Bethenny Frankel’s Longtime Home in the Hamptons Is Hitting the Market for $6 Million

Now that Bethenny Frankel has settled into a $5.4 million summer home on New York’s Shinnecock Bay—where she’s been seen toodling around town with her daughter Bryn in a vintage Bronco and is just steps away from easily indulging in her beloved pastime of paddleboarding via a private beach—The Real Housewives of New York City alum and Skinnygirl Cocktails mogul has no need for her other Hamptons residence. So, she’s decided to hoist her longtime digs in the hamlet of Bridgehampton on the market with Noble Black and Erica Grossman of Douglas Elliman, asking a smidge under $6 million.

Records show Frankel paid $2 million for the Lumber Lane house overlooking a vast nature preserve back in 2013 and then doled out an additional $650,000 for a neighboring property with a small home. Per Behind the Hedges, this was one of the first major purchases she made on her own after she sold Skinnygirl to Fortune Brands’ Beam Global in 2011 for an estimated $100 million.

The main house and a guest cottage are nestled amid beautifully landscaped gardens that adjoin 40 acres of open fields.

    Rise Media

The roughly 1.4-acre property is secluded behind gates and hedges and showcased by a shingle-clad main home boasting four bedrooms and three baths in roughly 2,500 square feet of two-level living space accented throughout with honey-hued hardwood floors and designer finishes. There’s also a detached one-car garage, plus a separate one-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage that spans about 600 square feet and has its own kitchen and living room.

Extensively remodeled during Frankel’s tenure, the charming main house features a living room sporting a fireplace with a brick surround and access to a bluestone patio, as well as an upgraded kitchen outfitted with bespoke millwork, an eat-in island, top-tier Viking appliances, and an accompanying dining area. Just off the kitchen is a cozy sunroom, while an en-suite bedroom on the main floor is currently being used as a den.

The open-concept interiors feature a living room that connects to a dining area and kitchen.

    Rise Media

Four more bedrooms can be found upstairs, including a primary suite that comes complete with a balcony and a spa-like bath spotlighted by dual vanities and a vintage-style soaking tub. Outdoors, the picturesque grounds are laced with gardens and host a pool and spa, a poolhouse with a half-bath, a kitchen setup, and plenty of spots ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining.

In addition to her Hamptons homes, the 53-year-old New York native also maintains a primary residence in Greenwich, Conn., along with pied-à-terres in Manhattan and South Florida. The avid real estate investor, who joined former Million Dollar Listing agent Fredrik Eklund in 2018 for the Bravo show Bethenny and Fredrik, also has bought and sold numerous homes in both Greenwich and the Hamptons, including a historic Bridgehampton home known as Morning Glory that went for nearly $2.3 million back in 2020.

One of the ‘Buying Beverly Hills’ Stars Is Selling a TV Composer’s Home in L.A. for $6 Million

Though the reality show Farrah Brittany starred in alongside Mauricio Umansky and her sisters was recently canceled after two seasons on Netflix, the Buying Beverly Hills star is still peddling properties for the family real estate business. In fact, the stepdaughter of Umansky and daughter of Kyle Richards—he the co-founder and CEO of The Agency brokerage firm the series followed, and she his estranged wife and a cast member of The Housewives of Beverly Hills—has just hoisted a particularly eye-catching residence in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Hollywood Hills up for sale, asking a smidge under $6 million.

In another TV-related twist, the home is owned by Shuki Levy. And while he’s not exactly a household name, if you happen to be a connoisseur of animated cartoons from the 1980s and ’90s, you’ve likely come across his handiwork. There are the memorable theme songs he composed for 130-plus children’s shows, including Inspector Gadget and He-Man and Masters of the Universe, and his work as one-half of the producing team that created the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise.

The cozy family room is adorned with a fireplace and wet bar.

Records indicate that Levy and his chef and food blogger wife Tori Avery doled out $1.45 million in spring 1994 for the property, which is nestled amid a gated cul-de-sac parcel spanning almost 1.6 acres and includes a Spanish-style main house, plus a wood-clad guest cabin—for a total of seven bedrooms and an equal number of baths in nearly 6,500 square feet overlooking sweeping city lights and mountain views.

As for the multi-level primary residence, a double-height entry foyer displaying a curving floating staircase flows to a dedicated office space, as well as formal living and dining rooms separated by a double-sided fireplace. A gourmet kitchen boasting marble countertops, a workstation, a center island, top-tier Viking appliances, and a breakfast nook connects to the fireside family room, which comes complete with a wet bar and a powder room.

The bottom floor, meanwhile, offers a gym, a movie theater, a game room, and direct access to garden-laced grounds hosting a resort-style pool and spa, a koi pond, a gazebo, a barbecue, a pizza oven, and plenty of spots ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining.

An NFL Legend’s Custom Vacation Retreat in Montana Is Heading to Auction This Month

Last year, Drew Brees partnered up with Animal Planet’s reality TV series Treehouse Masters to create a deluxe mountain getaway in northwest Montana, about 13 miles north of the small resort town of Whitefish. The former NFL quarterback had originally planned to build another home on the site before he decided otherwise and hoisted an already completed guesthouse up for sale at the start of the year with a nearly $8 million price tag.

Since then, the price dipped to $7.5 million, and now, with the place remaining unsold, listing agent Sean Averill of PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate has opted to put the entire 20-acre spread in the exclusive gated Homestead community under the gavel via Concierge Auctions, with bids expected to start between $2 million and $4 million. Per the listing, “the offering includes multiple building sites, allowing the new owner to build and create their own dream estate.”

The double A-frame ‘treehouse’ boasts an expansive deck warmed by a propane fire-pit.

    Concierge Auctions

Originally conceived as a guesthouse to accompany a main residence that never came to fruition, the double A-frame, wood-sided structure is known as the On the Rocks Ranch Treehouse and elevated 15 feet above ground. Once inside, four bedrooms and two baths can be found in 1,700 square feet of living space boasting a mix of Douglas fir and whitewashed oak floors, natural hemlock paneling, high wood-beam ceilings, and walls of glass throughout.

Highlights of the house, which comes fully furnished, include an entry door crafted from salvaged redwood culled from California water tanks, plus a double-height living room sporting a ceiling supported by cables and French doors opening to deck with a large propane fire pit and picturesque views of the Whitefish Mountains and Glacier National Park beyond. The dining area comes with a live-edge wood table and an eat-in kitchen is outfitted with concrete countertops, a decorative tile backsplash, a farmhouse sink, stainless appliances, and a wine fridge.

A dining area off the living room comes complete with a live-edge wood table that seats six.

A trio of windowed sleeping lofts includes one that’s currently set up as a yoga space, while a primary main-floor bedroom hosting a Juliet balcony and a bespoke closet sits across the hall from a bath that has dual vanities, a freestanding soaking tub, and a glass-encased shower. Rounding it all out is a lengthy roster of community amenities and activities, which include hiking and biking trails, equestrian facilities, a shooting and archery range, and access to two lakes where residents can fish, kayak, and paddle board. In the winter, there’s skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort about 20 miles away.

“This treehouse is a personal sanctuary where our family could escape to nature and enjoy the peace and freedom of the Montana wilderness while having access to all the amenities of the Homestead community at our fingertips when needed,” Brees said in a press statement. “We worked meticulously on every detail with Pete Nelson and Treehouse Masters to create a truly one-of-a-kind treehouse experience. This fulfilled a childhood dream. It’s a special place. ”

A rustic fire-pit surrounded by rock seating can be found among the tree-laced grounds.

Brees retired in 2021 after a 20-year career in the NFL, the last 15 spent with the New Orleans Saints, where he led the team to nine playoff appearances, seven division titles, and the Super Bowl XLIV championship, where he was named MVP. As first reported by the New York Post, the future Hall of Famer doesn’t plan to leave Montana completely, as he reportedly owns a ranch there.

Private previews of the property are available upon request, with bidding for the no-reserve auction set to run online from Sept. 12-26 and then end live Sept. 27 in Hong Kong as part of Concierge Auctions global sales series. A $100,000 bidder deposit is required.

Star Moves: Byron Allen Sheds His Aspen Getaway, While Nicolas Cage and Claire Danes Pick Up New Digs

This week in celebrity real estate transactions, Byron Allen sold his fully furnished Rocky Mountain retreat, Nicolas Cage picked up an oceanfront home in Malibu, and word on the street is Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy have settled into a new townhouse in New York City.

Barely three months after Byron Allen flipped a couple of multimillion-dollar homes in Beverly Hills up for sale at $40 million, the comedian-turned-media mogul has sold a modern mansion in the Colorado ski resort town of Aspen in a hush-hush off-market deal for $60 million, or a whopping $33 million more than the CEO of Entertainment Studios paid for the David Johnston-designed spread in 2020. Built in 2015 and resting on almost an acre of land just steps from the Roaring Fork River, the seven-bedroom house has roughly 9,000 square feet of remodeled living space overlooking the surrounding mountains. There’s also a Bulthaup kitchen and a heated pool. As first reported by The Wall Street Journal, Allen decided to sell because he wasn’t spending much time there. His personal property portfolio still contains numerous residences in premium locales such as New York, Maui, and Malibu.

Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage recently plunked down $10.5 million for a beachside property nestled amid an exclusive gated thoroughfare in Malibu. Completed in the early 1990s, the four-bedroom, six-bath abode has nearly 4,000 square feet on four floors highlighted by a living room sporting a fireplace and a bar, a kitchen outfitted with Thermador appliances, and a fireside primary suite with a luxe bath. Sliding glass doors open the entire house to the Pacific, with other notable features including a two-car garage that has an elevator and an adjacent beach lot. Cage also owns a $2.85 million home in Las Vegas that he picked up in 2021.

And in N.Y.C., Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy put their longtime townhouse in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan up for sale last month at $9.75 million because they needed more space for their three children and frequent family guests. Saying they weren’t planning to go far and preferred to stay downtown, we hear through the property gossip grapevine they’ve already doled out $13 million for another townhouse near Gramercy Park, this one a 25-footer that was originally built back in the 1800s and has since been transformed into an “architectural masterpiece.” Spanning five levels and offering about 8,500 square feet, the swanky spread boasts a total of eight bedrooms and 10 baths, spacious living and dining areas, a sleek kitchen with a breakfast nook, a library, and recreation and media rooms. Topping it all off, literally, is a roof terrace. More

The ‘Banksy of Floral Design’ Is Selling His West Palm Beach Bungalow for $2.9 Million

New York-based florist Lewis Miller is known for his energetic, brightly colored floral creations, and the interiors of his home in Florida are certainly reflective of his imaginative eye, affinty for saturated color, and deft mixing and matching of eye-catching patterns. The artistic dynamo, a.k.a. the “Banksy of floral design,” is the creator of the Flower Flash—an improvisational concept in which everyday items in the public sphere, like garbage cans and phone booths, blossom into living, large-scale works of art.

Miller’s Sunshine State digs at 333 Pilgrim Road in West Palm Beach’s trendy SoSo neighborhood have been hoisted onto the market for a cool $2.9 million with John and Lisa Cregan of Sotheby’s International Realty. The near-century-old Spanish Mediterranean bungalow dates, built in 1926, is being offered up fully furnished, so the next owner will get to keep all of the cool antiques and charming decor. And go figure, there’s not a floral arrangement in sight! Instead, you’ll find tons of leafy greenery and lots of… birds?

The teal-colored library is adorned with a series of ornithological prints hung above the striped sofa.

“I definitely wanted it to feel congruent with Florida and Palm Beach without being typical,” Miller told Palm Beach Illustrated in 2022. “The colors are also unusual with the greens and tobacco. I wanted it to have a masculine vibe, a kind of Ernest Hemingway style. Obviously, I’m a florist, so I love flora and fauna, and I try to incorporate birds in every room to pull in this English country look. It’s a true calico cat, but it feels Palm Beach without being pink and green.”

According to the magazine, Miller bought the spread sight unseen in September 2021; he then put the entire place through a massive renovation. “The proportions were great and so is the overall vibe of the house,” he explained to the New York Post. “I really lucked out on the timing. I bought it in the nick of time. Anything of interest was being snapped up or was priced so high that it wasn’t attainable—and I love a project.” In addition to the three-bedroom main residence, there’s a separate guesthouse containing another couple of bedrooms.

The wood floors in the kitchen are painted in a classic black-and-white checkerboard pattern.

    Flylisted for Sotheby’s International Realty

RELATED: An Instagram Celeb Lists His South Florida House for $4.2 Million

Despite its many updates, the abode still sports a slew of period details, such as a curved staircase, elaborately carved archways, and a wraparound second-floor veranda boasting the original Spanish cement tile. Of course, Miller couldn’t help but add his own flair with hand-painted wood flooring in many rooms, a kitchen sheathed in shimmering emerald green tiles, and a plethora of built-in bookcases. Out back is a petite, grassy yard and a two-story carriage house that holds two self-contained apartments, one on each floor. Both are equipped with living rooms, kitchens, and full baths.

So after all the effort to renovate and decorate, why is Miller parting ways with the West Palm Beach pad after only three years? “As much as I tried to move to Florida, I can’t leave New York,” he told The Post. “I don’t need a house and extra work and chaos. Maybe later. I will probably rent for a while.”

Bravo! Andy Cohen’s Kaleidoscopic Manhattan Duplex Hits the Market for $14 Million

America’s fan-favored Real Housewives reality franchise kicked off in 2006 as the brainchild of then vice president of original programming at Bravo, Andy Cohen. Nearly two decades later and recently dubbed the “king of reality TV” by the Los Angeles Times, Cohen has added a trophy home or two to his portfolio, and now one of them is coming to market.

Housed in a coveted Bing & Bing Bros. building in New York’s West Village, the duplex residence will carry a $14 million price tag when it’s officially listed later this month with Ryan Serhant of SERHANT. The pre-war abode, with close to 3,500 square feet of living space, is a combination of four units, masterfully renovated by interior designer Eric Hughes and architect Gordon Kahn. Cohen originally bought a single unit at the Horatio Street address in 2003 and went on to buy several others across two floors from 2014 to 2021. The highest amount he paid for a unit was in April 2014, when the talk show host dished out $2.5 million, according to property records.

The main living area houses one of two fireplaces.

Three bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus an additional powder room, are filtered across the two-story residence. There are two fireplaces, natural light abounds thanks to its sum of 25 windows that frame panoramic skyline vistas, and, like Cohen, the residence has a cheerful vibe that utilizes a panoply of color, pattern and a playful sense of style throughout. Cohen’s second-floor office, which he refers to as “the Clubhouse,” features a shimmering gold disco ball hanging over the walnut, steel, and glass staircase.

RELATED: This N.Y.C. Apartment Building Was Transformed Into a 6-Floor, $26 Million Single-Family Oasis

Highlights include a decadent, lipstick-red powder room with a vanity for freshening up, as well as a silver leaf-accented cocktail bar with plenty of shelf space for all your favorite spirits, from Clase Azul to Bowmore. Cohen’s primary suite, on the other hand, is comparatively toned down, with cool gray walls that balance out a funky purple rug and over-scaled olive-green and red plaid bed. The attached bath offers dual sinks, a large soaking tub, and a separate shower sheathed in dark blue tiles.

The primary bedroom includes one of the apartment’s two wood-burning fireplaces.

Eytan Stern Weber/Evan Joseph Images/The Stern Weber Studio

Cohen’s decision to sell after more than two decades in residence likely has to do with the father of two having wrapped up renovations on a spacious penthouse, also in the West Village, that he scooped up back in 2022 for $18.2 million. He also maintains a custom-built oceanfront retreat in the Hamptons.

Kate Beckinsale’s Former L.A. Home Can Be Yours for $4.3 Million

Almost three years after Kate Beckinsale offloaded her longtime digs in Los Angeles for around $400,000 more than the $3.6 million she originally paid back in 2006, the Underworld star’s onetime estate has popped up for sale again, this time donning a $4.3 million price tag. The listing is held by Brandon Assanti of The Agency.

Owned by the English-born TV and film actress for 15 years, records show the four-bedroom, five-bath property in the Brentwood neighborhood was last sold to a non-famous couple for just under $4 million in fall 2021 and has since undergone few changes aside from some cosmetic tweaks.

A fireside family room lined with French doors sits adjacent to the dual-island kitchen.

Nestled along a ridge directly above bucolic Mandeville Canyon and separated from the street by a tightly clumped patch of towering trees and an attached two-car garage, the white wood-sided and stone-accented house sports a distinctly Cape Cod, East Coast-esque influence. Inside, a little more than 3,600 square feet of living space is infused with light via banks of glassy French doors. There is a crafty mix of maple and tile floors, as well as high ceilings and plenty of recessed lights.

A front porch topped by a large portico serves as an entry into the home’s open-plan interiors. Among the highlights are a living room anchored by a stone fireplace and an adjoining dining room punctuated by white wainscoting and taupe walls, plus an office/library with built-in bookshelves and additional storage above. Abutting a spacious fireside family room is a gourmet kitchen boasting Carrara marble and solid walnut countertops, dual islands, and stainless appliances.

Upstairs, the charming primary suite is finished in the same sort of traditional decor style as the rest of the property. In addition to a double-sided fireplace and a sky-lit bath, its most unique feature is access to a bridge that passes over the grassy yard below on its way to a hidden hot tub in the woodsy hillside above the house. Elsewhere are three other bedrooms, one of which includes a small loft space accessible by ladder.

An inviting fireside patio is ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining.
