This $11 Million Vintage Bel Air Home Comes With an Impressive Hollywood Pedigree

Mia Farrow, 78, is best known for her role in the 1968 horror film “Rosemary’s Baby” and as Woody Allen’s former paramour. She did not, however, spring from nowhere to inhabit such rarefied showbiz circles. She was, in fact, born into it, her parents being showbiz legends in their own time. Her father, John Farrow, was an Oscar-winning film director from Australia, and her mother, Irish-born actress Maureen O’Sullivan, is most often remembered as Jane Parker in six “Tarzan” films between 1932 and 1942.

In the mid-1930s, nearly a decade before Mia was born, Farrow and O’Sullivan hired architect Arlos R. Sedgley to design them a Monterey Colonial-style home along Chalon Road, one of the best streets in Bel Air. Called Greystoke Cottage, a designation signified on a plaque over the front door, the house sits on more than half an acre of naturalistic grounds.

The dining room is enlivened with yellow floral curtains and an antique chandelier.

    Anthony Barcelo

Tax records show the house was later owned by film and television composer Bruce Broughton, who sold it to the current owner in 2018 for almost $5.7 million. Now, after being renovated and worked over with interiors by designer John Cottrell, the historic home is back on the market for $10.9 million.

In addition to a 29-foot-long living room and a separate dining room, highlights of the home’s main floor include a wood-paneled office/library, a spacious eat-in kitchen with a fireside lounge, and a media room that showcases a chevron-patterned vaulted wood ceiling and a trio of floor-to-ceiling French doors that open to a wrought-iron railed Juliet balcony.

The gardens of Greystoke Cottage offer a private idyll in the heart of Bel Air.

    Anthony Barcelo

Floor plans for the two-story home indicate there are four bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus a couple of powder rooms. The main-floor primary suite offers a fireplace, a roomy bath, a couple of walk-in closets, and a wraparound veranda. Another covered veranda outside the kitchen, dining room, and office/library has steps that lead down to a lower terrace for alfresco dining and lounging.

Flagstone paths and stairways wind through the estate’s densely planted gardens below the back of the house. They lead to the swimming pool, along with several secluded patios hidden among the dense foliage and mature trees in a landscape by Tichenor & Thorpe Architects.

The Tinseltown-pedigreed property is available via Jeffrey Hobgood and Allen Roth, both with Sotheby’s International Realty.

Cher Once Owned This Waterfront Miami Manse. Now It Can Be Yours for $42.5 Million.

Here we go again. Another one of Cher’s trophy homes has splashed onto the market.

The singer-actress has racked up quite the real estate portfolio over the years, and now a Miami mansion that the pop legend owned in the 1990s is up for grabs. The Moorish-meets-Spanish-style estate is located on Florida’s uber-exclusive La Gorce Island, an upscale, guard-gated community with only 29 other waterfront residences.

Per The Wall Street Journal, the sellers are James Eaton, president of a Canadian private holding company, and his wife, Cecily Eaton. The couple coughed up a cool $17 million for the 12,450-square-foot spread back in 2020, a heck of a lot more than the $1.5 million Cher paid in 1993.

The Eatons spent much of the last three years renovating the place, including raising some of the ceilings and turning a covered terrace into a brand-new dining room and sitting area. Altogether, the sprawling abode comprises six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and, most importantly, 158 feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay. The views are epic, and boaters will appreciate that they can park their yacht in the backyard.

Even though the “Strong Enough” singer parted ways with the sumptuous spread some 30 years ago, it sports a ton of opulent features that the so-called Goddess of Pop would no doubt approve of. For starters, the double-height foyer makes a lasting first impression with soaring 19-foot ceilings and grand dual staircases. Elsewhere, the chef’s kitchen is kitted out with gold-toned finishes, and the primary suite is complete with a marble-clad en suite bath and a private terrace. In true Queen of Camp fashion, there’s also an Art Deco-style bar area that’s wrapped in abstract patterned custom wallpaper.

The many deluxe amenities help to explain the hefty price tag, with a few of the most compelling perks including a top-floor fitness studio, a 50-foot-long swimming pool, and a Palm Beach-inspired pool house. If Cher could actually turn back time, she might’ve kept this swanky sanctuary all to herself.

Tim Hardaway Jr.’s Former Miami Mega-Mansion Hits the Market for $9.1 Million

South Florida has always been a sunny haven for professional athletes, and at one time, Dallas Mavericks star Tim Hardaway Jr. called Miami Beach home. Now the shooting guard’s former mansion is up for grabs.

Listed for a cool $9.1 million, the custom-built estate is located in the guard-gated Normandy Isle neighborhood. Spanning a whopping 5,400 square feet, the South Shore Drive residence has five bedrooms, five and a half baths, and an impressive 60 feet of water frontage. The digs are a boating lover’s delight with a dock and lift directly in the backyard. Plus, petrolheads can park their prized autos in the two-car garage out front.

The NBA player sold the palatial pad back in October 2021. At the time, he offloaded the mase to its new owners for $6.75 million. “They wanted something waterfront, but such inventory in Miami Beach is scarce, so we looked at Normandy Isles, an adjacent and well-established area,” Compass’s Ignacio Villanueva, who represented the sellers, told Mansion Global. “And they loved the modern look of the house, boasting high ceilings, lots of lights, and a roof deck with beautiful views.”

The South Florida residence was formerly owned by Dallas Mavericks star Tim Hardaway Jr.

Inside, the boxy retreat is decked out with design-forward details including oak millwork, tray ceilings, and glossy marble floors. The vibe is super sleek and contemporary—but it really is all about those views. Walls of windows on the first floor face the pool and patio, while upstairs, an expansive primary suite looks right out onto the water. The space is also equipped with an office, a huge walk-in closet, a marble bath, and its own private terrace. Elsewhere, the abode is kitted out with a movie theater, and the open kitchen sports swanky Dornbracht fixtures.

The primary bedroom is located on the second floor and faces the water

If you travel all the way up to the top, there’s a dramatic roof deck that’s perfect for alfresco entertaining. Here, you’ll find a dining area, a small outdoor kitchen with a grill, and perhaps best of all, a hot tub. We imagine this would be the ideal spot to soak up the sunset.

Bob Dylan’s Historic Scottish Mansion Just Hit the Market for $4 Million

It’s the end of the line for Bob Dylan and his long-time Scottish estate.

After recently putting his 16-bedroom mansion near Nethy Bridge up for sale, you could say the singer-songwriter’s heart is no longer in the Highlands. According to The Times, Dylan scooped up Aultmore House nearly two decades ago in 2006 alongside his brother. At the time, they paid £2.26 million for the spread. Now, the 82-year-old rocker has hoisted the Edwardian abode on the market for a cool £3 million (or roughly $3.9 million).

“They bought it as a base,” Knight Frank agent Tom Stewart-Moore told the Scottish Daily Express. “They’ve not been able to use it in recent years, and that’s the reason for the sale. Up until about pre-Covid times, Bob and his brother would normally go there for a few weeks a year.”

Bob Dylan’s home in the Scottish Highlands just listed for $3.9 million

    Knight Frank

Located within Cairngorm National Park, the property spans a whopping 24 acres surrounded by lush forests. The 18,357-square-foot main residence, which was originally built between 1911 and 1915, underwent a complete restoration in 2000. Since then, Dylan and his brother have continued to improve upon the pad including making updates to the heating and hot water systems. There are also three fully renovated cottages on-site.

Inside the main house, the Grade A–listed structure still sports a ton of period details. Think marble fireplaces in most of the reception rooms, intricate plasterwork on the ceilings and archways, along with timber flooring throughout. Past the entrance hall, you’ll find a billiard room, a drawing room, and a formal dining area. Also on the ground floor are two kitchens, an office, and a sitting room.

The country house certainly plays the part of a tranquil oasis from the outside, too. Take a stroll around the grounds of the stately manse and you’ll stumble upon two gazebos, a central fountain, a walled garden, and a picturesque pond. Of course, there are plenty of activities to go along with the striking views including a croquet lawn and paddocks. If you’re interested, come knocking on Dylan’s door.

Rock Ross Just Bought Meek Mill’s Atlanta Mansion for $4.2 Million in Cash

After two years on the market, Meek Mill finally found a buyer for his Atlanta mansion, and it’s none other than fellow Maybach Music member and real estate mogul Rick Ross.

Rozay splashed out a cool $4.2 million in cash for the Buckhead estate, TMZ reported. However, Meek shared on his Instagram story that he didn’t know the Teflon Don was the new owner. In an effort to speed up the sale, the “Dreams & Nightmares” rapper posted a video of the house on social media back in March, mentioning that he’s only had it for a few years and never actually moved in. It’s possible he was taking a page from Ross’s playbook and just wanted a residence to ride by every day.

I sold that house that quick …. It was forsale for like 2 years… i knew it would soon as I posted too!— MeekMill (@MeekMill) April 10, 2023

Naturally, the eight-bedroom, nine-bathroom spread comes with a bevy of amenities. Think a tennis court, a movie theater, a sauna, and a swimming pool. There’s also a Jacuzzi, a playground, and twin garages. ATL broker Alisha Gillooly, who represented Ross, told TMZ that she’s “been working to make an impact in the luxury market, and this did just that.”

This isn’t the first time Ross has scooped up a property with celeb pedigree. The hip-hop artist doled out $3.5 million in all cash for Amar’e Stoudemire’s gated estate in Florida, setting a record for the fast-closing deal in Southwest Ranches. He also famously bought boxer Evander Holyfield’s 109-room mega-manse in Georgia, which he renamed “the Promise Land.”

The palatial compound in Fayetteville sits on an epic 235 acres and measures a whopping 45,000 square feet. Inside, there are 12 lavish bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, a 135-person movie theatre, and a recording studio. Plus, the sprawling grounds hold a 350,000-gallon swimming pool, as well as a herd of buffalo. The digs are so impressive, they even had a starring role in Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America. Nothing but the best for Da Boss. More

Inside the Roy Kids’ $83 Million L.A. Mega Manse That Starred in the ‘Succession’ Season 4 Premiere

In the season four premiere of Succession on Sunday night, Shiv (Sarah Snook), Kendall (Jeremy Strong), and Roman (Kieran Culkin) were busy plotting their new media start-up, The Hundred. However, more interesting than the bespoke information hub, described as “Substack meets Masterclass meets The Economist meets The New Yorker,” was the swanky Los Angeles mega-mansion they were holed up in.

We all know the Roys have no shortage of luxury properties under their belt, and it turns out, the real star of this season’s opener was a hilltop behemoth known as the San Onofre estate. (Although, it’s not clear who on the show it actually belongs to.) Originally built by celebrity developer Ardie Tavangarian, the Pacific Palisades manse was sold to a 26-year-old crypto billionaire for a whopping $83 million in 2021 following a short stint on the rental market. At the time, the transaction broke two residential sales records for the area.

    [embedded content]

Perched high up on a one-acre promontory, the modernist abode offers views of the Santa Monica Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, and Downtown LA. The exterior is characterized by a dramatic, curved wall that resembles the sail of a ship. According to Architectural Digest, it was made from board-formed concrete to look like natural wood. Altogether, the 20,000-square-foot spread features six bedrooms and a staggering 18 bathrooms. However, in “The Munsters,” the trio was predominantly seen in the living room and out by the pool.

In an aerial shot of the residence, we see Kendall venture up the private driveway which leads to a car gallery. Naturally, the amenities are extravagant as the abode itself. There’s a chef’s kitchen that was custom designed by Nobu, a sprawling 20-person movie theater, an outdoor cinema, and multiple pools. Plus, a jacuzzi is positioned on the roof deck. The pièce de résistance is the primary suite, which can only be accessed via a retinal scanner. Inside, there’s a crazy retractable ceiling that can remain open for stargazing. We wonder which one of the sibs called dibs on that.   More

Designer Sue Wong’s $10.5 Million Mansion Is Like a Moroccan Palace in the Heart of LA

Renowned fashion designer Sue Wong has dressed everyone from Anne Hathaway to Jessica Biel in her glittering gowns. So when it came to styling her Los Angeles mansion, she did it in a way that stayed true to the glamorous aesthetic her label is known for.

Looking to Morocco for inspiration, Wong spent the past two years creating her own North African-themed retreat in Los Feliz, and now she’s put that property on the market, The New York Post first reported. Listed for a cool $10.4 million, the 10,300-square-foot estate has undergone a major, $3 million facelift courtesy of Wong. Whatever furnishings and décor she couldn’t source from overseas, she crafted herself with the help of local Moroccan artisans. All of these are included in the sale, by the way.

Fashion designer Sue Wong has listed her Moroccan-themed LA mansion for $10.4 million

    Brian Kaplan

The six-bed, seven-bath home is dripping with traditional Moorish flair. Think soaring archways in the foyer, hand-painted ceilings in the living room and ornate chandeliers throughout. Even the sinks and countertops were made abroad. The motif continues out front with bronze doors surrounded by soaring 20-foot walls made from imported tile, making you feel as if you’re about to enter a royal palace. At the center is a lush inner courtyard, decked out with a black obsidian pool, covered terrace, bar, an arbor and grilling area.

Most of the furnishings and decor have been sourced from North Africa and are all included in the sale

    Brian Kaplan

Internally, the media room is disguised as a library and a swanky, two-story entertaining lounge the size of a nightclub is equipped with a central bar and space for hundreds of guests, Ernie Carswell of Douglas Elliman, who holds the listing with Kendra Wilkinson and Spencer Daley, told the Post. Elsewhere, a grand dining room overlooks the sparkling pool. The primary suite is just as impressive, comprising its own sitting room, en suite bath and dressing room—all of which have been intricately decorated with crimson and gold trim.
