Chicago Bears Star D.J. Moore Just Tossed His North Carolina Home on the Market for $5 Million
Back in spring 2022, a few years after he was signed to the Carolina Panthers squad, D.J. Moore doled out $5 million for a lakefront property in the North Carolina city of Charlotte. Now, following a trade that saw him go to the Chicago Bears last season, the NFL wide receiver has decided to hand over the keys to the residence for the exact same price he paid for the modern lakefront spread a little over two years ago.
Resting amid a gated parcel spanning nearly 4 acres in The Sanctuary community, along the shores of Lake Wylie bordering South Carolina, the white wood-shingled structure was built in 2019 and has five bedrooms and six baths in a little more than 9,700 square feet of three-level living space offering picturesque water views from almost every vantage point.

Currently unfurnished, the open-concept interiors are introduced by a pivoting front door that leads into a soaring great room anchored by a fireplace and retractable glass doors spilling out to a screened-in balcony warmed by a fireplace. Other highlights include a gourmet kitchen outfitted with pricey backlit quartzite countertops, an eat-in island, top-tier appliances, a breakfast nook, and an adjacent scullery, plus a fireside primary suite hosting a private balcony, custom closets, and a luxe bath equipped with an oval soaking tub and a large walk-through shower.
Elsewhere are two laundry rooms, including one with a built-in pet-feeding station, as well as recreation and bonus spaces, a window-lined gym, and a movie theater. Per the listing held by Tracy Davis of Christie’s International Real Estate, there are also dual garages with room for up to four vehicles, along with a covered parking spot for a golf cart and renderings for a new pier.
The 27-year-old Philadelphia native was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers out of the University of Maryland in 2018 with the No. 24 overall pick. Moore went on to join the Chicago Bears in 2023 as part of a blockbuster trade that included the Bears’ No. 1 pick in the draft, which the Panthers used to select Heisman Trophy-winning Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.

NFL Star Christian McCaffrey Tosses Swank North Carolina Mansion on the Market for $12.5 Million
Christian McCaffrey is busy gearing up for his first shot at a Super Bowl title. But that hasn’t stopped the San Francisco 49ers running back from making a real estate play, hoisting his lavish residence in the North Carolina town of Mooresville up for sale at $12.5 million—or an impressive $5 million more than the NFL’s newly named “Offensive Player of the Year” paid for the lakeside spread a little over three years ago.
Per The Wall Street Journal, the former Carolina Panthers player bought the property in late 2020 for $7.5 million. A sales record at the time for the metro Charlotte area—one-upped by the $7.6 million transfer of another home on the lake in 2023—the French chateau-style manor could once again see top ranking if it sells for anywhere near the asking price. Victoria Speer of The Agency Charlotte serves as the listing agent.

A main six-bedroom home is connected via a porte-cochere to a one-bedroom guesthouse sitting atop a three-car garage that’s been converted into a gym, with glitzy amenities ranging from another gym and a sauna, to a movie theater, wine cellar, safe room, and family room and bar area that open to a terrace.

An added bonus: McCaffrey’s boat, Wildcat ATV, jet ski and golf court are all included in the sale, with his personal training equipment in the garage-turned-gym also up for negotiations.
The 27-year-old Colorado native was originally drafted by the Carolina Panthers out of Stanford University with the No. 8 overall pick in 2017. McCaffrey went on to join the San Francisco 49ers in 2022, where he’s since become only the fourth player in the team’s history to surpass 2,000 scrimmage yards and is set to compete in the NFC Championship game versus the Detroit Lions Jan. 28.
