      Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s Stylish LA Estate Hits the Market for $18 Million

      After recently celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are calling it quits on their Hancock Park home after 7 years.  

      The former Black Sabbath frontman and his wife, host of The Talk UK, have just listed their 11,565-square-foot estate for $18 million in one of LA’s most affluent areas, according to the Los Angeles Times. The trophy property was built in 1929 by A.K. Kellogg. The historic home features six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a movie theater and large swimming pool—sitting on over half an acre of land it’s the epitome of Old Hollywood glamour.

      The Osbourne’s three-story dwelling is an ode to the rich history of the Hancock Park neighborhood, which dates back 100 years. The Spanish Colonial Revival-style mansion was meticulously restored to ensure that its architecture remained intact.

      From the inside, it boasts the most essential conveniences of modern life, with a velvet-lined screening room and grand chef’s kitchen, yet it remains stately in appearance. Arched doorways and wood-paneled built-ins speak to the age of the property while luxe furnishings and crystal chandeliers are in line with the family’s dramatic flair.       The one-time reality stars are said to have acquired the LA manor in 2015 from film producer Oren Koules. They paid $11.85 million for the home and if the current asking price is met, the Osbourne estate would be amongst the priciest properties ever sold in Hancock Park. Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, set a record earlier this year when her three-story mansion, previously owned by Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, was purchased for $21 million. All of this leaves us wondering which prominent figure will be next to inhabit the Osbourne’s abode.

      Amy Schumer’s $15 Million NYC Penthouse Has an Insane 3,000 Square Feet of Outdoor Space

      Amy Schumer just listed her Upper West Side penthouse apartment—and it’s the furthest thing from a trainwreck.

      The 4,500-square-foot home in a prewar building features five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and is asking $15 million. A key-locked elevator opens directly into the full-floor space, and from there it only gets better.

      The huge living area is designed in a solarium style, with 11-foot glass walls stretching up into angled skylights. Those walls also fold open to allow access to the wraparound terrace, which offers stunning views of the Hudson River, the George Washington Bridge, and New York City writ large. A beautiful wrought-iron staircase leads up to a smaller terrace, too, where a gas line can be used to create an outdoor kitchen. In total, the outdoor space encompasses 3,000 square feet—no small feat in NYC.

      Schumer is married to the chef Chris Fischer, so, as you might expect, the indoor kitchen is quite magnificent. It includes a breakfast bar, a marble-topped island and counters, and a Sub-Zero fridge, freezer and wine fridge, among other amenities. Suffice it to say that any home cook would find it more than adequate for all their dinner-party needs.

      The bedrooms are located in a separate wing of the house, and the primary suite’s bathroom includes a six-foot soaking tub and radiant-heat floors. The other bedrooms all come with ensuite baths, and two of the rooms have direct access to the terrace.
      Schumer bought the home in 2016 for $12.15 million, and she called it her “Manhattan dream apartment” in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. A few years ago she redecorated the space with Clements Design, the interior-design firm that also worked with Jennifer Lawrence on her house.

      Emma Stone Just Listed Her Airy Midcentury Modern Home in Malibu for $4.3 Million

      It might not be right in La La Land, but the home Emma Stone just listed still has an enviable location.

      The 1,800-square-foot, midcentury-modern house in Malibu features three bedrooms and is situated on about 3.2 acres of land. It’s asking $4.295 million, not bad for an area where most homes go for more than $5 million.
      “It’s a classic 1958 California midcentury hanging over the Pacific,” listing agent Eric Lavey told The Wall Street Journal. “It’s the Malibu beach house they would choose for a Nancy Meyers movie.” How fitting, then, that it’s had an actual celebrity as a resident.

      Sitting atop a bluff, the one-story ranch house offers ocean views from most of the rooms, and a large brick patio looks out onto the coastline. The surrounding eucalyptus and yucca trees provide some much-needed shade from the California sun, and act as pops of lush greenery.
      Inside, white floors, ceilings and walls make the space feel extremely airy and light-filled. That continues even in the bathroom, with its white subway tiles and gold accents that add some sheen to the room.

      Stone bought the home for $3.25 million in 2018, and recently remodeled the eat-in kitchen. Although she’ll be leaving behind the beachside lifestyle, she’s been busy snapping up other properties. She also bought a Manhattan apartment for $3.56 million in 2018. Then, in 2019, she purchased an LA home for $2.3 million. Last year she became a homeowner in Austin, Texas.
      Lavey told the WSJ that he expects the Malibu ranch house to sell quickly, given its lower price point for the area. Unlike the Nancy Meyers movie, it’s not that complicated to see why it would appeal to prospective buyers.

      Mark Wahlberg’s Palatial Beverly Hills Estate Could Be Yours for $87.5 Million

      After spending less than a decade in his custom Beverly Hills compound, Marky Mark’s taking his good vibrations elsewhere.

      The rapper-turned-actor, officially known as Mark Wahlberg, recently listed his epic, château-style home for $87.5 million. It has an array of features that make the price tag worth it, too. Situated on more than 6 acres of land in the tony gated community of North Beverly Park, the 30,000-square-foot mansion boasts 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms. You’ll also find a movie theater, gym, wine cellar and two-story paneled library within.

      But the property’s real selling point might be all that’s located outside. The tennis court, basketball court and five-hole golf course would meet just about anyone’s recreational needs, while the private skate park is ideal for sporty kids or adventurous adults. The resort-like grotto pool, meanwhile, is the perfect place to host guests while enjoying the sunny Los Angeles weather.

      The estate was designed by Richard Landry, whom The New York Times has referred to as “the king of the megamansion.” Landry has worked with numerous other celebrities, including Tom Brady, Rod Stewart and Michael Bolton, and his designs have previously been recognized as some of Robb Report’s “Ultimate Homes.”
      Landry told the Times in 2015 that he and Wahlberg “had so much fun” collaborating on the actor’s abode.

      Wahlberg was born in Boston but his ties to LA are strong. He started out as a member of the hip-hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch before transitioning to acting in the mid-’90s. Since then, he’s been nominated for two Oscars, three Golden Globes, nine Primetime Emmys and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2010.
      The A-lister’s manse is being represented by Kurt Rappaport at the Westside Estate Agency. The brokerage has called the sale “a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire one of the great estates in Los Angeles.”
      Given the compound’s size, the buyer would have a lot of privacy to enjoy, but they’d also be in pretty good company: New neighbors would include the likes of Denzel Washington, Justin Bieber and Sofia Vergara.

      The Journey Home: Donna and Mark on moving to their forever home

      Even when you think you’re happily settled in your first house, your true forever home might still be out there. Donna and Mark discovered their forever home in their own neighbourhood – and in this blog we learn how, as soon as they stumbled across it, things moved quickly for them and their young family. permanent tsb have reached out to several real home buyers to get some real tips from them and hopefully help you in your home buying journey.

      Finding your permanent place
      “The moment I realised the house was for sale?” Donna recalls. “I was out walking the dog when I spotted it. I made the call immediately to the estate agent to get them to come, value our house and get it up straight away. And then onto the mortgage consultant, so we could start the process of getting the mortgage in place to buy it.”
       “Now we’ve got more space to work with.”
      Donna can immediately give a list of the things she loves about their new abode.
      “The ability for us to bring in all those things that we used to have to go outside the home to get,” she begins. “The gym, the music room, the office – which became essential. Even things like the utility room. So, just having that space. I constantly keep looking at the potential for other projects and more changes we can make to the house, to make it completely ours.”
      “They will just hold your hand throughout.”
      “We were already with permanent tsb so moving across the mortgage was very straightforward,” says Donna. “They helped us with all the paperwork, everything was explained… It all just fell into place. We also decided to move over all our current accounts so we had everything in the same place.
      “It was one of the parts of moving that really gave no hassle. So, the second time around, we looked at all the variables and went ‘this is what we want.’”

      Our Journey Home: Sarah and Jody found their perfect place with permanent tsb

      There’s a lot to take in when you’re a First Time Buyer. Along with trying to find the right house, you’re also trying to get your head around new financial terms and things like mortgage rates. So, you really want to focus on learning from people who’ve been there and already bought their dream home. That’s why permanent tsb have reached out to several real home buyers to get some real tips from them and hopefully help you in your home buying journey.

      Our first destination is the seaside village of Kilcoole, where new homeowners Sarah and Jody have fallen in love with the Wicklow way of living. In terms of getting their journey started, Sarah was the first to admit that she can be “easily overwhelmed” and was dreading all the “jargon”. Jody pointed out permanent tsb’s invaluable support in how they laid everything out and broke down each step.
      “Don’t take it all on at once. It needs to be done in phases.”
      In terms of sorting application paperwork, Sarah was surprised how manageable it was when she focused on the task at hand.
      Primary requirements for Sarah and Jody included a signed and stamped salary certificate, Employment Detail Summary (P60) and 2 of your last 3 payslips, and personal bank account statements for the past 6 months.       While Sarah initially thought a new build across the road from their old apartment in Dublin was her dream home, she was surprised how quickly that changed. Jody had gone to college in Wicklow and felt the countryside calling him back, so location became the couple’s first compromise.
      “You do need a bit of let-up to get to the right compromise.”
      While affordability played a role in that initial compromise, Sarah now maintains that happily settled into their Wicklow abode, they wouldn’t return to city life if they won the lottery. While Sarah was flexible on location, she was set on buying a new build, which is where their other non-negotiable came in handy…
      Get settled in with mortgage cashback
