Saints Star Alvin Kamara Leased This $10 Million Colorado Home Over the Summer

An NFL star hunkered down in this Boulder, Colorado, home all summer long, but it could be yours by the start of winter.

The $10 million property served as the home base for New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara while he trained in Boulder over the summer. The 30-year-old NFL vet is a five-time Pro Bowl player and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year during his first season in the league. Joel Ripmaster at Slifer Smith & Frampton holds the listing.

A water feature made from a boulder from the Flatirons just outside anchors the kitchen and dining room.

    Amanda Proudfit

The wood-and-glass abode cuts a striking figure among Colorado’s Flatirons, with the structure actually carved into the slope and mimicking the chunky shapes of the rock formations. Designed by local architect Matt McMullan, the residence is meant to be one with nature, incorporating aspects that nod to all four elements: earth, wind, fire, and water. One of the most striking features lies between the kitchen and the dining room, where water runs over a massive boulder from the Flatirons.

RELATED: A Brand-New $29.8 Million Home in Boulder Comes With Both Indoor and Outdoor Pools

The emphasis on water continues in a koi pond next to the kitchen. It’s also visible from the floating glass stairwell that leads to the primary bedroom—dubbed the Bird’s Nest, as it’s suspended above the rest of the home. Earth, meanwhile, is evident in the materials used throughout: mahogany ceilings and floors, Jerusalem stone, and wenge wood and ebony macassar millwork. Three fireplaces on the main level, along with the radiant-heated floors, nod to fire, while the cantilevered Pilkington structural glass walls expose the house to the wind and air just outside.

There are three separate garden terraces, one trellised and set up for alfresco dining.

    Amanda Proudfit

Sitting as it does amid the raw Mountain West landscape, the abode offers plenty of additional space and amenities for relaxation. Outdoors, there are three separate garden terraces, with one above the garage providing a prime location for grilling and alfresco dining. If you consider yourself more of an indoor animal, the home theater is outfitted with theater recliners for kicking back. And, for overflow guests—or to get away from guests—a total retreat is found in the one-bedroom guesthouse, which has a private entrance, a full kitchen, and even its own garage.

In total, the property includes five bedrooms and six full baths over 8,427 square feet. An elevator connects all the different levels, with the high-altitude location offering sweeping views of the surrounding community, from downtown Boulder to the university campus to the surrounding Flatirons.

Late Colts Owner Jim Irsay’s Indiana Lake House Sails on the Market at $20 Million

Now that his $12 million estate in the suburban city of Carmel, Indiana, has snagged a buyer after only a few short days on the market, the family of Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has also decided to put their late patriarch’s vacation retreat on the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee up for sale. The waterfront spread near the northern Indiana town of Culver is listed for a speck under $20 million with Andrea Kelly of Encore Sotheby’s International Realty.

Irsay, who passed away in May on what would have been his 65th birthday, acquired the six-acre property in 2000 for $6.2 million and subsequently custom built a multi-structure compound. Set amid two separate parcels linked by a 350-foot underground tunnel beneath a public road, the entire 35,000-square-foot spread features a European-inspired main home, plus a guesthouse accompanied by wellness and entertainment buildings.

Within the primary dwelling, crafted of stone and wood and capped by a shingled mansard roof, are eight bedrooms and 12 baths in roughly 14,000 square feet across four levels boasting partial elevator access, high timber-framed ceilings, hand-painted details, four fireplaces, several screened porches, and a walkout lower level. Other highlights include a fireside living room sporting large expanses of glass offering picturesque water vistas, as well as a cozy wood-paneled study and a spacious eat-in kitchen.

In addition to the guesthouse, which has an attached eight-car garage, an entertainment complex is decked out with a club-style bar that can seat up to 20, a four-lane bowling alley, an arcade, and an indoor shooting range, while the wellness center comes with an indoor pool and spa, a fireside lounge, and steam and fitness areas. Retractable doors open out to the grounds, which host a fire pit, a sand volleyball court, and a 4,000-square-foot dock with two boat slips and three solar-powered lifts on 250 feet of lake frontage.

Irsay, who was worth a reported $4.8 billion per Forbes, was principal owner, chairman, and CEO of the Colts from 1997 until his death. The team is now under the ownership of his three daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt, and Kalen Jackson, who told The Wall Street Journal that the lake house has been a place of peace, joy, and connection for decades.

“This property has been a quiet retreat from the busyness of life, a place where we’ve gathered as a family, celebrated milestones, and created some of our most cherished memories,” they said. “From sunrise boat rides to long summer evenings on the porch, every corner of the property holds a story. We learned to fish off the dock, roasted marshmallows under the stars, and shared countless laughs around the kitchen table.”

A Former NFL Star’s $7 Million Fort Lauderdale Mansion Has Its Own Football Field

Mike Pouncey was a force to be reckoned with on the field, and his Fort Lauderdale mansion is just as much of a powerhouse. The former Miami Dolphins center and Florida Gators star has listed his sprawling waterfront estate for $6.95 million with Kimberly Knausz with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. And in true gridiron legend fashion, it comes complete with its very own football field.

Located in the prestigious Las Olas Isles neighborhood, the modern three-story marvel sits on an oversized double lot with 100 feet of prime waterfront. Behind its sleek glass walls, the home sports five spacious ensuite bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and an open-concept design that maximizes natural light and canal views. Floor-to-ceiling windows give the place a stadium-like grandeur, while soaring ceilings create an airy, expansive feel.

RELATED: NFL Star Derrick Henry’s Texas Home Is Back on the Market for $1.6 Million

The open-concept layout includes a gourmet kitchen with an oversized island.

Jad Esmail / ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

The gourmet kitchen is a chef’s dream, featuring top-of-the-line appliances, custom cabinetry, and an oversized island that’s ideal for serving up Super Bowl spreads. Fitness buffs will appreciate the dedicated gym, which includes floor-to-ceiling windows, a sauna, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of downtown Fort Lauderdale. The home is fully integrated with smart home technology, ensuring effortless control of lighting, climate, security, and entertainment.

Out back, Pouncey’s estate truly sets itself apart. The resort-style backyard features a stunning swimming pool and spa, a summer kitchen, and an outdoor entertainment area worthy of a championship celebration. But the real showstopper? A custom-built football field, complete with a Miami Dolphins logo at midfield.

Not just for pigskin enthusiasts, the backyard is a sports lover’s paradise and also includes a putting green, basketball hoop, and soccer goal. With 100 feet of deep-water frontage, a private dock, and direct ocean access with no fixed bridges, the property is also a dream for boaters.

The football field can also be used as a soccer pitch.

Jad Esmail / ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

For years, Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Isles has been a premier destination for the affluent and influential, drawing high-profile names such as Gloria Vanderbilt, Sonny Bono and Cher, and Blockbuster billionaire H. Wayne Huizenga. Pouncey, who played 10 seasons in the NFL before retiring with the Los Angeles Chargers, is trading in his South Florida oasis for a 220-acre ranch in Okeechobee, also in Florida, The New York Post reported. But for the next lucky owner, this estate is a touchdown waiting to happen.

These 10 Sports Stars Had the Most Expensive Real Estate Transactions of 2023

Even as the luxury housing market fluctuates, one thing remains steady: sports celebs love to play the real estate game.

Last year, celebrated University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban splashed out eight figures for a mega-mansion in South Florida, while NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw offloaded his sprawling Oklahoma ranch. At the same time, Chicago Bulls shooting guard and two-time NBA All-Star Zach LaVine set a record when he scored a lavish estate in southern California’s Newport Beach.

A new report from luxury real estate brokerage RubyHome Northwest analyzed the 10 biggest property moves made by sports figures in 2023, whether that meant investing in a new home, putting a residence on the market, or selling a swanky place for a profit. At the top of the list was LaVine, whose $34 million transaction made headlines as the priciest home ever sold in Orange County’s exclusive Pelican Crest community. The athlete’s new digs, a Tuscan-style mansion, measures 11,200 square feet and offers six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, The Real Deal reported. Originally built in 2010, the villa has sweeping views of Newport Beach. Plus, it’s packed with tons of perks, including a movie theater, a private gym, a golf simulator, and a swimming pool.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford came in second place after the Super Bowl LVI champ threw down a cool $28.2 million on a spec home in Hidden Hills—the most ever paid for a house in the guard-gated community that is a favorite among music stars, professional athletes, and the Kardashian family. Stafford and his wife, Kelly, also own the house next door, which they purchased in 2022 for $10.5 million.

Terry Bradshaw sold the Oklahoma ranch that he custom-built over two decades.

    Icon Global

“With new milestones set by Zach LaVine and Matt Stafford, the data underscores a vibrant landscape within the sports celebrity real estate realm, with approximately 14 sports stars making acquisitions, 47 listing properties, and 36 completing sales in the past year,” a spokesperson for RubyHome Northwest said in a press statement. “We also found football stars are the most dominant in the results, showcasing NFL names as strategic buyers and adept at leveraging their property assets.”

Speaking of football stars, legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw parted ways with his custom-built, 744-acre ranch near the Texas border, Icon Global confirmed in a news release. Last asking $22.5 million, the longtime Fox Sports broadcaster’s former estate includes eight lakes and ponds, horse stables, riding trails, several barns, and an 8,600-square-foot residence.

Holding down the fourth spot is retired NBA point guard Goran Dragic, who is hoping someone scoops up his Miami abode, which is currently on the market for just shy of $20 million. Dubbed La Grande Dame (shout out, Karen Huger!), the 6,000-square-foot home is positioned on Biscayne Bay and comprises seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

It appears Saban, who announced last week that he’s stepping down from coaching college football after a successful 17-year run, will be spending some of his retirement in the Sunshine State, where last year he dropped $17.5 million for a palatial home on Jupiter Island. The waterfront home, which was listed with Joanne Wagner and Susan Turner of The Corcoran Group, includes a private dock, a 40,000-pound boat lift, and 150 feet of ocean frontage.

Along those same lines, Justin Verlander picked up a $16.75 million penthouse in New York City after the MLB pitcher inked a deal with the Mets, while former NBA star Jason Kapono is aiming to offload his 6,200-square-foot-home in Austin, Texas, which hit the market last October for $13.5 million.

Recently retired University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban dropped $17.5 million for a mansion on Florida’s Jupiter Island.

    Robert Stevens Photography

In the eighth spot is former Atlanta Braves great Chipper Jones, who landed a buyer for his 37-acre spread in Georgia. The massive property, which fetched a record-setting $11 million, is equipped with eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a horse barn, a movie theater, a bike track, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Next up was Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who shelled out $10.5 million for a new home in Manhattan Beach, California. The property was previously owned by Modern Family executive producer Danny Zuker and by MLB pitcher Ken Brett. (It was also formerly occupied by NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal.) More recently, Goff picked up the house next door for $8.6 million.

Last on the list, but definitely not least, off-road racer-turned-developer Roger Norman parted ways with his record-setting acquisition of a huge home in Reno, Nevada. Dubbed the Pennington Mansion, the stone-clad crib clocks in at 20,000 square feet; the $10.3 million deal went down as the biggest in the city’s history.

Travis Kelce Just Dropped $6 Million a Kansas City Hideaway Because of Taylor Swift

Apparently, Travis Kelce knows places where he and Taylor Swift can hide.

The Chiefs tight end just scored a $6 million Kansas City mansion after Swifties allegedly began flocking to his former abode, according to TMZ. The 34-year-old was reportedly uneasy with how accessible his former home was to fans and paparazzi, so he bought his own fortress of solitude in a gated community in Leawood to hopefully shake them off. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the NFL star paid for the pad in all cash. Perhaps he’s picked up a thing or two from his real estate mogul-slash-musician girlfriend.

Travis Kelce just bought a $6 million mansion in Kansas City, Missouri for more privacy amid his relationship with Taylor Swift.

    Gotham/GC Images

The athlete’s swanky estate measures nearly 17,000 square feet and includes six bedrooms and six bathrooms. According to the listing, the three-acre spread was originally built in 1998 and has undergone a massive renovation thanks to Wolfgang Trost Architects and builder Harry Roth. The current house has tons of sporty amenities like a lighted tennis and pickleball court, a mini golf course and a practice green, plus a swimming pool. There’s also a waterfall, wine cellar, and a garage where the Ohio native will presumably store his 1970 Chevelle 408 Stroker convertible—the now famous getaway car.

The property sits on over three acres and measures a whopping 17,000 square feet.

    Google Earth

Kelce, who was drafted by the Chiefs in 2013, has added a few properties to his portfolio in the years since. According to the New York Post, the two-time Super Bowl champ scooped up his former Kansas City home in 2019 in the affluent Briarcliff West neighborhood. At the time, Kelce paid a cool $995,000 for the 10,000-square-foot crib, which features five bedrooms, two baths, a fitness room, a movie theater, and a swimming pool. That same year, he snagged a condo in Orlando, Florida for $355,000. As for Swift, the only thing more impressive than her Eras Tour earnings is the pop star’s $150 million worth of property investments.   More

Cooper Kupp’s Oregon Mansion Hits the Market for $3.5 Million

Cooper Kupp may be resting his legs this season, but he’s certainly active in the real estate market.

The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, just hoisted his four-acre Oregon home on the market, The Wall Street Journal first reported. Listed for $3.5 million, Kupp bought the Wilsonville property sight unseen for a cool $2.5 million back in 2020. The spread, which sits 30 minutes outside of Portland, includes a five-bedroom main house and an almost 2,000-square-foot guest house. The four-car garage is set up as a gym, and Kupp converted a barn into a training facility during the pandemic.

“So much blood, sweat and tears went in there. It was really pretty special,” the Super Bowl LVI MVP told the newspaper. The 4,600-square-foot indoor sports complex is equipped with a turf-lined field, retractable basketball hoops at both ends, lighting, speakers, and two oversized bay doors.

Cooper Kupp’s Oregon home has an indoor training facility that he used ahead of Super Bowl LVI.

    Justin Jones/Jones Media Shop

“I did the majority of my off-season prep there in the lead-up to our Super Bowl season,” added Kupp, speaking to Forbes. “We were very intentional in outfitting the barn to make it the best performance center that we could, and I think that work shows. I’m going to miss the early morning work in that barn.”

The 5,700-square-foot main house is constructed of brick in a Gothic Revival style and has a huge circular driveway in front. It features hardwood flooring, natural stone accents, enormous windows, and decorative millwork throughout. Highlights include a cozy paneled office with a fireplace, a family room bar with a wine fridge, and a formal dining room decked out with coffered ceilings and chandeliers. Nearby, the kitchen is equipped with a large center island and Miele and Subzero appliances.

The Los Angeles Rams player’s compound includes a Gothic Revival-style main house.

    Justin Jones/Jones Media Shop

The primary suite is situated on the ground floor, complete with a private entry vestibule, its own patio, and an en suite bath. Upstairs, there are four additional bedrooms.

Kupp, a Washington native, said the reason that he and his wife are selling is because they don’t have as much time to travel to Oregon with their three kids. While we’re not sure where the Rams receiver’s next offseason retreat will be, for now, we suspect he’ll remain cooped up in Los Angeles.

Patrick Mahomes’s Ranch-Style Manse in Kansas City Just Hit the Market for $3 Million

Chiefs fans, don’t panic. Patrick Mahomes isn’t leaving Kansas City, he’s just parting ways with one of his Missouri properties.

The quarterback recently put a ranch-style retreat on the market for just shy of $3 million, Dirt reported. Back in 2019, Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, shelled out a cool $1.9 million for the three-bed, five-bath pad and have since given the digs a whopping $400,000 makeover. Dating back to the ‘50s, the house sits on over an acre in the city’s swanky Country Club District and measures 4,800 square feet. Of course, you don’t have to be a sports enthusiast to buy this place but assuming you fit the bill, there’s a putting green in the backyard to practice your golf game plus a heated swimming pool.

Inside, the midcentury spread has been redone from top-to-bottom. Think contemporary hardwood floors, built-ins galore, and tons of windows throughout. A few of the highlights include an updated sunroom that feels super bright and airy, along with an open-concept living and dining area, and a family room complete with a stone fireplace and a wet bar. Nearby, the chef’s kitchen is just as impressive, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and an eat-in island.

If you’re keen on entertaining, the finished basement offers up a host of amenities. Downstairs, you’ll find a screening room, a wine cellar, a lounge, and yet another bar. If you’re a self-proclaimed sneakerhead like the two-time Super Bowl champion, you’ll appreciate that the primary suite comes with not one but two walk-in closets. It helps that the bedrooms also have a massive soaking tub and shower.

Even though Mahomes has officially listed his primary residence, he still counts a two-bedroom Kansas City condo and a Texas mega-manse as part of his real-estate portfolio. The NFL MVP also reportedly snagged an eight-acre parcel in Loch Lloyd and has plans to erect a custom estate and a half- field where he can hone his skills in the off-season.

Cami Jones and Paige Buechele of ReeceNichols Real Estate hold the listing.  More
