Revenue to extend Local Property Tax deadline again until July 21st

Revenue is to extend the deduction date for the Local Property Tax for owners who opted to pay for 2020 by annual debit instruction to July 21st.

The payment was originally due to be taken on March 21st but this was extended until May 21st due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Revenue have now announced that the payment will be extended out for another two months.

Property owners who have opted to make a payment by Annual Debit Instruction do not need to advise Revenue or take any action. The payment date will be changed automatically to 21st July 2020.

The move is designed to ease cash flow pressure on property owners amid the coronavirus outbreak.
