Stevie Wonder Once Called This SoCal Estate Home. Now It Can Be Yours for $15 Million.

If you’ve always wanted to live like a legendary singer and songwriter with countless hits and awards under his belt, now’s your chance. The sprawling SoCal estate where Stevie Wonder resided with his family for over a decade has just popped up for sale in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas, asking $15 million. The listing, which is also available for rent at $65,000 a month, is shared by Branden Williams, Rayni Williams, Dennis DeWalt, and Brandon Meneses of The Beverly Hills Estates.

Wonder purchased the home in October 2000 for nearly $2.9 million for his then-soon-to-be wife, clothing designer Kai Millard (Milla) Morris. Though the I Just Called to Say I Love You crooner moved out after their 2012 divorce, she has remained in the residence ever since and is now selling because their two sons are grown, according to The Wall Street Journal.

A music room holds Wonder’s rare Bösendorfer piano, which is not included in the sale.

Built in 1992 and recently renovated, the white stucco and terracotta-roof structure is tucked away on a nearly three-acre hillside parcel within the exclusive gated Hidden Hills West neighborhood. Six bedrooms and an equal number of baths are spread across more than 11,100 square feet of three-level living space that boasts the same acoustically ideal, high ceilings the 25-time Grammy-winning musician enjoyed while practicing and singing tunes with his family.

Upon entering the massive pivoting wood front door, a double-height marble entry foyer displaying a spiral staircase flows to a formal fireside dining room topped by a pendant ring-shaped light fixture. Other highlights include a family room sporting a trio of picture windows, a wet bar, and wine storage, plus a gourmet kitchen decked out with chevron-patterned parquet wood floors, custom cabinetry, a book-matched marble eat-in island, and top-notch Miele and Sub-Zero appliances.

A freeform pool and spillover spa are bordered by a sundeck surrounded by landscaped gardens.

Holding court upstairs is an office with a marble fireplace and gold-leaf chandelier, along with a junior primary suite that has its own living room. A spacious primary suite comes with dual seating areas divided by a two-way fireplace, a private balcony, a bespoke walk-in closet, and a luxe bath spotlighted by a steam room and an infrared sauna.

Elsewhere is a lower level holding an en suite guest bedroom and a butler’s kitchen. A living room connects to a dedicated piano room, which has glass doors spilling out to picturesque grounds hosting a grassy lawn and a freeform pool with a spillover spa. Out front, an attached four-car garage and a cobblestone motor court are accessible via a gated driveway.

The 74-year-old Michigan-born musician, who married Tomeeka Robyn Bracy in 2017, maintains a substantial real estate portfolio. There’s a handful of homes and commercial properties across L.A., including a house in the Hollywood Hills, as well as a big house in Alpine, N.J., and his childhood home in Detroit.

David Spade’s Former Malibu Home Is Up for Rent at $59,000 Per Month

Richard Saghian has long been active on the SoCal real estate scene, where he’s known for investing in ultra-luxe properties. Back in 2022, the founder and CEO of the apparel juggernaut Fashion Nova famously doled out $141 million at auction for The One megamansion in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles. Less than a year later, though he already owned an oceanfront residence in Malibu, he splashed out another $40 million in an all-cash deal for a larger home along ritzy Carbon Beach. Now he’s hoisted his first Malibu home, this one on coveted La Costa Beach, on the rental market, asking a hefty $59,000 per month.

With four bedrooms and an equal number of baths spread across almost 3,800 square feet of fully furnished living space on two levels, the coastal spread offers more than enough room for any like-minded billionaire to relax in complete comfort and style. Saghian purchased the property from Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos and his wife Nicole Avant in spring 2021 for a speck over $14.7 million in cash, which is $4.5 million more than the couple paid comedian and actor David Spade for the place in 2013.

The glass-lined living and dining area steps up to a cozy family room.

Saghian’s newly listed rental is secured from bustling Pacific Coast Highway behind a two-car garage and a gated entry that opens into a brick courtyard accented by a stone Buddha fountain and flowering bougainvillea plants. There’s also a dark-bottom plunge pool and a cabana that’s equipped with a seated bar. Originally built in 1996, the Mediterranean-influenced villa underwent an extensive renovation during Spade’s ownership, complete with dark hardwood floors, high ceilings, and multiple sets of arched glass French doors spilling out to an expansive oceanside deck ideal for alfresco lounging and entertaining.

The quarter-acre property is centered around a brick courtyard hosting a dark-bottom plunge pool.

Main-level highlights include a combined living and dining area with a fireplace and steps leading up to a cozy family room, as well as an adjacent kitchen outfitted with top-tier Viking appliances and a breakfast bar. A sky-lit staircase heads upstairs, where a fireside primary suite boasts a balcony, a separate den/office, and a spa-inspired bath spotlighted by a large oval soaking tub.

The rental listing, which includes a onetime $118,000 security deposit, is held by Branden Williams and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates and Stuart Vetterick of Westside Estate Agency.
