Steve McQueen’s Former Idaho Ranch Hits the Market for $25 Million

Forget The Magnificent Seven. This Idaho estate is the magnificent 708.

Sitting on almost 260 acres of land at 708 East Fork Road in Hailey, Rockin’ B Ranch is a relatively new build on the site of actor Steve McQueen’s former pad. On the market for $25 million, the spread comprises a four-bedroom home built in 2021, an upscale equestrian barn, stocked ponds, pastures, and more. Delaney Fox of Fox Estates holds the listing.

A French limestone fireplace anchors the great room of the main residence.

    Kyle Jenkins

While the property has old-school celebrity ties—and actress Demi Moore has also long maintained a home in Hailey—it has since been brought into the modern age, with a contemporary, Western-chic main residence serving as your home base. Reclaimed wide-plank wood flooring, clay-wash plaster walls, and oak beams create a rustic feel throughout, while sculptural Apparatus light fixtures and Murano glass chandeliers double as art.

A French limestone fireplace anchors the great room, adding a cozy touch to the light and airy space. The nearby kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, including a Lacanche range, a Sub-Zero fridge, and two Miele dishwashers. Thick, four-inch marble countertops provide ample prep space for home chefs. A pass-through window over one of the sinks opens to the patio, making for extra easy indoor-outdoor hosting.

The fully heated barn includes a gym on the second level.

    Kyle Jenkins

Out back, along with the alfresco dining setup and grill, there’s a large lounge area and fire pit overlooking a nearby koi pond. Next door, you’ll find the fully heated barn, which includes four horse stalls, tack and feed rooms, an office, and a half-bath. Upstairs, the second level has been turned into a gym, but it could easily become a guest suite if you’re in the market for more sleeping quarters. Walking through the ample grounds, you’ll come across the equestrian arena, more ponds, aspen and willow groves, and the banks of the East Fork River.

The ranch’s McQueen connection makes it an appealing property for any fans of the King of Cool. The late actor also kept a home in Malibu, an oceanfront estate with a private stairway to the shore. That abode hit the market in late 2022 for $17 million. Along with his property portfolio, McQueen was a collector of cars, and several of his vehicles have popped up for auction over the years. Most recently, RM Sotheby’s announced that it would be offering his 1952 Hudson Wasp, with an estimate of up to $60,000. He clearly had impeccable taste in both cars and real estate.

Marvin Hamlisch’s Former 200-Year-Old Hamptons Home Just Listed for $4 Million

What do Marvin Hamlisch, Anna Pump, and Gene Washington have in common? They’re all renowned in their own rights, respectively, as a multi-award-winning composer and conductor, a chef and cookbook writer, and a former San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions wide receiver turned high-profile NFL executive. Each one also resided at different times through the years in this nearly 200-year-old Hamptons retreat that just popped up for sale in the heart of Sag Harbor.

More recently occupied by top New York real estate broker Noble Black and his lawyer husband, Marc Rozic, 300 Main Street was last sold to Kate Snyder King in late 2021 for around $3 million. Now it’s back on the market with Marc Heskell of Compass, this time for a dash under $4 million.

A striking blue-hued living room comes with a fireplace and French doors opening to a deck.

Holding court on Captain’s Row—an area of the village inhabited by sea captains during the 19th century when the town was a thriving whaling port—the stately Greek Revival home was built in the 1840s and is known as Pond View for its scenic locale overlooking Otter Pond and Sag Harbor Cove. Renovated and modernized, the gray-shingled and white-trimmed structure has four bedrooms and three baths in roughly 2,500 square feet across multiple levels boasting rustic hardwood floors, exposed-beam ceilings, six fireplaces, and water vistas from almost every room.

Standing out on the main level is an entry foyer that flows to a fireside parlor room. Pocketing doors open to a formal living room with a wood-burning fireplace and French doors spilling out to a deck. A bedroom that’s been converted into a den connects to the eat-in kitchen, which is outfitted with a massive original fireplace/oven, an apron-front sink, and top-tier Viking and Sub-Zero appliances.

A heated plunge pool is nestled alongside a lush lawn with flowering shrubs.

A mural-clad bath with a vintage clawfoot tub can also be found on the bottom floor, while a classic staircase heads upstairs to a spacious primary bedroom sporting a fireplace and an updated bath with radiant-heated floors, dual vanities, and a glass-encased shower. Additional sleeping quarters include a guest suite donning a marble bath and a private staircase, as well as a bedroom with yet another fireplace.

Elsewhere is an attic that’s ideal for storage or as a creative space, plus a lower level holding a speakeasy-inspired bar room hearkening back to the prohibition era and claiming the sixth and final fireplace. And topping it all off are the picturesque grounds, which are laced with gardens, lush lawns, and water features and host a plunge pool, an outdoor shower, and several alfresco lounging and entertainment areas, all secluded by an eight-foot hedge.

‘Mountainhead’ Star Jason Schwartzman’s Cozy L.A. Bungalow Lists For $1.8 Million

It’s definitely not the over-the-top Utah mansion in Deer Valley that Jason Schwartzman inhabited as a tech mogul in the HBO movie Mountainhead, though that place is currently available as a vacation rental for a whopping $60,000 per night. But a charming and far more modest Tudor-style cottage he owns in real life is now for sale in the celeb-packed Los Angeles neighborhood of Toluca Lake for a speck under $1.75 million after it was initially priced at $1.8 million. Danny Emmer of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.

Records show the actor—probably best known for the Wes Anderson films Rushmore and The Grand Budapest Hotel, as well as the HBO series Bored to Death and animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse—paid exactly $1.75 million for the property less than a year ago, in October 2024.

The fireside living room flows to a dining area via a wide arched doorway.

Built almost a century ago and recently remodeled, the white stucco and gable-roof structure features three bedrooms and two bathrooms in roughly 2,300 square feet on a single level boasting red oak floors, high ceilings, built-ins, arched doorways, and latch-style windows. There’s also a detached one-bedroom, one-bath guesthouse with a kitchen and living area.

Sitting beyond an ivy-lined sidewalk, the home is accessed via a red-hued walkway that meanders through a manicured lawn with a tiered fountain before emptying at the covered porch entry. Once inside, a living room is anchored by a modern ceramic-tiled fireplace and an adjacent dining area has French doors spilling outside. The kitchen comes with quartz countertops, a glossy subway tile backsplash, an apron-front sink, a refurbished vintage O’Keefe and Merritt stove, and a breakfast nook.

Set off by themselves are the sleeping quarters, which include a primary suite flaunting a reading alcove, a walk-in closet, and an upgraded bath, plus two additional bedrooms that share a bath. Outdoors, the hedged parcel spans less than a quarter of an acre and is spotlighted by a pergola-shaded dining space and a patio fronting the 634-square-foot guesthouse and attached one-car garage with a bonus space up top.

An L.A. native and member of the Coppola family—he’s the son of Rocky actress Talia Shire and nephew of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola—Schwartzman is also recognized for his musical endeavors as a drummer and songwriter for the rock band Phantom Planet, famous for the theme song for The O.C. TV series, and as a solo artist under his Coconut Records label. As far as acting, he recently joined the ensemble cast of the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios AI film Artificial, directed by Luca Guadagnino.

David Lynch’s Midcentury Hollywood Hills Compound Lists for $15 Million

The avant-garde Los Angeles compound assembled and customized over several decades by legendary filmmaker David Lynch has officially popped up for sale, eight months after he passed away at age 78. Consisting of seven separate structures, the asking price for the entire spread is $15 million. Marc Silver and Barry Sloane of The Agency Beverly Hills share the listing.

Tucked away on five contiguous hillside parcels, amid two-plus acres just below Mulholland Drive in the Outpost Estates neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills, the gated property is centered on a pink-hued residence originally designed for writer Marilyn Johnson in the early 1960s by Lloyd Wright, the eldest son of Frank Lloyd Wright. The aptly named Marilyn Johnson House, acquired by Lynch in 1987 for $560,000, per The Wall Street Journal, has been recognized by Historic Places LA as an “excellent example of Mid-Century Modern residential architecture.”

The main home was designed in the 1960s by Lloyd Wright, the eldest son of Frank Lloyd Wright.

The unconventional writer and director—famous for his movie and TV projects ranging from Eraserhead and Blue Velvet to Twin Peaks—went on to purchase a home to serve as a base for his Asymmetrical Productions company, plus a Brutalist-style abode that held a library, a screening room, and an editing suite and later starred in the film Lost Highway. In 1991, he commissioned Lloyd Wright’s son, Eric Lloyd Wright, to create a pool and pool house notched high up on the hillside. There’s also a two-story guesthouse and a one-bedroom space finished in smooth gray plaster—for a combined total of 10 bedrooms and 11 baths in 11,000 square feet.

Containing roughly 2,000 square feet with three bedrooms, the primary dwelling boasts a cement exterior accented with chevron patterns. Adorned throughout with walls of glass, clerestory windows, natural wood, and metalwork, the minimalist interiors are highlighted by a living room sporting a soaring wood-beam ceiling, an eye-catching sculptural fireplace, and access to a fountain-clad patio. A dining area connects to a galley-style kitchen, which is outfitted with chartreuse green countertops.

The living room is anchored by a monumental sculptural fireplace.

Lynch, who was also an accomplished visual artist, musician, and actor, looked to his L.A. compound as a source of creativity and inspiration. “The whole space is just pleasing, gives me a good feeling,” he said in a 1997 article by the German design magazine Form. “So it effects my whole life to live inside of it. And then, sometimes I see things, shapes or something that would go inside of it and that leads to furniture or film.”

Mark Wahlberg’s Former L.A. Mansion Is Back on the Market for $21.8 Million

You might not have been fortunate enough to snag Mark Wahlberg’s chateau-style megamansion in the ultra-exclusive Beverly Park enclave of Los Angeles that was just up for grabs. It went to Paris Hilton for a whopping $63 million. Now’s your chance, however, to scoop up another Beverly Hills home the Oscar-nominated actor also once owned, this one requiring a substantially smaller outlay of cash.

Wahlberg acquired the property in the posh Oak Pass Road enclave in 2001 for $5 million, added his own custom touches and upgrades, and sold the place 12 years later for nearly $10.3 million. He’s since left L.A., relocating to Las Vegas in 2022. The estate is currently owned by real estate developer Don Rufus Hankey, the son of auto-loan billionaire Don Hankey, who picked it up in April 2018 for $12.4 million and first tried to sell it in 2022 for $28.5 million.

Now the Mediterranean-style digs are available again for a smidge under $22 million, with the listing shared by Weston Littlefield, Aaron Kirman, Daniel Milstein, and Gregory Ramano of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California.

Among the other highlights is a coffer-ceilinged living and dining area, which has retractable glass doors opening out to an expansive glass-lined terrace framing canyon views. An eat-in kitchen is outfitted with top-tier Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and a climate-controlled wine cellar, while a sumptuous primary suite comes with dual walk-in closets and baths.

The Sumptuous Duplex of a New York Style Icon Lists for $5.5 Million

Carolyne Roehm is officially letting go of her bespoke New York City apartment. The lifestyle author, socialite, and former fashion designer—she worked with Oscar de la Renta before launching her own successful womenswear line, which lasted 10 years—has hoisted her majestic Manhattan duplex on the market for a stitch under $5.5 million. Charles Holmes and Evita LaSasso of Coldwell Banker Warburg share the listing.

Online reports show she acquired the seven-room spread from magazine publisher Marion Gilliam for $4.7 million back in 2004, some 10 years after she split from her second husband, Henry R. Kravis, a financier known for his $25 billion buyout of Nabisco in the late 1980s.

Roehm initially refused to even consider buying a place at the 21-story, pre-war Neoclassical 322 East 57th Street building, which was originally designed as a studio hotel by architect Harry M. Clawson in 1929 and is sometimes referred to as the Mr. Chow building, after the venerable Chinese restaurant that anchors the ground floor. She had previously looked at Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford’s apartment there and decided it had relatively modest rooms, aside from the grand salons, per The New York Times.

An acquaintance then insisted she just had to see this particular apartment because it resembled Weatherstone, her 18th-century stone house in the Connecticut town of Sharon. “When I first walked into this apartment, it was as if I had a twin brother and he’d lived here,” she said. “There were my pilasters! There was the coffered ceiling just like I have at Weatherstone.”

An upstairs bedroom has been converted into a dressing area with a wall of deep closets.

Situated on the 12th and 13th floors of the building, the palatial pad has three bedrooms and three baths across roughly 3,100 square feet outfitted with an ample allowance of gilded furnishings and decor. A semi-private elevator landing opens into a lower-level entrance gallery bathed in limestone, with a hallway flowing to a square-shaped, 27-foot-by-27-foot great room boasting an 18-foot coffered ceiling, brown walls dotted with striped white pilasters, a marble fireplace, built-in bookshelves, and two 12-foot casement windows offering city skyline views.

An oval dining room with a curved pocketing door has rich fabric panels and recessed dome lighting, and a windowed kitchen sports stainless appliances and a concealed butler’s pantry. Both a grand staircase and a private elevator head upstairs, where a handsome oak-paneled study is warmed by a fireplace. A posh southern-exposure primary hosts a large bath equipped with a soaking tub and a steam shower, while two additional en suite guest bedrooms include one that’s been converted into a dressing area.

Rounding it all off: a hefty $10,399 monthly maintenance fee, which avails the new owner with a round-the-clock doorman, storage space, and, of course, primo access to Mr. Chow.

Originally built in the mid-1920s and known as Villa Palazzetto, the stucco and terracotta-roof structure sits on a walled and gated corner parcel spanning over a third of an acre. Famously occupied in the 1930s by the late Hollywood screenwriter and director Delmer Daves, whose most successful work was the 1959 film A Summer Place, the property has six bedrooms and an equal number of baths in roughly 5,000 square feet across three levels.

Steps lead up to a hand-carved front door, which opens into a double-height entry foyer that flows to an elegant living room sporting a French stone fireplace and large windows overlooking sweeping views of Downtown L.A. The formal dining room connects to a kitchen outfitted with a white subway tile backsplash, an eat-in island, Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, and a U-shaped breakfast banquette set against a bay window. An adjacent media room has French doors spilling out to an alfresco entertaining area, while a coffer-ceilinged library comes with a Juliet balcony.

Saints Star Alvin Kamara Leased This $10 Million Colorado Home Over the Summer

An NFL star hunkered down in this Boulder, Colorado, home all summer long, but it could be yours by the start of winter.

The $10 million property served as the home base for New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara while he trained in Boulder over the summer. The 30-year-old NFL vet is a five-time Pro Bowl player and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year during his first season in the league. Joel Ripmaster at Slifer Smith & Frampton holds the listing.

A water feature made from a boulder from the Flatirons just outside anchors the kitchen and dining room.

    Amanda Proudfit

The wood-and-glass abode cuts a striking figure among Colorado’s Flatirons, with the structure actually carved into the slope and mimicking the chunky shapes of the rock formations. Designed by local architect Matt McMullan, the residence is meant to be one with nature, incorporating aspects that nod to all four elements: earth, wind, fire, and water. One of the most striking features lies between the kitchen and the dining room, where water runs over a massive boulder from the Flatirons.

RELATED: A Brand-New $29.8 Million Home in Boulder Comes With Both Indoor and Outdoor Pools

The emphasis on water continues in a koi pond next to the kitchen. It’s also visible from the floating glass stairwell that leads to the primary bedroom—dubbed the Bird’s Nest, as it’s suspended above the rest of the home. Earth, meanwhile, is evident in the materials used throughout: mahogany ceilings and floors, Jerusalem stone, and wenge wood and ebony macassar millwork. Three fireplaces on the main level, along with the radiant-heated floors, nod to fire, while the cantilevered Pilkington structural glass walls expose the house to the wind and air just outside.

There are three separate garden terraces, one trellised and set up for alfresco dining.

    Amanda Proudfit

Sitting as it does amid the raw Mountain West landscape, the abode offers plenty of additional space and amenities for relaxation. Outdoors, there are three separate garden terraces, with one above the garage providing a prime location for grilling and alfresco dining. If you consider yourself more of an indoor animal, the home theater is outfitted with theater recliners for kicking back. And, for overflow guests—or to get away from guests—a total retreat is found in the one-bedroom guesthouse, which has a private entrance, a full kitchen, and even its own garage.

In total, the property includes five bedrooms and six full baths over 8,427 square feet. An elevator connects all the different levels, with the high-altitude location offering sweeping views of the surrounding community, from downtown Boulder to the university campus to the surrounding Flatirons.
