facing three-car garage and additional driveway space for a couple more vehicles.

Inside, the double front doors open into a hanger-sized foyer that soars two—or possibly three—stories tall, and it topped by skylights for a more ethereal vibe.

Linestone flooring extends to the multiple lounge areas and sitting rooms. This living room is serviced by a mahogany wet bar.

For convenience, a wood-clad elevator services all of the home’s three levels.

    The pool.

    Zillow

The infinity-edged pool features an inset spa. While the property spans more than a half-acre, the house takes up a substantial part of the lot. Still, there are plenty of grassy play areas and a park-like collection of beautifully mature trees.

Emanouel Ourshano of Platinum Estates held the listing; Nick Segal and Rick Ojeda of Avenue 8 repped the buyer.

In addition to his new Bel Air digs, Wonder’s sizable property portfolio still includes commercial property in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley, two houses in the Hollywood Hills and an estate in Alpine, New Jersey. More
