This $19.4 Million Miami Beach Condo Was Designed With Eye-Catching Artistic Flair

“One of a kind” is a term that gets bandied about a lot, but the late Broadway producer Luigi Caiola’s condo in Miami Beach truly lives up to the too-often hyperbolic term.

Records show Caiola and his partner Sean McGill acquired two high-floor units in one of the towers at the Continuum South Beach, the first in 2009 for $1.85 million and a neighboring unit for $3.6 million in 2018. Designer Joe Nahem of the esteemed firm Fox-Nahem was then brought in to merge the two spaces into one wildly creative space that vibrates with color, pattern, and texture.

A real estate developer and New York property magnate, Caiola co-founded Caiola Productions with his sister Rose, and together they developed more than 50 Broadway productions, earning eight Tony Awards for works including Dear Evan Hansen, The Color Purple, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and The Inheritance. Now, nearly two years after he died, the late producer’s singular, ocean-view aerie in South Florida has been put on the market for $19.39 million. Bill Hernandez and Bryan Sereny at Douglas Elliman hold the listing.

Structural columns are wrapped in chrome or embellished with mosaic tiles.

    LuxHunters Productions

Known for his attention to detail and curatorial prowess, Nahem enlisted an army of artists and craftspeople to infuse every corner of the 3,700-square-foot space with creative flair. The visual spectacle begins at the entrance, where Studio Hoon Kim designed a molded resin tunnel splashed with camouflage-like splotches of color that connects the foyer and the 50-foot-long living/dining room. Tactile fabrics and organic shapes and materials effectively ground the vast living and dining room, which feels like it’s floating on the Atlantic Ocean thanks to vast expanses of floor-to-ceiling windows.

In the dining area, hand-carved wooden panels by Tennessee-based artisan Caleb Woodard depict abstract botanical forms that slither up onto the ceiling, and the trapezoidal kitchen sits on the interior of the apartment without any windows, so operable vertical louvers were installed to either conceal or expose the playfully outré kitchen, with its sea-anemone-inspired chandelier by Pia Maria Raeder and wooden cabinets embellished with huge pastel-colored aluminum pulls.

The botanical-themed wood screen was carved by Tennessee-based artisan Caleb Woodard.

    LuxHunters Productions

A niche off the living area holds a dry bar backed by brick-shaped tiles in iridescent jewel tones, while the powder room is an ethereal space that evokes being under the water with a shell-encrusted vanity and walls covered in shimmering mother-of-pearl tiles.

There are a total of four bedrooms (plus a den illuminated with a skylight-like installation created by Nathan Orsman) and five and a half bathrooms, each with a bold, unique style and innovative tile scheme. One guest bedroom is decked out with a deep gemstone-colored ceiling, while the primary bedroom goes for extra cozy with a coral reef–inspired headboard and custom rug by Portuguese ecological textile artist Vanessa Barragão and Mondrian-esque stained glass walls that enclose the bathroom.

Textile artist Vanessa Barragão introduced a neutral-hued coral reef motif in the main bedroom.

    LuxHunters Productions

Included in the sale are a separate guest or staff suite and two assigned parking spots in the on-site garage. The 26th-floor condo has monthly common charges of just over $9,000 a month (with another $135,000-plus in annual tax), for which the Continuum, at the southern tip of South Beach, provides 24-hour security, an attended lobby, two swimming pools, a fitness center, a children’s play area, three clay tennis courts, and an outdoor restaurant.

Former ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ Star Nicole Martin Drops $34 Million on a Coral Gables Mansion

Insurance attorney Anthony Lopez and anesthesiologist Dr. Nicole Martin, a former cast member on The Real Housewives of Miami, aren’t exactly strangers to big-ticket real estate deals, and the Miami power couple just sealed the deal for a $34 million waterfront spread in Coral Gables. It’s every bit as over the top as you’d imagine.

The estate is one of only 14 in the ultra-exclusive, guard-gated Gables Estates enclave, which faces Biscayne Bay. The Lopez-Martins’ new digs stretch across 225 feet of pristine shoreline, open views over the water, and plenty of space to park the yacht.

Built in 2004, the home has already seen some notable names pass through its doors. It was previously owned by Miami Heat legend Alonzo Mourning, who purchased it back in 2005 when he returned to play for the team after a short stint with the New Jersey Nets.

The estate combines all the bells and whistles that make daily living comfortable and resort-like. At the heart of the home is a chef’s kitchen with custom cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances, while a sprawling, temperature-controlled wine cellar with capacity for more than 2,700 bottles is a showstopper for serious collectors. Other highlights include two home offices, a game and entertainment room, and a fully equipped gym.

The couple’s new home doesn’t skimp on function, either; there’s an elevator, a four-car garage, and, essential for life in hurricane country, impact-resistant windows and doors and a full-house generator.

The expansive, light-filled living areas flow easily out to a backyard dialed in for Miami living. Expect wide terraces for lounging, a summer kitchen for long dinners under the stars, a pool that sits just steps from the bay, and a private dock and boat lift.

This isn’t the Lopez-Martins’ first high-profile Miami move. Just weeks ago, they sold their fully reimagined Old Cutler Bay estate in a record-breaking off-market deal valued at $40 million. The buyer was none other than British pop star Robbie Williams, who is relocating with his family to South Florida. Lopez and Martin had picked up the property only a few years earlier, in 2022, for $21.5 million and spent two years gut-renovating it, doubling their investment in the process.

That sale follows a string of headline-making deals for the couple, including a $44 million transaction with Jeff Bezos’s mother in 2022. Now, with their latest buy in Gables Estates, they’ve secured one of Miami’s most coveted waterfront addresses—and cemented their reputation as serious players in the city’s white-hot ultra-luxury real estate market.

The Owner of Mango’s Tropical Café Is Selling His Secluded Florida Sanctuary for $19 Million

David Wallack, the charismatic owner behind South Beach’s iconic Mango’s Tropical Café, has listed his verdant hideaway in the unincorporated area of Redland, about 28 miles (and potentially a two-plus-hour drive with traffic) southwest of South Beach, for $19 million. Represented by Lynna Weil and Darin Tansey of Douglas Elliman, the 14-acre compound dubbed Breezy Oaks offers a fusion of ecology and off-the-grid tranquility.

“Breezy Oaks is more than a retreat—it’s a private resort oasis,” says Wallack. “The moment you pass through the gates, you’re transported into a tropical paradise, where crystal-clear grottoes teem with tilapia, koi, and cichlids, and white sand beaches invite total relaxation. At night, the soothing sounds of cascading waterfalls create a truly transcendental sleep experience.”

The property has three grottos with coral artwork by the late stone landscaper Ben Bistrong.

    Immersive Media Solutions

Tucked among a Florida pine preserve, at the heart of Breezy Oaks are three naturally filtered freshwater grottos fed by the Floridan aquifer, one of the largest groundwater systems in the U.S. The shimmering pools are ringed with coral installations by the late Miami-based artist and stone landscaper Benjamin Bistrong—his final opus before passing in 2014. Think: nature meets sculpture garden meets spa day.

Wander past the grottos, and you’ll encounter fruit-laden mango, lime, and lemon trees, plus a very industrious bee colony turning out fresh honey on-site. The existing 3,362-square-foot home—featuring three bedrooms and three baths—is more functional than fantasy. Let’s call it a humble ranch house or just a placeholder while you dream up your future estate.

There’s a simple three-bedroom house on the secluded property.

    Immersive Media Solutions

The property is currently zoned for residential and agricultural use, but there’s potential to have it rezoned for commercial purposes. The seller has another 29-acre parcel in nearby Homestead that is also available for another $3 million.

In a region known for glittering high-rises and beachside mansions, South Florida is seeing a quiet but notable shift: a growing appetite for large land parcels. Though increasingly rare and often hard to come by, these expansive properties are drawing interest from buyers seeking space and privacy. Just ask Jeff Bezos, who recently scooped up multiple homes on Miami’s ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Island, with his total spend topping $234 million. Similarly, the sale of the $150 million Tarpon Island estate in Palm Beach highlights the premium placed on sizable, exclusive properties. This private island, featuring a nearly 24,000-square-foot mansion with extensive amenities, was acquired by Australian investor Michael Dorrell, marking a record for non-oceanfront deals in the area.

A fintech mogul is logging out of his South Florida home.

Bill Roy, the founder and CEO of BlockGen, is parting ways with his ocean-view Miami Beach condominium. Known for his expertise in financial technology, Roy’s career has taken him from roles as a lead mortgage banking analyst at Merrill Lynch to a portfolio manager at Arco Investments. He later launched the private equity firm JAM Partners before founding BlockGen, a company dedicated to transforming mortgage technology with its LoanPASS system.

Now, Roy is selling his lavish, gut-renovated residence at the Continuum, at the southern tip of South Beach, for $25.9 million with Eddy Martinez and Roland Ortiz with The Worldwide Group at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, along with Natalia Gryczynska of Hilton & Hilton.

According to The Real Deal, Roy dropped $12.1 million on the two-unit combination condo back in 2021—about half of what he’s currently seeking. Spanning 4,776 square feet, the 28th-floor spread offers three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, with panoramic views to the east and southwest, showcasing both sunrises over the turquoise waters and dramatic sunsets over the city skyline. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the home is offered fully turnkey, with a selection of high-end furnishings by B&B Italia and Minotti, curated by Gallerie Noire.

The open, sun-flooded layout includes a formal salon with an oceanfront bar, multiple lounges, and a formal dining area. European wide-plank wood floors, custom LED-lit millwork, and architectural lighting add to the contemporary sophistication. The chef’s kitchen, equipped with Wolf appliances, includes Viola marble counters, brass accents, and a large island with an integrated snack bar. A wall of windows connects to a rotunda balcony that’s perfect for entertaining.

Elsewhere, the sky-high pad is decked out with a media room, family room, and office, as well as two private entrance lobbies, plus a staff entrance and dual laundry areas.

Located within Continuum’s 13-acre oceanfront enclave, the residence’s $5,714 per month association fee—not to mention an annual tax bill of about a quarter million dollars—provides residents and guests access to a slate of world-class amenities, including a beach club, private restaurant, tennis courts, expansive fitness center, and swanky on-site med-spa.

An Opulent Miami Mansion Once Rented by Marc Anthony Can Now Be Yours for $19.5 Million

If this tropical South Florida estate looks fit for a salsa superstar, that’s because it is. According to listing agents Saddy Abaunza Delgado and Valeria Kelly with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, Grammy-winning artist Marc Anthony once leased the palatial Coral Gables property that’s now up for sale for a speck under $20 million. Records show the stately mansion near Miami has been on and off the rental market since at least 2011 with asking prices ranging from $29,000 to a whopping $45,000 per month. The last time it was listed on the open market in 2017, the digs were seeking a cool $7.5 million.

Nestled within the guard-gated Tahiti Beach Island in Cocoplum, a neighborhood known for housing stars such as Cher, Shaggy, and NBA Hall-of-Famer Ray Allen, the grand residence takes after the work of 16th-century Venetian architect Andrea Palladio. Merging the classical with the modern, the 9,440-square-foot home features soaring double-height ceilings, both marble and oak flooring, and a recently renovated chef’s kitchen that’s decked out with granite countertops, plus a butler’s pantry for extra storage.

The living room has a trio of massive arched windows that extend to the double-height coffered ceiling.

    1 OAK Studios

Altogether, the airy abode comprises six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms across its two floors. It also has a media room, a private gym, and a finished basement space that can be used as a game area. Outdoors, a heated in-ground swimming pool, a lounge area, and a barbecue station are positioned around a landscaped lot that’s just shy of an acre.

While not technically a private island, the buzzy Tahiti Beach enclave has just one entrance and consists of less than 30 homes, more than half of them with direct water frontage, as well as a residents-only beach with no public access. The community itself offers tons of leisure amenities such as a private club and clubhouse. You’ll also find multiple tennis courts, a yacht club, and 24-hour security.

There’s a fireplace and ornate crown moldings.

    1 OAK Studios

In addition to renting, Anthony owned another waterfront estate in Coral Gables’s Cocoplum neighborhood, which he purchased in 2018 for $19 million from rum heiress Hilda Maria Bacardi. Dubbed Villa Costanera, the house had 12 bedrooms, three kitchens, a wine cellar, and a 100-foot boat dock. Three years later, the Latin crooner offloaded the Mediterranean-inspired spread to investor John Curtius for $22.4 million after initially listing it for $27 million in 2020.

Hedge Funder Dan Loeb Just Sold His Waterfront Miami Beach Mansion for $35.5 Million

Four years ago, Dan Loeb forked over $20 million for a modern mansion overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami Beach. Late last year, the East Coast-based founder and CEO of the hedge fund Third Point hoisted the property back on the market for $45 million. The price was subsequently reduced to $41.5 million before it was removed from the market this past June. Now records show a newly incorporated LLC named after the home’s exclusive North Bay Road address has stepped up to the plate, with the estate now under contract to be sold for $35.5 million.

That’s around $10 million less than Loeb originally wanted for the palatial pad, but it’s still $15 million more than he paid spec developer Peter Fine for the place in late 2020 before he invested some $10 million in upgrading the kitchen, millwork, and lighting. The listing was held by Danny and Jill Hertzberg of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker; David Solomon of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty repped the buyer.

Indoor-outdoor living spaces are front and center throughout the bay-view home.

Sequestered amid a walled and gated parcel spanning over a half-acre near the La Gorce Country Club, the architectural residence was designed by Choeff Levy Fischman. There are seven bedrooms and 12 baths in almost 14,000 square feet of living space on two levels accessible via a floating staircase and an elevator. Posh amenities include an office, a wine cellar, a wet bar-equipped screening/game room, a gym that flows to an outdoor yoga platform, and a massive roof deck providing bay and city skyline views, as well as an attached three-car garage and a dock resting along 100 feet of water footage.

Among the other standout features are spacious living areas sporting floor-to-ceiling pocketing glass doors spilling outside, along with a formal dining room and a sleek gourmet kitchen outfitted with two islands, Wolf appliances, and an accompanying breakfast nook. An opulent primary suite is decked out with a seating area, a balcony, and dual walk-in closets and baths, while a separate two-bedroom guest wing has its own entrance.

Rounding it all out are the palm-laced grounds, which host a mosaic-tiled pool and spa abutting a sundeck and an open-air cabana equipped with a seated bar and a built-in barbecue.

California-born Loeb, whose personal wealth is estimated at around $3.3 billion, told the Miami Herald when he first listed the vacation getaway that he is selling because he wants to focus on his primary New York residence, which is in a particularly coveted area of East Hampton. Records show he also maintains a huge penthouse in a top Manhattan building that he picked up more than 15 years ago for just under $46 million.

American Eagle CEO’s Oceanfront South Florida Penthouse Hits the Market for $34 Million

After a lengthy tenure, Jay Schottenstein has decided to relinquish ownership of his South Florida home on the Miami-area barrier island of Key Biscayne. Records show the billionaire American Eagle Outfitters chairman and CEO is asking a speck under $34 million for his sprawling penthouse at the exclusive beachfront Grand Bay Tower development, with the listing jointly held by Brigitte Nachtigall of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and Ohad Fisherman of the Fisherman Group.

Property records show Schottenstein and his wife Jeanie initially paid $5 million for a penthouse atop the 14-story structure in 2007 and subsequently picked up a neighboring penthouse for an undisclosed amount. They then spent the next five years combining the two units, which comprise the northeast and southeast corners of the building.

‘Real Housewives of Miami’ Alum Lea Black Relists a Waterfront Miami Beach Home for $37.5 Million

Around nine years after it first hit the market with a nearly $18 million price tag, Lea and Roy Black’s sprawling waterfront mansion on Miami Beach’s guard-gated Star Island enclave overlooking Biscayne Bay has once again popped up for sale.

On and off the market since 2015 with prices ranging from $15 million to $40 million—and also floated as a rental for as much as $150,000 per month—the former Real Housewives of Miami star and her attorney husband are now seeking nearly $38 million for the one-acre spread they picked up in spring 2011 for $7.1 million and initially planned to renovate. The listing is shared by Saddy Abaunza Delgado of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and Elena and Stefano Iturriaga of London Real Estate Company.

The hacienda-style home is tucked between the island’s single bridge and a multimillion-dollar mansion currently under construction.

LuxHunters for ONE Sotheby’s International Realty

Built in the early 1980s and resting amid a one-acre pie-shaped parcel that flares out to the bay, the premises include a main home fronted by a circular motor court bolstered by a tiered fountain, along with a separate guesthouse—for a total of nine bedrooms and 12 baths in a little more than 9,700 square feet. There’s also a recently added swimming pool and an attached four-car garage, plus a private 60-foot dock resting along 180 feet of water frontage.

Though interior photos are scarce, likely due to the abode’s decidedly dated state, previous online reports show a 10-seat movie theater, a sauna, and an office space. Other highlights include a voluminous living area sporting a fireplace and wood-trimmed French doors opening to a bar-equipped veranda, as well as a formal dining room and a kitchen featuring an eat-in island, Viking and Sub-Zero appliances, and an accompanying breakfast nook. The primary retreat comes with a marble-clad bath boasting dual vanities and a built-in soaking tub.

The one-acre property hosts a whimsical pirate-themed treehouse for kids.

The Black’s estate at 45 Star Island joins Rosie O’Donnell’s former mansion listed for $54 million as the only residences for sale in the pricey neighborhood. Lea, who appeared on the first three seasons of RHOM from 2011 to 2013 and went on to launch an eponymous beauty and skincare business, and Roy, a civil and criminal defense lawyer who has represented the likes of Jeffrey Epstein and William Kennedy Smith, maintain a primary Miami-area residence.
