      YouTuber Alpharad’s Sleek L.A. Home Lists for $5 Million

      It’s been almost three years since Jacob Rabon picked up a Los Angeles residence in the San Fernando Valley community of Sherman Oaks. Now the successful YouTube and Twitch streamer—known to his roughly 4 million subscribers as Alpharad—is looking to hand over the keys to the modern digs for a smidge under $5 million. Brandon Piller and Joey Ben-Zvi of The Agency share the listing.

      Purchased by the 29-year-old Oklahoma native for $4.8 million in summer 2022, shortly after it was newly built, the stucco and glass structure rests on almost a quarter of an acre of land fronted by an attached two-car garage with EV chargers.

      The living room is spotlighted by a wood-encased linear fireplace topped by a big-screen TV.

      A steep flight of stairs leads up from the driveway to the tall wooden front door, which opens into 5,300 square feet of tri-level living space featuring a total of six bedrooms and eight baths. An elevator and a curving wood and iron-railed staircase service all floors, while a swath of automated smart-home systems control sound, lighting, security, and more.

      Main-level highlights include an open-concept great room that opens directly to the fully walled backyard via sliding glass doors. Holding court here is a fireside living room, as well as a dining area topped by an industrial-style chandelier mimicking a collection of lightsabers and a dark-hued kitchen boasting custom cabinetry, an oversized island with an integrated breakfast table, and top-tier appliances.

      The kitchen is stocked with state-of-the-art appliances.

      The lower level has a cozy family room, a movie theater, and ample space for an office or a studio, while the upper floor holds a posh primary suite flaunting a fireplace, a private balcony, a walk-in closet, and a spa-inspired bath equipped with dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a rainfall shower.

      Five additional bedrooms, including one on the lower level and the rest up top, all have their own bath. And outdoors, you’ll find small but nicely landscaped grounds hosting a pool and spa, a built-in barbecue, and a grass-trimmed concrete patio warmed by a large veined-marble fireplace.

      As it turns out, records reveal Alpharad’s YouTuber friend Jaiden Animations recently sold a fully updated property in L.A.’s Eagle Rock neighborhood for $2.6 million.

      English TV Chef Fanny Cradock’s Former U.K. Home Lists for $6.6 Million

      Before Mary Berry and Prue Leith, there was Fanny Cradock… 

      The original grande dame of English cookery television, Cradock swept onto screens in the 1950s with theatrical flair. Draped in pearls and shoulder pads, she transformed the British kitchen into a stage—and her home into something of a set. That home, the Dower House, a Grade II-listed Georgian residence tucked into the lush edge of The Grove in Hertfordshire, is now making its return to the market for £5 million (or $6.6 million) with Knight Frank and Savills.  

      Dating back to the late 17th and 18th centuries, Dower House is no ordinary period property. In fact, it has quite a storied provenance. Cradock lived here during the height of her television fame, and Romantic composer Frederick Delius occupied it decades prior. And it was from this very kitchen that Cradock broadcast her BBC program. The kitchen remains green, as a nod to its iconic past, but the infamous 1970s tiles are gone.

      The home itself was extensively updated by financier David Cowham in 2013, including new oak floors and a lavish library, The Times reported. Current owner Christopher Mackenzie has since invested over $1 million, adding security gates, air conditioning, and a separate cottage, while enhancing the grounds with maples, a golden birch, and cherry trees. 

      Today, the almost 5,200-square-foot home comprises seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a suite of reception rooms. Antique French oak flooring, handcrafted cabinetry, and walnut paneling by David Salmon of Arthur Brett & Sons lend an understated sense of grandeur. The principal suite overlooks the mill stream, with a dressing room and spa-like en suite; guest suites, including one entirely refurbished in 2024, provide ample space for entertaining on a Cradock scale.

      ‘Power’ Creator Courtney Kemp’s Charming Spanish-Style Bungalow in L.A. Lists for $2.7 Million

      Courtney Kemp doled out nearly $2 million for a petite bungalow in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles back in late 2018. Now the much-lauded TV writer and producer—most known for the successful Starz series Power and its many spinoffs, as well as The Good Wife and The Bernie Mac Show—has decided to part ways with the home, hoisting it on the market for a dash under $2.7 million with Timothy Di Prizito and Aleff Luz of Christie’s International Real Estate SoCal.

      Originally built in the 1920s, the Spanish Revival structure has since been meticulously updated. Tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined street and secured behind hedge-lined walls and a gate, the house sports three bedrooms and an equal number of baths in a little more than 2,100 square feet of single-level living space rife with restored hardwood floors, hand-painted mosaic tile, casement windows, arched doorways, and French doors spilling outside.

      In addition to her for-sale Hancock Park home, records show Kemp has owned a similar bungalow in a nearby neighborhood since 2018. And last year she took a substantial loss on the sale of an Italian-style villa in nearby Windsor Square that she bought from actress Joanna Garcia Swisher and her retired pro basketball player husband Nick Swisher in 2019 for $8.7 million.

Similarly, the sale of the $150 million Tarpon Island estate in Palm Beach highlights the premium placed on sizable, exclusive properties. This private island, featuring a nearly 24,000-square-foot mansion with extensive amenities, was acquired by Australian investor Michael Dorrell, marking a record for non-oceanfront deals in the area.

      Jeff Bezos Just Sold One of His Washington Homes for a Record $63 Million

      It looks as though the record for the most expensive Washington home sale ever has been broken once again, this time by a waterfront estate in the exclusive Hunts Point enclave northeast of Seattle. At $63 million, the sky-high price eclipses the previous milestone set in 2020 by $3 million. Jeff Bezos was the lucky seller, while the buyer was an LLC tied to Delaware-based Cayan Investments. The clandestine off-market deal was first reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

      As huge as that amount may be, the property is loaded with perks that could make the $63 million figure seem almost worth it to some folks. For one thing, the woodsy spread rests along 300 feet of water frontage on the eastern shores of Lake Washington and boasts a nearly 2,200-square-foot dock that can accommodate boats and seaplanes. For another, the grounds span over three acres with old-growth trees, rose gardens, and a bamboo grove.

      The Amazon and Blue Origin founder bought the place in spring 2019, paying $37.5 million, which broke a regional sales record set just a year before by a $26.75 million sale. Designed by noted local architect Jim Olson of Olson Kundig, the modern abode was built in 2003 for the late art collector and cruise line magnate Barney Ebsworth, who called it “an American Place.”

      Since the concrete, glass, and steel structure was never officially on the market, current details and photos are scarce. But online data reveals the home has three bedrooms and four baths in a little more than 9,400 square feet that sports a mix of limestone, poured concrete, and hardwood floors, Venetian plaster walls, and vast expanses of glass. Standing out are formal living and dining rooms separated by a voluminous entry foyer, a family room marked by a gold-clad fireplace, and a pair of kitchens.

      The three-acre spread rests along 300 feet of water frontage on the eastern shores of Lake Washington.

      The sleeping quarters are secluded in opposite wings of the house, including a duo of en-suite bedrooms with a breakfast bar and an elegant primary suite that comes with a fireside seating area, dual walk-in closets, a spa room, a luxe bath with a Japanese soaking tub, and an elevator that heads up to a rooftop terrace warmed by a fireplace. There’s also a glass walkway leading to a detached two-story guesthouse.

      In addition to his Hunts Point digs, Bezos still owns at least three other Washington homes in the city of Medina, including a 30,000-square-foot Tudor-style spread known as the La Haye estate that he acquired in 2010 for $45 million. The multibillionaire, who’s announced he’s making South Florida his primary residence, recently spent a combined total of around $234 million buying up three waterfront estates on Miami’s Indian Creek Island (a.k.a. the Billionaire Bunker), most recently a roughly $90 million mansion that he plans to live in while work is being done on the two other side-by-side properties he previously purchased.

      Mick Jagger’s Former London Flat Hits the Market for $7 Million

      Rock legend Mick Jagger brings the edge on The Rolling Stones’ 1969 track Live With Me, where he mentions taking “tea at three.” He likely indulged in a cup or two at three in his former sub-penthouse—the unit directly below the actual penthouse—in London’s Marylebone area, where he partied with bandmate Keith Richards and then-girlfriend Marianne Faithfull. Now listed for the first time in 30 years with Prime London and Beauchamp Estates, the $7 million (£5.5 million) home resides in a landmark Edwardian-era mansion. 

      Known as Harley House, the gated apartment house was designed by architects Edward Boehmer and Percey Christian Gibbs and built between 1903 and 1904. Jagger’s former party pad sits on the building’s fourth floor with nearly 2,500 square feet of living space. Two reception rooms sit off its entrance hall, and further in, four bedrooms span the layout.

      Shortly after the Stones was founded in 1962 by Jagger and Richards, alongside instrumentalist Brian Jones, bassist Bill Wyman, and drummer Charlie Watts, the band began to skyrocket to fame. The success of iconic tracks like (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction and Get Off My Cloud is what allowed Jagger to lease the posh apartment in 1966. He had the place decked out that first summer in a “hippie-bohemian” style. 

      Jagger and Faithfull began dating the same year, and by year’s end, she had “become a regular fixture in the apartment,” the co-listing agents claim in a statement. But if there’s one thing for certain, it’s that the rock star left his mark on the abode before moving in 1968 to Belgravia’s Chelsea Square. 

      During its refurbishment, Jagger had photographer Gered Mankowitz capture portraits of him in a fur coat on the roof and in the drawing room, formerly referenced as the “hippie lounge.” A soaring 10-foot ceiling hovers above a wood-burning fireplace there, next to honey-toned herringbone floorboards that span the home. Richards regularly stopped by, often staying for days at a time after Jagger’s no-doubt epic shindigs that reportedly saw the likes of Princess Margaret as well.

      Jagger did another photoshoot at the property, during which photographer Colin Jones snapped the musician in its entrance hall, where he stood dressed in a vintage military uniform. Today the flat features a sleek, minimalist kitchen; a formal dining room for 10; a study; and a primary suite with large bay windows, a dressing room, and a very modern bathroom that likely bears little resemblance to Jagger’s days.

      Regent’s Park, set adjacent to Harley House, affords homeowners easy access to its calm green spaces; the local underground station makes traversing London a breeze; and, no doubt, when taking a break from performing tracks like Paint it Black or Aftermath, which dropped during his time at Harley House, Jagger and Faithfull visited Harrods and San Lorenzo nearby for lunches.

      The veteran actor—probably still best known after all these years for his 1990s role as teen heartthrob Zack Morris on Saved by the Bell—wound up selling the place in early 2022 in an off-market deal for $5.3 million, turning a tidy $3 million profit in the process. Now the French Country-style digs are available again, this time with a $5.5 million price tag. Heather Altman and Casey Gamm of The Altman Brothers Team at Douglas Elliman hold the listing.
