    Josh Radnor Sells in L.A., Anthony Rapp Relists in Manhattan, and More Celebrity Deals

    Back in 2019, actor and musician Josh Radnor plunked down nearly $3 million for a 1920s Spanish-style villa in Los Angeles. He then embarked upon an extensive remodel, complete with “global, well-traveled” interiors crafted by designer Kishani Perera. An added bonus: The place was even blessed by Buddhist monks once everything was completed.
    Now, since he’s newly married to Brooklyn psychologist Jordana Jacobs, the How I Met Your Mother star has decided to offload his bachelor pad, asking $3.85 million. The “old, sturdy, and stylish” home, which was featured in Architectural Digest last spring, is listed by Fred Dapp of The Agency.
    Tucked away behind walls and gates on less than a quarter-acre of land within the desirable Oaks neighborhood of Los Feliz, the ivy-covered structure features nearly 3,600 square feet over two levels adorned throughout with vintage elements like a hand-stenciled coffered ceiling gracing the double-height entry foyer, plus arched doorways, colorful mosaic tile, and stained-glass windows.
    Especially standing out is a gourmet kitchen outfitted with teal-hued cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops, a hand-painted Mediterranean terracotta tile backsplash, and Wolf appliances. A step-down living room displays a stone fireplace and a wall of black-stained bookshelves, along with a custom brass Moroccan chandelier hanging from an etched wood-beam ceiling.

    Four bedrooms include an upstairs primary suite hosting a private balcony, a bespoke walk-in closet, and an updated bath equipped with a marble vanity and the original built-in soaking tub. Outdoors, there’s a central courtyard ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining, a “hidden hammock retreat,” and a reading porch.
    After a nine-season run as Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother, 49-year-old Radnor went on to play Dr. Jedediah Foster on the TV drama Mercy Street, Adam Epstein in the FX mini-series Fleishman Is in Trouble, and Lonny Flash on the mystery-crime show Hunters. He’s also done some theater work and released several studio albums.

    Anthony Rapp Puts a Reduced Price on His Manhattan Apartment

    It hasn’t yet taken 525,600 minutes for Anthony Rapp to sell his New York City condo, but it’s evidently been long enough for the Rent star to consider a newly reduced price for his Manhattan digs. Nine months after the East Village loft hit the market for nearly $3.9 million, the Obie-winning actor’s residence has popped up for sale again, this time with a reduced $3.65 million asking price—around $200,000 less than he originally wanted last October. The listing is held by Kristi Ambrosetti of Sotheby’s International Realty-East Side Manhattan Brokerage.
    Rapp and his longtime partner and now-husband Ken Ithiphol acquired the three-bedroom, three-bath corner unit in the luxury boutique building at 32 East 1st Street for around $3.5 million in October 2021. The couple, who welcomed their first child last December, are reportedly on the hunt for a bigger, more family-friendly home.

    Clocking in at about 1,500 square feet, the condo has white oak floors, high ceilings, modern millwork, triple-pane picture windows, and a Sonos sound system. A combined living/dining area is filled with light, while the galley-style kitchen boasts brushed oak Italian cabinetry, marble countertops, and high-end appliances. The primary suite offers a custom Molteni closet and a stone-clad bath, and another bedroom with a walnut Murphy bed/bookcase currently serves as an office.

    Back in fall 2020, Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden paid $14.6 million for a sprawling Beverly Hills compound. Now, almost four years later, the retired actress and Good Charlotte rocker have flipped the place back up for sale with a $3.1 million jump in price, asking for $17.8 million.
    Designed by ANR Signature Collection, the property includes a main home and a guesthouse—for a total of seven bedrooms and nine baths in a little more than 9,600 square feet of living space. A secured driveway passes through a gatehouse on its way to a motorcourt and a three-car garage.
    Once inside the primary gray stucco and metal-roof structure, highlights include formal living and dining rooms, a marble-laden kitchen sporting an eat-in island and top-tier appliances, a double-height family room warmed by a fireplace, and a primary suite with dual walk-in closets and baths.
    The amenities continue with a screening room and a bookshelf-lined office, as well as garden-laced grounds hosting a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen, and a waterfall-fed pool and spa.
    Diaz and Madden also own a $12.6 million mansion in Montecito, along with a Coldwater Canyon estate that previously belonged to actress Candice Bergen and a condo in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood.

    Jonah Hill Is Asking $16.7 Million for His Malibu Beach House

    After selling his contemporary home on the “land side” of Malibu Colony to cannabis investor Hartley Wasko for just over $11 million back in late 2022, the Oscar-nominated actor now wants to hand over the keys to his “beach side” residence in the same exclusive guard-gated enclave for $16.7 million.
    Purchased by the Moneyball star for nearly $15.5 million in summer 2022—and resided in for decades before that by Canadian filmmaker Paul Almond and his photographer wife Joan Almond, both now deceased—the three-level home sits on a compact 0.16-acre parcel that hosts a two-car garage and a gated entry in the front and a brick patio and an adjoining wood deck with steps leading directly to the sand out back.
    Built in the 1930s and updated through the years, the dark green, wood-shingled structure has four bedrooms and an equal number of baths in 3,100 square feet of living space featuring a fireside living room boasting a vaulted wood-beam ceiling and wide arched doorways flowing to a formal dining room and a family room.
    Elsewhere is a kitchen outfitted with hand-selected tile and newer stainless appliances, a primary suite that has an ocean-view balcony, a cozy den with a Dutch door, an office space, and a movie theater.
    As an aside, Hill’s former “land side” home is now back on the market for $14.2 million.

    Bella Poarch’s Midcentury House Is Up for Grabs in L.A.

    A little over a year ago, Bella Poarch won a bidding war for a Pacific Palisades oasis, with the TikTok superstar paying $4.3 million, or $400,000 over the asking price, for the “one-of-a-kind” midcentury property.⁠ But that was then! The place has already returned to the market, this time asking a smidge under $5 million.

    Mae West’s Former L.A. Hideaway Can Be Yours for $6 Million

    Always wanted to live like a Golden-Age celebrity—specifically, a legendary actress and sex symbol largely remembered for her bawdy one-liners? “When I’m good, I’m very good, but when I’m bad, I’m better,” just for starters. Well, now’s your chance because this Los Angeles beach house that the late Mae West once called home just popped up for sale in Santa Monica‘s Rustic Canyon neighborhood, asking a wink under $6 million.

    Over the years, married entertainment industry veterans Dick Ebersol and Susan Saint James have racked up some pretty impressive accomplishments. He’s a broadcasting legend best known for co-creating Saturday Night Live with Lorne Michaels, as well as developing the concept for Sunday Night Football and producing numerous Olympic Games as head of NBC Sports, while she’s a retired actress who starred in shows like McMillan & Wife alongside Rock Hudson.

    One of L.A.’s ‘Most Interesting’ Estates Lists for $15 Million

    Around 14 years ago, Moby doled out just over $3.9 million for a “replica of a Norman castle” that was reportedly occupied in previous years by the likes of Debbie Reynolds, Marlon Brando, and The Beatles. Alas, the Los Angeles spread proved too “elaborate for one simple little guy,” so the musician and architecture aficianado wound up selling the fairytale-esque digs after four years and an extensive restoration at a hefty profit. Now, a decade later, the illustrious structure has once again popped up for sale in the Beachwood Canyon neighborhood of Hollywood Hills, this time with a $15 million asking price.

    “I loved Wolf’s Lair,” Moby said of the place he called “the most interesting home in L.A.” at the time. “If I’d started a cult or a family (and trust me, I’ve tried to start both) it would have been the perfect home. Basically I wanted something simpler than a mountaintop castle.”

    Back in 1997, Helene An and her husband Danny bought a French chateau-style mansion tucked away in the Coldwater Canyon area of Beverly Hills. The Vietnamese-born couple—he a former Air Force pilot from a prominent industrialist family, and she a Smithsonian-recognized master chef who owns the Crustacean and AnQi Bistro dining dynasty known as House of An—subsequently transferred the property to their daughter, House of An CEO Elizabeth An. Now the family’s longtime residence is available for the first time in over two decades, asking a speck over $5.6 million.

    Vladimir Tarasenko Snags Miami Condo, Chris Paul Lists in L.A., and More Sports Celebrity Deals

    It’s not opening for at least another three years, but JDS Development’s mixed-use residential tower in Miami’s trendy Brickell neighborhood has already snagged a cool new resident. According to the real estate and media firm SERHANT, 32-year-old Florida Panthers hockey star Vladimir Tarasenko has officially skated into Mercedes-Benz Places, adding to a property portfolio that also includes a brand-new $5 million waterfront spread in Fort Lauderdale.
    The recently crowned Stanley Cup champ has purchased one of the 67-story property’s single-bedroom condos, which are filtered across all levels of the building and start at a puck slide under $1.2 million.
    Per marketing materials, open-concept floor plans for those particular units range from 725 square feet to 883 square feet and feature luxe Woods Bagot-designed living space adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows and terraces framing picturesque Biscayne Bay and Atlantic Ocean vistas.
    Additional highlights include private elevator lobbies and spacious great rooms holding combined living and dining areas, which are nestled alongside bespoke kitchens outfitted with black stone countertops and high-end Miele appliances. Grand primary suites also come complete with spa-inspired baths boasting marble vanities and rain showers.

    Caroline Wozniacki, David Lee Get $37 Million for Their Fisher Island Penthouse

    It’s been barely three years since Caroline Wozniacki and David Lee picked up a Florida penthouse on ultra-exclusive Fisher Island, off the coast of Miami Beach. Now the Danish tennis pro and her former NBA All-Star husband have sold the lofty residence for $37 million—substantially less than the initial $42.5 million ask in January, but still a whopping $18.3 million more than they paid in 2021.
    Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman served as the listing agent and Don Pingaro of Official repped the buyer, which is a Delaware-registered LLC linked to Sandcastle Isle, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
    Occupying the top floor of the Mediterranean-inspired Palazzo Del Sol—a 10-story waterfront luxury condo tower designed by local architect Kobi Karp and completed in 2016—the five-bedroom, six-bath duplex offers 7,000 square feet of revamped living space laced with white oak herringbone floors. Vast walls of glass and 5,000 feet of terrace space also provide sweeping bay and ocean views.

    In addition to an open-concept great room holding a salon, a bar, a TV room, and a formal dining area, there’s also a sleek kitchen sporting an eat-in marble island and top-tier Gaggenau appliances, as well as a wine wall and a screening room flaunting a Bang & Olufsen sound system.     Former Seattle Seahawks Owner’s Bay Area Estate Is Headed to Auction

    Back in the mid-1980s, developer and onetime Seattle Seahawks owner Ken Behring commissioned architect Doug Dahlin to create a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home for him and his wife Pat in the Oakland suburb of Danville, within the elite gated Blackhawk Country Club community.
    After first hitting the market last summer for just under $25 million, the place long belonging to the now-deceased couple is now going under the gavel with Concierge Auctions. No-reserve bids are expected to start at between $7 million and $11 million.
    Completed in 1988 and known as the Behring Estate, the gated hilltop spread has a total of seven bedrooms and 14 baths spread across nearly 27,000 square feet of Steve Chase-designed living space enhanced with Brazilian teak ceilings, quartz and flagstone finishes, and walls of glass framing mountain vistas.

    Posh creature comforts encompass a plush movie theater and a temperature-controlled wine room and tasting area featured in Wine Spectator magazine. Not to mention a 7,000-square-foot ballroom with a nightclub-style bar, an auto showroom, and crystal chandeliers dangling from a mirrored black ceiling.
    Other standout features include a waterfall-clad entry foyer, a formal living area, a spacious dining room, and a gourmet kitchen and secondary prep kitchen.     NBA Star Chris Paul’s L.A. Home Bounces on the Market for $16.5 Million

    After almost four years of ownership, Chris Paul (affectionately known as “CP3”) is moving on from his Los Angeles estate. The nearly 1.4-acre spread, tucked away in the heart of Encino, is back on the market for a smidge under $16.5 million.
    The 12-time NBA All-Star—who played for the Golden State Warriors in the 2023–24 season and could soon be a free agent—acquired the modern farmhouse-style home for roughly $11 million back in spring 2020, shortly after it was newly built.

    A pair of completely different properties long owned by the family of late collector Norman R. Blank are simultaneously up for sale. Consisting of two side-by-side residences resting in the Southern California city of Pasadena, the asking price for the entire compound is $9 million. The two homes are also listed separately as a “significant architectural restoration opportunity” by George Penner of Compass for $5.5 million and $3.5 million, respectively.

    Tucked behind a lengthy gated driveway, the contrasting dwellings were acquired in two separate deals by Blank and his wife Jacqueline, both of whom have since passed away. The couple purchased a French Norman-style residence at 243 N. San Rafael Drive some five decades ago for an undetermined amount and subsequently picked up the midcentury next door at 241 N. San Rafael Drive in the early 1990s for $901,000. Together, the two-parcel spread encompasses nearly 3 acres of land.

    Containing a little more than 10,700 square feet of living space with nine bedrooms and 10 baths, the three-story structure (above) was built and designed in 1930 by noted architects Marston & Maybury and still retains most of its original period details. Walled and gated, the striking castle-like abode is highlighted by a handsome wood-paneled living room centered around an artisan fireplace, a formal dining room, and a commercial-sized kitchen with an accompanying breakfast room.

    Elsewhere is a primary suite flaunting a separate fireside seating area and a tiled bath that looks completely untouched. Other amenities include a solarium, a study, a library, a wine cellar, a workshop, and recreation and safe rooms, with the woodsy, 2-plus-acre grounds atop a promontory overlooking Annandale Golf Club hosting several terraces, an expansive great lawn for entertaining, and a swimmer’s pool. There’s also a four-story turret, a fountain-clad motorcourt, and an attached three-car garage topped by a chauffeur’s residence.

    As for the smaller of the two houses (above), it’s perched amid a 0.68-acre parcel. Commissioned by Chandler School founders Thomas and Catherine Chandler and designed by architect Henry Eggers, the late 1960s structure features five bedrooms and six baths filtered across a little more than 5,560 square feet of two-level living space offering “Hollywood Regency cues.”

    A sky-lit foyer with a curving staircase greets and leads to living and dining areas, plus an eat-in kitchen, on the main floor, while prominent upstairs features include a wraparound balcony and a primary suite decked out with a dressing room, closets, and a bath. An octagon-shaped terrace, a workshop, a two-car garage, and an additional carport for one vehicle can also be found on the premises.

    Norman R. Blank was probably most known for his assemblage of museum-quality antique firearms crafted by the likes of Nicolas-Noël Boutet, Gastinne Renette, Durs Egg, Henry Nock, and Joseph and John Manton. He also was recognized for his extensive classic Ferrari and silver collections.

    A Beauty Mogul Swaps His Newport Beach Mansion for a Los Angeles Pied-à-Terre

    After seeking a Los Angeles pied-à-terre to replace their Newport Beach mansion, celebrity hair stylist-turned-haircare pioneer Jim Markham and his wife Cheryl have settled on a snazzy condo in a full-service building that comes complete with the prerequisite house car and personal driver they desired to whisk them around the city.

    The longtime Orange County couple—who are in the midst of selling their home in Orange County’s affluent guard-gated Big Canyon community—paid $6.2 million for the ritzy residence, which rests on the 14th floor of the Beverly West building, a luxe 22-story boutique condo tower nestled along the Wilshire Corridor that sports 35 units overlooking the Los Angeles Country Club and has been occupied by notable celebs like The Weeknd.

    The seller was building developer Emaar Properties (of Burj Kkalifa fame). Originally listed for a speck under $7 million earlier this year, the posh pad ultimately went to the Markhams at a discount. Both sides of the deal were handled by exclusive Beverly West listing agents Amir Ensani, Tomer Fridman, and Sally Forster Jones of Compass.

    The fully furnished condo has a private vestibule that opens to a great room sporting a living area, a dining room, and a kitchen.

    Throughout his lengthy career, 80-year-old Markham has founded five successful haircare companies, including PureOlogy Serious Color Care and ColorProof Color Care Authority. He got his start working with hairstylist-to-the-stars Jay Sebring, who was murdered in 1969 by Manson Family members at actress Sharon Tate’s L.A. home. He went on to acquire Sebring’s business and pen the book Big Lucky: Serial Entrepreneur Jim Markham’s Secret Formula for Success.

    The couple’s newly rebuilt Newport Beach home, coming to the market soon with Rex McKown of Compass, has 5,866 square feet of living space on a secluded peninsula parcel spanning one-third acres. Back in summer 2021, the Markhams sold an ocean-view estate in Orange County’s Crystal Cove community to Niagara Bottling owner and CEO Andy Peykoff for nearly $16.5 million, or around $7.2 million more than they paid for the place in 2007.
