This $8.1 Million Riverfront Mansion in the UK Has Ties to a British TV Host

Charles Allsopp, a former Christie’s chairman and father of British TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp, is moving on from his longtime English country home.

The 6th Baron Hindlip set his sights upon the mid-19th-century farmhouse in Dorset nearly 25 years ago. Known today as Lyddon House, Lord Hinlip lived at the riverfront residence alongside his late interior designer wife, Fiona. Speaking to the Daily Mail, their daughter, Kirstie, recalled what initially drew her parents to the property. “They always wanted a house with water, and when Lyddon House came on the market, they jumped at the chance to buy it,” the Love It or List It UK co-host told the British newspaper. Kirstie also hosts several other reality programs, including Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location.

Kirstie Allsopp’s father, Charles Allsopp, is selling his longtime English country house in Dorset.

    Knight Frank

Today, the comprehensively restored and updated spread is listed with Knight Frank for £6.5 million, or roughly $8 million. It occupies 48 tranquil acres along the River Lyddon and is considered one of Dorset’s finest country houses. Inside the main pad, there are more than 5,600 square feet of living space, with four en-suite bedrooms and all sorts of character features such as sash windows and tall ceilings.

In addition to the three main reception rooms, there’s a dining room, a study, and a kitchen with views towards the garden. One of the modern updates to the historic home is an indoor swimming pool pavilion, which is capped with a glazed roof. Here, you’ll also find a changing room, shower, and sauna.

Lyddon House has been totally renovated and includes an indoor swimming pool.

    Knight Frank

Beyond Lyddon House, the estate includes a converted mill with two reception rooms, a kitchen, three double bedrooms, and a small garden of its own. Guests can also enjoy a two-bedroom apartment known as The Cottage, positioned above the garage and stables. The grounds are equally impressive, with an on-site orchard, three large ponds, a greenhouse, and a sprawling horse pasture.

It’s no wonder Lord Hinlip fell in love.

Halsey Buys a Spanish Colonial Revival Classic in Los Angeles

You could say Halsey is on a real estate roll. Three months ago, the “Without Me” singer sold her lavish estate near Calabasas for nearly $12 million; almost immediately following that, she paid $700,000 over the asking price for a gem of a house in Laurel Canyon. Now she’s done it again — dropping an impressive $5 million on an impeccably restored Spanish Colonial Revival house in Los Feliz.

Located almost directly across the street from one of the most popular Griffith Park entrance points, the house was built in the late 1920s for restaurateur and civic reformer Clifford Clinton and designed by architect Arthur W. Larson. In 2011, the longtime Clinton family was awarded Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument status.

Although it’s located on a very busy roadway, the nearly 6,000-square-foot house sits behind tall fences and stucco-clad walls. Inside, a coffered wood front door opens to a magnesite-tiled foyer, to the right of which is a formal living room featuring a grand fireplace, a stained glass picture window, coffered ceilings, and French doors that lead to a tiled veranda. To the left of the foyer is a formal dining room with coved ceilings, another stained glass picture window, and peg and groove hardwood floors.

Across the hallway is an stylish office that showcases a curved fireplace, hand-stenciled ceilings, gorgeous woodwork, leaded-glass windows, and coat-of-arms sconces. Further down the hall is the butler’s pantry with wood countertops, an original zinc sink, and original Deco tile in robin’s egg blue, the kitchen, outfitted with a snazzy La Cornue range and a refurbished original Frigidaire refrigerator, and a sunny magnesite-tiled breakfast room.

Upstairs are four bedroom suites with glorious original-tile baths in a variety of hues, built-in vanities, and “wedding cake” ornamental plaster. Also on this floor are multiple cedar closet, including one containing a very early version of a fire extinguisher, a sunroom, and multiple Juliet balconies offering city views. The sprawling home also has a plush home theater with a starry-night-sky ceiling and seating for six.

Exterior amenities include an colorfully-tiled swimming pool, a sun deck, a bath house, a dining pavilion, and a three-car garage. Halsey also scored a deal on the property, securing the 0.34-acre estate for $800,000 under the $5.8 million asking price. More

The ‘God Is a Bullet’ Producer Is Selling His All-New East Coast Traditional House in L.A.

Back in spring 2020, Michael Mendelsohn doled out $1.7 million for an early 1900s residence in Los Angeles. He then took it down to the studs, and spent the next three years completely remodeling and expanding the place.

Now the Tinseltown producer—probably best known for the movies Reservoir Dogs, Lord of War, Cut Throat City, and most recently, God is a Bullet starring Jamie Foxx—has decided to try his hand at selling the newly reborn East Coast Traditional-style digs in Hollywood Hills with a significant jump in price, asking a speck under $4.3 million.

Tucked away behind walls and gates, on less than a quarter-acre parcel within walking distance of Runyon Canyon, the wood-sided structure features a little more than 3,500 square feet of modern living space on two levels accented throughout with marble finishes and herringbone wood floors.

Per the listing, held by Angel Kou of The Agency and Taryn Keyser of Compass, there’s also a separate guesthouse with its own living area, kitchen and bath that could easily serve as an office or a studio.

A gourmet kitchen connects to a fireside family room, which has glass doors opening to a terrace.

Especially standing out on the main level is a gourmet kitchen decked out with an eat-in island, top-tier Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, and a walk-in pantry. An adjoining family room displays a fireplace flanked by built-in shelving, along with glass doors spilling out to a covered terrace ideal for al fresco entertaining with a built-in barbecue. Elsewhere is a living room boasting a brick fireplace, an office space and a chandelier-topped dining room.

Five bedrooms include an upstairs master retreat outfitted with a fireplace, private balcony and walk-in closet, plus a luxe bath equipped with dual vanities, a freestanding soaking tub and glass-encased shower. Outdoors, the secluded backyard hosts a herb garden, as well as a sparkling pool and spa lined with waterfalls on one side and a sundeck on the other.

Mary Tyler Moore’s Bucolic Connecticut Retreat Could Be Yours for $22 Million

If you’ve always wanted to turn the world on with a smile, this Connecticut compound could be just the ticket! As first reported by The Wall Street Journal, the picturesque 7-acre spread long owned by the late TV and film actress Mary Tyler Moore has just popped up for sale in the coastal town of Greenwich, asking nearly $22 million.

Records show the beloved star of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and her husband, Dr. S. Robert Levine, paid around $10 million back in 2006 for the property, which is showcased by a Georgian Colonial-style house boasting five bedrooms and nine baths in nearly 14,000 square feet of living space accented throughout with dentil molding, bay windows, Venetian plaster walls, wood-beam ceilings and numerous fireplaces. There’s also a guest apartment resting atop an attached three-car garage.

Built over a century ago, but extensively renovated and expanded during the couple’s tenure in collaboration with architect Stephen Wang, the fieldstone-clad structure features an elevator to all three levels, a double-height solarium, laundry room sporting a dog shower and grooming station, and gym equipped with a spa, sauna, and massage and steam rooms.

Some of the solarium’s windows include stained glass culled from churches and synagogues.

Daniel Milstein for Sotheby’s International Realty

Other highlights include an entry foyer displaying harlequin-patterned floors, a curving staircase and wall of windows, as well as formal living and dining rooms, an office with its own powder room and a wood-paneled billiard room/library outfitted with built-in bookcases. A “comfortably scaled” kitchen with an eat-in island and high-end stainless appliances connects to a breakfast nook and family room, which has French doors spilling out to an al fresco dining patio.

Secluded in its own upstairs wing is a 2,000-square-foot master retreat complete with dual walk-in closets and luxe baths; and outdoors, the Janice Parker-landscaped grounds are laced with stone terraces and bordered by 5 acres of conservation land, and host a pond and 65-foot pool flanked by a fireplace.

According to WSJ, Levine is selling because it’s necessary for him to move on after the death of his wife, who passed away in 2017 at age 80. “If I’m going to step into my ‘what next?’,” he said, “I decided I have to step away from the house.” The retired cardiologist also told the news outlet that a portion of the proceeds from the sale will go to the Mary Tyler Moore Vision Initiative, a foundation that works to preserve and restore vision in people with diabetes.

The listing is held by Joseph Barbieri of Sotheby’s International Realty-Greenwich Brokerage.

Lionel Messi Just Scored a Chic Waterfront Mansion in South Florida

Lionel Messi continues to claim his South Florida turf! Not only does the professional footballer already own at least three multimillion-dollar condos in the Miami suburb of Sunny Isles Beach, but now he’s acquired a modern waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale’s affluent and guard-gated Bay Colony community.

The latest splurge comes amid the signing of Messi’s new two-and-a-half-year, $150 million contract with MLS club Inter Miami CF, which is partly owned by David Beckham. The 36-year-old forward—a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, a trophy given annually to the world’s best player—is coming off a stellar 17-year run with FC Barcelona and two-year stint with Paris Saint-Germaine FC, and he also led his native Argentina to an exciting 4-2 victory against France in the 2022 World Cup last December.

As first reported by The Real Deal, the soccer star and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo doled out $10.75 million in an off-market deal for a luxe two-story home just minutes away from Inter Miami’s Drive Pink Stadium and the team’s adjacent training facility in Fort Lauderdale. Messi was repped in the deal by Samuel Simpkin and Donna Simpkin of Team Simpkin at Compass.

Built in 1988, and last sold to John and Stacy Dickerson for $9 million in May 2022, the property features eight bedrooms and 10 baths in over 10,500 square feet of living space. Described in an older listing as a “carefully curated modern waterfront estate,” the two-story structure includes walls of glass that open to a sparkling pool with a waterfall, Baja shelf and spa, as well as a pair of docks resting along 170 feet of waterfront footage on the Intracoastal Waterway.

The home’s Lori Morris-designed interiors are punctuated throughout with a classic black and white palette enhanced with pops of metal and jewel tones for warmth.

    Brandon Barre

Nestled amid a cul-de-sac, on a nearly half-acre parcel laced with palms, the stucco and wood-trimmed structure greets with a spacious motorcourt flanked by an attached three-car garage. An entryway featuring double front doors opens into sleek Lori Morris-designed interiors punctuated throughout with a classic black and white palette flaunting porcelain tile floors, plus pops of metal and jewel tones to add warmth.

Among the highlights: a striking foyer topped by a cascading Murano glass and gold light fixture, which flows to a sunken living area boasting black velvet channel wall panels. Adjacent is an Italian kitchen adorned with an eat-in island that seats six, top-tier appliances and an accompanying breakfast nook lined with windows.

Elsewhere is a cozy family room with a custom built-in day bed and sofa with matching wall panels covered in charcoal velvet, fitness/spa room, and an executive office with walls bathed in black and brown striated wallpaper; and there’s also a 1,600-square-foot master retreat sporting “gold dripping wallpaper,” a sitting area, private balcony, and spa-inspired bath decked out with dual vanities, a makeup area and walk-in steam shower.

As for Messi’s other Sunny Isles Beach properties, records show he owns at least two units valued at a combined $10.3 million within the 60-story Porsche Design Tower, along with a $7.4 million full-floor condo at the Regalia building. He also reportedly purchased a place in the Bentley Residences building, which is set to be completed in 2026.

Simon Cowell’s Former Beverly Hills Estate Sells for Nearly $34 Million

Back in summer 2020, near the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Simon Cowell sold his longtime Beverly Hills main residence for exactly $25 million. Three years later, the nearly 1-acre property has made real estate waves once again, transferring in another off-market deal for a whopping $33.6 million — one of the priciest deals ever closed south of Sunset Boulevard, in the so-called Beverly Hills Flats neighborhood. The latest transaction was first reported by The Real Deal.

The unapologetically lavish property, which boasts a sublime location on the best block of a prestigious street, was acquired by Cowell way back in 2004 for just $8 million. The all-around mogul subsequently spent five years — and undoubtedly many millions of dollars — transforming the place into a high-tech fortress packed with custom amenities, including a wellness center and a million-dollar security system.

Cowell sold the property in 2020 by Alon Abady, a Beverly Hills local who is managing partner at Waterfall Bridge Capital, a commercial and residential real estate investment firm. Abady, 53, flipped the estate at a substantial profit to Syailendra Bakrie, a businessman and member of one of Indonesia’s wealthiest families. Earlier this year, the 43-year-old’s younger sister Adinda Bakrie paid $21 million for a contemporary mansion elsewhere in the Beverly Hills Flats.

Because the Cowell estate has never been publicly offered on the market, some of its various interior accouterments remain a mystery. But the “America’s Got Talent” judge had the property photographed and published many times over the years, and the traditional-meets-contemporary residential fusion boasts a black-and-white interior motif enhanced by copious amounts of marble and glass. There are at least five bedrooms and eight baths in nearly 10,000 square feet of living space.

Some of the property’s numerous amenities include a solarium, movie theater, lap-lane swimming pool, pool cabana with a retractable roof, an at-home tanning salon, a state-of-the-art gym, two kitchens, and that wellness suite with spa and massage facilities, plus a steam room. For the hired help, there are maid’s and butler’s quarters, and a security detail can monitor the premises through the world-class security system, which includes retina scan authorization.

Outside, the estate includes a sparkling pool, a detached pool house/guesthouse of some sort, verdant lawns, mature palm trees and a street-facing façade obscured by gorgeous native sycamores. A gated courtyard has parking space for at least a half-dozen luxury vehicles.

Fully customized by Cowell, the nearly 10,000-square-foot house includes a bevy of high-tech amenities. More

Exclusive: Aman New York Is Opening Its Private Residences for Overnight Stays. Here’s a Look Inside.

The hyper-luxury vacation rental market now meets a five-star hotel at the corner of New York’s Fifth Avenue and 57th Street. At Aman New York, two of its ultra-swanky private residences are now available for short-term and extended stays, and Robb Report got an exclusive peek inside.

Aman New York, which made its debut last summer inside Manhattan’s historic Crown Building, is offering the opportunity to reserve either a one- or three-bedroom apartment from its collection, and the kicker is that you can stay as long as you like. In addition to its 83 hotel suites, the Midtown property contains 22 fully-serviced Aman Residences, all designed by Belgian architect-designer Jean-Michel Gathy. Only two of the private residences are currently available to reserve, but additional apartments are slated to be released in 2024.

“The introduction of Homes at Aman New York is the next phase of the evolution of our flagship destination in the West,” Vlad Doronin, chairman and CEO of Aman, tells Robb Report. “By offering our guests a new accommodation type, which are from within our 22 private branded residences, we have elevated the experience to another level for those traveling in larger groups, staying with us for longer, or who are seeking the utmost privacy. The way it works is pretty simple. Owners of the 22 private residences can enter their residence into Aman New York’s rental program, and guests can book the property for however long they need. The private residences on offer are located between floors 15 and 30, above the hotel suites, and are accessed via dedicated elevators.

Guests can reserve either a one-bedroom apartment or a three-bedroom residence.

Those who opt for the 1,150-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment will find floor-to-ceiling windows with cityscape views. And for those who need more room to roam, the three-bedroom spread clocks in at 3,710 square feet and overlooks Central Park. Both residences have open-plan living and dining areas accompanied by fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities, and working fireplaces. They’re also decked out with blackened steel accents, tons of bespoke millwork, and sumptuous swaths of neutral-colored fabrics that align with Aman’s serene, contemporary aesthetic.

Of course, guests will be getting way more out of their stay than just a cashmere-blanketed nest to rest their heads in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Perks include a personal butler and a complimentary house car for chauffeured drop-offs, plus access to the three-floor Aman Spa and the hotel’s two signature restaurants.

Of course, all this at one of the world’s most exclusive hotel and residence developments does not come cheap: the three-bedroom residence starts at $30,000 per night.

Gisele Bündchen Just Picked up Another South Florida Home

She already owns a contemporary $11.5 million Miami Beach residence in the exclusive Indian Creek Country Club community known as “Billionaire Bunker”— just a short jaunt via boat across the waterway from ex-husband Tom Brady’s unfinished $27 million Miami Beach megamansion. But now Gisele Bündchen has added yet another home to her South Florida property portfolio.

As first reported by The Wall Street Journal, an entity tied to the Brazilian supermodel has forked over $9.1 million for a roughly 7.5-acre spread in Broward County’s affluent Southwest Ranches neighborhood on the eastern edge of the Florida Everglades, just 15 miles southwest of Fort Lauderdale. According to the news outlet, she plans to convert the dwelling into an “animal-friendly property,” complete with horses, chickens and other farm critters

Last sold to a Mexico-born family in November 2013 for $1.65 million, the home has been on and off the market for several years, and also was offered for rent—once for as much as $75,000 per month. After returning to the market this past August for $10.5 million, the house ultimately went to Bündchen at a significant discount.

Built in 1976, Bündchen’s new digs have since been extensively renovated. Described in the listing as “a true gem,” the two-story structure features nine bedrooms and an equal number of baths in nearly 5,200 square feet of living space boasting high ceilings and open-concept interiors. There’s also a separate two-bedroom apartment.

The open-concept main level contains a fireside living room, dining area and gourmet kitchen.

    Eric Igualada/ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

Highlights include an expansive great room spotlighted by a floating staircase and fireside living area. A dining space connects to the gourmet kitchen, which is outfitted with Calacatta quartz countertops, an oversized eat-in island, an integrated refrigerator and oven, and a built-in bar. Elsewhere is a master on the main holding a sitting area, “fantastic” walk-in closet, and luxe bath with dual vanities, a soaking tub and glassy shower.

Outdoors, the grounds host an infinity-edge pool and spa with fountains, a tennis court, full-size soccer pitch, sport court, two equestrian rings, a barn with 10 horse stalls, kitchen and barbecue setup, and a couple of pergolas ideal for lounging and entertaining. There’s also a two-car garage.

Brady, and Bündchen were married in 2009 and share three children—a son Benjamin, and daughter Vivian, along with another son Jack from Brady’s previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan. Worth a combined fortune in the hundreds of millions of dollars, the couple’s property portfolio includes homes in the Bahamas and Montana, as well as a New York City apartment where Bündchen had been staying during their split. She also retains a Costa Rica vacation home.

The listing was held by Chad Bishop and Saddy Abaunza Delgado of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty; Laura Valente with Global Luxury Realty LLC repped the buyer.
