Luka Doncic Bought Maria Sharapova’s $25 Million Manhattan Beach Home

Maria Sharapova’s serene Manhattan Beach retreat has found a new owner in one of the NBA’s brightest stars. Luka Dončić has snapped up the five-time Grand Slam champion’s custom-built contemporary residence in an off-market deal valued at $25 million—setting a new record as the priciest home sale in the coastal city’s history.

Sharapova, who originally acquired the lot in 2012 for $4.1 million, tapped KAA Design to create the 8,600-square-foot showpiece, dubbed the Sanctuary, blending Japanese and Scandinavian influences with breezy California modernism. Think concrete walls, black metal framing around the windows, and expansive walls of glass that dissolve the barrier between indoors and outside. (The L.A.-based firm is also behind Drake’s Beverly Hills estate, one of three trophy estates in the Canadian rapper’s $97 million real estate portfolio.)

Completed in 2015, the five-bedroom, eight-bath abode sits on about a quarter-acre in the coveted Hill Section of Manhattan Beach, and it comes loaded with lifestyle amenities, from a two-lane bowling alley in the basement to a resort-style swimming pool, multiple balconies, and an outdoor lounge and dining pavilion perfect for hosting A-list friends.

The sale closed in late August, according to public records, with a trust tied to Dončić’s business manager, Lara Beth Seager, listed as the buyer. Carolwood Estates’ Susân Perryman reportedly held the listing, though the property never hit the open market.

At $25 million, Dončić’s purchase narrowly tops last year’s $24.5 million trade of an oceanfront home on The Strand, pushing his new home into record-breaking territory. Properties along The Strand have historically dominated price records in Manhattan Beach, but Dončić’s acquisition proves the Hill Section can now command top dollar.

Amenities include a resort-style pool, a bowling alley, and an outdoor lounge and dining pavilion.

For Sharapova, who shares a young son with fiancé Alexander Gilkes, the sale marks the end of her decade-long connection to the property as the couple shifts their time increasingly to Europe. Still, just last year the 38-year-old retired tennis star scooped up an $11.5 million estate in Montecito, right next door to Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. The rustic yet refined five-bedroom residence, formerly owned by Chicago philanthropist Ann Lurie, was designed by Lockwood de Forest Jr. in 1949. She also maintains a $9 million ranch property in nearby Summerland.

Dončić, meanwhile, is planting new roots in Los Angeles. After being traded from the Dallas Mavericks to the Lakers earlier this year, former sharpshooter Chandler Parsons allegedly claimed Dončić had just closed on a $15 million home in the Big D—an awkwardly timed deal given the superstar’s imminent move west. Now, with a fresh three-year, $165 million extension and a record-setting $25 million Manhattan Beach estate in his portfolio, it seems clear the 26-year-old intends to make L.A. home both on and off the court.

Former NBA Star Tony Parker’s $16.5 Million Texas Mansion Includes a Waterpark With 8 Pools

After first listing his Texas Hill Country home in late 2021 for $19.5 million, retired NBA star Tony Parker is officially doubling down on efforts to sell the sprawling property he’s owned for around two decades, this time with a new real estate agent and a marketing plan featuring a popular internet personality.

The six-time All-Star and former San Antonio Spurs point guard—he currently spends most of his time across the pond, where he’s the majority owner and president of the French pro basketball team LDLC ASVEL—has just put his Mediterranean-style residence tucked away in the suburban community of Boerne, some 25 miles northwest of San Antonio, back on the market after a brief absence for $16.5 million.

The main home has six bedrooms, five full baths, and four half-baths in about 13,300 square feet.

The listing is now held by Erwin Nicholas II of Houston-based Mr. Real Estate, and he’s brought Twitch entertainer Kai Cenat and his AMP (Any Means Possible) crew on board to help advertise the extravagant 53-acre spread to their millions of viewers during the month of July. The 30-day live streamathon features a pop-up Nando’s peri-peri restaurant, plus a look at more permanent perks like a nearly 6,000-square-foot gym with a half-court basketball setup and an arcade, a wet bar-equipped movie theater, a barber studio, dual offices, a 1,500-bottle wine cellar, a fingerprint-access trophy room, and an over-the-top waterpark.

“This isn’t just a home—it’s a legacy,” Nicholas told Robb Report. “Tony Parker’s estate blends world-class amenities with a sense of wonder no other property in Texas can offer. From the tallest private water slides to the largest residential waterpark in the country, we’ve created a cultural moment that merges luxury real estate with generational storytelling.

“Live streaming has proven to be a powerful emerging market that delivers unprecedented viewership while bringing families together in real time,” he added. “It’s the best global open house you can have—and this estate is the perfect stage.”

A half-court basketball setup is lined with a collection of life-sized Marvel and DC characters.

    Leonardo Lopes

Custom-built on a multi-lot parcel the NBA Hall of Famer purchased in 2005, the 53-acre compound within the exclusive Anaqua Springs Ranch community was completed in 2009 while he was still married to actress Eva Longoria. Securely hidden away behind double gates with a guardhouse and a Jurassic Park-themed rear entrance, the residence includes a main mansion, a separate guesthouse, and a detached gym—for a combined total of 10 bedrooms and 12 baths spread across roughly 21,200 square feet.

Inside the primary dwelling, a sweeping wrought iron-railed staircase and an elevator flow to bi-level living space anchored by a double-height living room sporting a stone fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows. From there, a formal dining room seats 16 and a vaulted family room connects to a light gray-hued kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island and top-notch stainless appliances, while an opulent primary suite sports a lounge, a massive walk-in closet, and a marble and travertine bath.

The waterpark was created by one of the original builders of the waterpark at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.

    Leonardo Lopes

Rounding it all out are the resort-inspired grounds, which host tennis and sand volleyball courts, a full outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, a greenhouse, an herb garden, a fruit orchard, and even a tortoise habitat. There’s also the professionally crafted waterpark, which includes eight pools, a mountain, grottos, several slides, a 35-foot-high jumping ledge, a trio of hot tubs, water cannons, and a lazy river.

The Spurs legend and four-time NBA champion earned almost $170 million over his 18-year career before retiring in 2019 after a final season with the Charlotte Hornets. In addition to his Texas estate, the 43-year-old Belgium native also maintains a historic chateau in France’s southern Rhône Valley, where he operates a vineyard.

Former Celtics Co-Owner Jim Pallotta Lists His Sprawling Massachusetts Estate for $38 Million

When you’ve spent nearly two decades building the perfect family sanctuary—one that doubles as the private playground for a former NBA team co-owner—it’s not easy to say goodbye.

But that’s exactly what Jim Pallotta and his wife, Kim, are doing. Their nearly 20-acre estate and its sprawling 21,000-square-foot mansion in Weston, Massachusetts, a masterpiece of modern grandeur with a dash of English country charm, just hit the market for a whopping $38 million with Mark Doherty of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman and Maggie Gold Seelig of MGS Group Real Estate.

Jim, a co-owner and executive board member of the Boston Celtics from 2002 to 2020, and Kim have called their Ash Street spread home since 2006. But now that their two sons have flown the coop, the couple admits the custom-built abode is simply “too big” for just the two of them, they told The Wall Street Journal. Their plan? To live a tri-coastal lifestyle, splitting time between their other homes in Nantucket, Miami, and Charleston, South Carolina.

RELATED: Red Sox Legend David Ortiz’s Former Miami Mansion Lists for $11.5 Million

The home pairs high ceilings, wide-plank wood floorboards, and intricate moldings with bright, sunlit interiors.

The Pallottas’ compound is a rare gem in this prestigious Boston suburb. Designed by Connecticut’s Shope Reno Wharton to evoke an English country estate, the home blends classic architectural details with a ton of modern amenities. Think soaring ceilings, intricate moldings, and sun-drenched rooms.

At the heart of the main floor is a chef’s dream kitchen featuring two large islands, a pizza oven, and a cozy fireplace. The expansive layout also includes multiple formal and informal entertaining spaces, two offices, a guest suite, and a screened porch with a fireplace and built-in grill.

Upstairs, the palatial primary suite is a retreat within a retreat, sporting dual dressing rooms, a spa-like bathroom, a private sitting area, and an upstairs office. Four additional bedroom suites and a second-floor family room provide plenty of space for guests and kids coming home to visit. Meanwhile, the walk-out lower level is a bona fide entertainment hub, complete with a theater, gym, billiards room, gaming lounge, bar, and wine cellar.

Outside, the resort-style grounds reveal why this estate is truly one of a kind. A sparkling pool with a pool house (full kitchen and bath included), a basketball court, and an oversized four-car garage complete the picture. But perhaps the most delightfully unique feature is the room dedicated to Kim’s extensive collection of antique Santa Claus figurines—an homage to holiday cheer that transforms the house into a winter wonderland each year, The Journal reported.

While the $38 million price tag narrows the field of potential buyers, this estate is poised to set a new record as the most expensive home ever sold in Weston.

You Can Rent Carmelo Anthony’s Former Fifth Avenue Pad for $43,000 a Month

Carmelo Anthony’s former Manhattan home is available for rent, offering the opportunity to live like an NBA All-Star— that is if you’re ready, willing, and able to pony up $43,000 a month. The five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom residence on Fifth Avenue spans a bit more than 4,000 square feet, perched on a high floor with sweeping views of Central Park. The apartment was Carmelo’s home base during his time with the New York Knicks, renting it in 2015 while navigating the peaks and valleys of his illustrious career.

Housed in a pre-war building originally constructed in 1925 and restored in 2012, the apartment blends classic design with modern finishes. Think glossy oak flooring, coffered ceilings, and custom millwork. A private elevator opens directly into a long entrance gallery and foyer, leading to an expansive combination living and dining room centered around a gas fireplace with a polished stone surround.

The chef’s kitchen is equipped with Italian custom cabinetry, Caesarstone countertops, and premium Miele and Bertazzoni appliances. Meanwhile, the primary suite features unobstructed views of the park, a private sitting room, two walk-in closets, and a spa-like bathroom with radiant heated floors and Dolomiti marble, notes the listing, which is being held by Ruthie and Ethan Assouline of The Assouline Team at Douglas Elliman.

The 55-unit building offers both pre-war charm and modern amenities. Think a 24-hour concierge, a 2,600-square-foot fitness center, and a residents’ lounge. For an additional fee, residents can get access to the private club at 1214 Fifth Avenue, complete with an indoor pool and media room. Notably, it also drew high-profile buyers—Bill and Melinda Gates reportedly purchased a $5 million condo here in 2018 for their daughter Jennifer Gates, paying all cash. The unit was listed for $4.75 million in 2022 but was taken off the market before it was sold.

Over the years, Anthony’s real estate portfolio has included several standout properties. His previous residence, a full-floor condo in Chelsea, was listed for $12.85 million in 2020 and reappeared on the market in 2022 after undergoing a total redesign. Located next to the High Line, the 4,556-square-foot unit featured five bedrooms, four bathrooms, Calacatta Gold marble countertops, and custom walnut cabinetry. He’s previously owned a big spread in Littleton, Colorado; a 13,000-square-foot mansion in New York’s Westchester County; and a 1929 Spanish-style home in the Beverly Grove area of Beverly Hills that he shared with his ex-wife La La Anthony, according to records.

Former NBA Star Dwight Howard’s $11.3 Million Georgia Mansion Includes a Custom Snake Room

After a little more than seven years of ownership, Dwight Howard is officially bouncing out of his Georgia estate. The eight-time NBA All-Star and former Los Angeles Lakers center—he’s currently pushing for a return stint with the West Coast team—has just hoisted his European-style residence tucked away in the suburban community of Suwanee, some 35 miles northeast of Atlanta, on the market for a dash under $11.3 million. Kelly Anderson of Engel & Volkers Atlanta holds the listing.

Built over five years for a reported $40 million and completed in 2010, the property was initially listed in early 2014 for $15 million. The place subsequently underwent several price chops before eventually selling in 2016 to the then-Atlanta Hawks player at a discounted $8.8 million, according to Atlanta Business Chronicle, which first reported the listing.

Howard’s skylight-topped snake room was custom-built by a team from Animal Planet’s “Tanked” show.

Inside, 10 bedrooms and a whopping 21 baths are sprawled across a little more than 32,400 square feet of living space. Glitzy amenities include an elevator that travels to all three levels, an entire room dedicated to housing exotic snakes, multiple kitchens, a game room, a movie theater, a bath with a steam shower and barber area, a gym, a bevy of guest apartments, and a garage complex that can accommodate up to 10 vehicles.

Introducing the home is a foyer displaying a sweeping central staircase topped by a designer chandelier, with rich hardwood floors flowing to formal living and dining rooms. Other highlights include a main kitchen outfitted with a large scullery, a walk-in pantry flaunting an automated shelving system, Sub-Zero and Viking appliances, and a separate breakfast room. Another full kitchen nearby opens onto a covered porch that sports an outdoor kitchen.

The purple-hued primary bedroom has an elaborate fireplace and a covered balcony.

The swanky main-floor primary suite comes with its own fireplace, covered balcony, and dual walk-in closets and baths, while the upper level holds additional ensuite bedrooms, entertainment spaces, and yet another kitchen. There’s also an attic space lined with custom cabinetry.

As for the resort-like grounds, expect a heated saltwater pool flanked by a brick-clad seating area hosting a massive stone fireplace and a kitchen-equipped pool house that’s currently being used as a gym, plus a half-court basketball setup, extensive gardens, and a private lake for fishing and paddle boating.

Michael Jordan’s Former Chicago Mansion Is Becoming a $1-Million-Per-Week Timeshare

Michael Jordan custom built this mansion in Illinois, and now, you can live like NBA royalty at a fraction of the cost.

The Chicago Bulls star’s former home in Highland Park, roughly 25 miles outside of the Windy City, is looking for a new owner—or rather, owners. Jordan’s longtime estate, better known as Champions Point, was finally taken off the market last December after it sold to local real estate investor John Cooper for $9.5 million. Cooper actually nabbed the abode at discount, considering its initial asking price was around $30 million. Despite finding a buyer, Cooper is opening the place up exclusively to bidders willing to shell out $1 million to spend a week at the iconic address. The seven-acre property will operate similar to a timeshare, with co-owners helping to cover annual expenses.

RELATED: Pacaso Just Unveiled a New Collection of Co-Owned Luxury Vacation Homes

The entry of the 32,000-square-foot home.

    Champions Point

“We envision Champions Point as more than just a luxury property—it’s an opportunity to own a piece of history and bring sports enthusiasts together through a unique co-ownership model,” explains Cooper, who’s now the manager of Champions Point, in a press statement. “Our goal is to create a shared experience where co-owners can enjoy unparalleled amenities and also the sense of connection and community that comes with it. By preserving the property’s original design while integrating modern technology, we’re ensuring that Champions Point continues to be a place where extraordinary memories are made for years to come.”

Altogether, the 32,000-square-foot residence holds nine bedrooms and a whopping 19 bathrooms, so it’s large enough to accommodate up to 20 guests at a time. Of course, there are tons of amenities for like-minded sports buffs, including a full-size basketball court, a fitness center, a putting green, and a tennis court. Most notably, the front gate dons a “23,” which fans will recognize as the basketball legend’s jersey number.

    There’s a regulation-sized indoor basketball court.

There are perks for non-athletic types too, like a state-of-the-art home theater, an in-ground swimming pool, a wine cellar, and a cigar room with leather poker tables. Plus, for an additional fee, the property can be used by co-owners to host special events like a wedding or charity gala with a private chef and on-site entertainment.

According to Cooper, co-ownership shares are allowed to be resold, so you can offer friends the opportunity to live like Mike—albeit for a week.

NBA Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Just Bought Two Vacation Homes in His Native Greece

NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is ballin’ beyond the court.

The Milwaukee Bucks forward just scored a pair of luxury vacation villas in his home country of Greece, and the two-time MVP will be spending the summer at the new Costa Navarino Residences, a swanky, eco-conscious development in Messenia in the southwest Peloponnese. The homes are part of Costa Navarino’s exclusive Rolling Greens community, one of the property’s three residential neighborhoods—the other two being Sea Dunes and Olive Grove.

“I came here to Costa Navarino for one reason—because I know I can bring my family, Antetokoumpo said in a statement. “When I first came here in 2018, I liked that we could all be together. This is a place that can offer me what I felt as a child.’’

    The home emphasizes indoor-outdoor living.

    Courtesy of Costa Navarino

Antetokounmpo’s new digs were designed by the Greek architecture firm Buerger Katsota. Each of the semi-detached, turnkey homes features three bedrooms and are spread out over a single story. Some of the highlights include a large swimming pool, panoramic views of the Ionian Sea, and tons of private outdoor space for lounging including a courtyard with a barbecue area.

Additionally, the sold-out Rolling Greens community has direct access to The Dunes golf course, one of four signature 18-hole courses at the development. Costa Navarino Residences just completed its first phase and recently rolled out a new Villa rental collection. As its name suggests, the program features a slew of high-end homes that are available to rent, giving guests that opportunity to enjoy all of the property’s facilities while getting the homeowner experience. The villas on offer can accommodate up to 10 guests and come with either beachfront or golf course views.

The design features local materials and eans into the natural surroundings.

    Courtesy of Costa Navarino

Antetokounmpo, also known as the “Greek Freak,” currently owns a mansion in Wisconsin. According to Realtor.com, the pro athlete nabbed the home back in 2018 for a cool $1.8 million, two years after he signed a four-year, $100 million contract extension with the Bucks. Located in the affluent River Hills suburb, the estate has five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and roughly 10,000 square feet of living space. Fun fact, Antetokounmpo reportedly nabbed the pad from former Bucks player Mirza Teletovic. Before that, the place was owned by 2014 Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams who was acquired by the Bucks in 2015 and then traded to the Chicago Bulls.

NBA Champ Leandro Barbosa Lists His Florida Home for $3.2 Million

In the 2015 NBA finals, Brazilian basketball player Leandro Barbosa scored an average of 5.2 points across six games to take home the championship title with the Golden State Warriors. Since then, the 6’3″ b-ball star and his growing family settled in Florida, where just about a year ago they bought a brand-new, custom-built Orlando-area home that, as Barbosa continues on as an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings, is now up for grabs at $3.2 million.

Set within the guard-gated Bella Collina community in Montverde, the transitional-contemporary home has six bedrooms and five bathrooms, plus a powder room, spread out over 5,056 square feet of living space with interior fittings and finishes that draw influence from Brazil. The home is offered turnkey, with all its furniture, artwork, and high-end light fixtures that complement its clean-lined modern design. The ceilings are notably high, tall enough for Barbosa and the six-foot giants in your own friend group.

The stylish great room features exposed wood beams and an asymmetrical entertainment wall.

    Danilo Tavares/Corcoran

The home’s exterior comprises stucco walls and gable roofing, with its tall, tower-like entrance being its most distinctive feature. Inside the foyer, white marble floors and custom wooden accents speak to the most frequently used materials throughout the home, while the expansive, great room has a lounge oriented toward a TV at one end and a sculptural kitchen at the other, with a spacious dining area in between. A bank of glass sliders provides unobstructed views and a direct link to the backyard.

The light hue of the exposed wood beams that hover over the space matches the wood used for the kitchen cabinetry. A gas range, convection ovens, a Sub-Zero fridge, and an island snack bar complete the gourmet package. The nearby family has a linear fireplace that is flanked by built-in wine display cabinets. Sliding glass doors open to an expansive covered patio with a summer kitchen.

Huge windows in the primary bedroom fill the garden-view room with light.

    Danilo Tavares/Corcoran

A soaring ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame garden views are key elements of the primary suite, which is flushed with natural light. Smooth wood floors trail into the massive en-suite bath that features a steam shower and a freestanding soaking tub positioned in a dedicated niche below a picture window.

The backyard is where you’ll find amenities commissioned just for Barbosa, such as the heated pool and the half-court basketball court that features his initials. As for your coveted whips, you can park four of them in the two two-car garages. Danilo Tavares of Corcoran holds the listing.
