MyHome.ie encourages you to stay home this Easter weekend

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has asked the public not to visit caravan parks and holiday homes this Easter weekend.

Here at MyHome.ie we regularly promote holiday homes both in Ireland and abroad for people to visit but we would echo the Taoiseach’s comments and ask that people respect the current measures in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19 this Bank Holiday weekend.

The Taoiseach made his appeal via Twitter yesterday, telling the public that flattening the curve will only happen if people follow the advice of the National Public Health Emergency Team and stay at home.

“Please do not visit a holiday home or caravan park this Easter weekend,” he said.

“The spread of the virus is slowing but people travelling could give it a boost – spreading it and seeding it in areas unaffected so far. Stay at home and #FlattenTheCurve.”

We hope you have a great Easter. Stay safe and remember that holiday homes will still be there when the pandemic has passed.
