An L.A. Home With Ties to Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier Can Now Be Yours for $25 Million

Though its coveted Bird Streets locale high above the Sunset Strip is indeed impressive, perhaps the most intriguing thing about this place is its Tinseltown ties. Not only does the posh pad just happen to sit right next door to a vast multimillion-dollar compound owned by Leonardo DiCaprio, it also has the added cachet of having served as the home of Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) during the fourth season of the popular HBO show Entourage.

Canadian businessman Stan Bharti last picked up the estate from hospitality mogul Sam Nazarian as part of a clandestine off-market deal in 2011 for $14.5 million, with the property selling in just a week due to the unusual concierge service perks that went with it. Now the contemporary structure has popped up on the market again for a speck under $25 million, with James Harris, David Parnes, and Kris Everett of Bond Street Partners at Carolwood Estates sharing the listing.

Spanning 6,300 square feet, with a trio of bedrooms and half a dozen baths spread across three levels, the snazzy villa rests on a hillside parcel of nearly an acre and offers sweeping city lights and ocean vistas from almost every vantage point. A gated entry with water features opens to the all-white house, which has an attached three-car garage and private street parking that can accommodate several more vehicles.

A latticed screen hides the glassy front door, which pivots into a double-height entry foyer donning a transparent floor and a floating staircase. From there, the living room boasts a TV nook off to the side. Walls of glass also spill out to an alfresco entertaining balcony, which overlooks an amenity-filled backyard hosting a Viking-equipped kitchen, a sunken fire pit, a mirrored bar with a craft beer dispenser, and a curvaceous infinity-edge pool with a raised spa.

Other highlights include a formal dining room and a piano lounge with a fireplace and bar, as well as a sleek kitchen outfitted with a marble-clad island, top-tier Miele appliances, and a butler’s pantry. The top-floor primary suite is another standout, flaunting a fireplace, a separate office, and a luxe bath holding a wet room with a soaking tub and steam shower, while the lower level features a bar and lounge leading to a movie theater that opens to the outdoors.

Bharti, founder of the Toronto-based merchant bank Forbes & Manhattan, recently sold a waterfront Florida mansion on North Bay Road in Miami Beach that was originally listed for $42.5 million. He acquired the glitzy estate from chicken restaurant magnate Christian de Berdouare and his former TV journalist wife Jennifer Valoppi in 2021 for nearly $30 million.

Adam Lambert’s Glam Sunset Strip Home Is Up for Grabs at $7.4 Million

It’s been an almost unbelievably successful ride for Adam Lambert ever since he came in second place behind Kris Allen on the eighth season of American Idol back in 2009. Not only has the flamboyant singer, songwriter, and actor released several albums that included his early hit Whataya Want from Me, but he stepped in for the late Freddie Mercury as lead vocalist of Queen, made his Broadway debut as the Emcee in Cabaret at The KitKat Club, and was most recently tapped to play Judas in a Hollywood Bowl production of the classic Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

Word on the street has it that he’s also been seeking new digs in New York City. So it’s really no surprise he’s decided to let go of the Los Angeles home he picked up in 2018 for $6.5 million, listing the modern Hollywood Hills spread high above the Sunset Strip with Greg Holcomb of Carolwood Estates for nearly $7.4 million.

Resting behind a gated driveway on a hilltop parcel spanning a quarter of an acre, the boxy white stucco and black-trimmed structure was originally built in the early 1950s. Extensively upgraded and customized during Lambert’s tenure, it features four bedrooms and six baths filtered across roughly 5,000 square feet of three-level living space accented with rich hardwood floors, high ceilings, and vast expanses of glass overlooking sweeping views of L.A.

Among the highlights is a combined living and dining area boasting a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and collapsible glass doors spilling out to the turf-clad backyard, plus a sleek kitchen furnished with an eat-in island that can seat up to eight and Wolf appliances. Up a floating staircase topped with a bulbous topaz light fixture is a posh primary suite sporting a mod fireplace and a wraparound balcony, as well as dual walk-in closets and a luxe bath flaunting a black soaking tub and glass-encased shower big enough for an entire swarm of folks.

Per the New York Post, Lambert has been spotted house hunting in New York, where he recently toured a snazzy $10.5 million duplex unit in Tribeca at 108 Leonard St., the first residential condo conversion of a McKim, Mead & White Beaux-Arts building.

A Couple of Pop Culture Icons Just Sold Their Hollywood Hills Villa for $7.8 Million

Almost two years after John Taylor and Gela Nash-Taylor first put their Los Angeles home up for sale at nearly $13 million and subsequently reduced the price to just under $9 million, the bassist and founding member of the British new-wave band Duran Duran and his longtime wife, co-creator of the fashion label Juicy Couture, have officially offloaded their 1930s Spanish-style villa in the Outpost Estates neighborhood of Hollywood Hills.

Records show an as-yet-unnamed buyer has paid $7.8 million for the stylishly revamped residence, which is around $6 million more than the couple doled out for the place back in fall 1999, not too long after they were married. Daria Greenbaum of Compass held the listing, with Steve Frankel and Leah Lail of Coldwell Banker repping the buyer.

Originally built in 1931 and extensively renovated by the couple during their tenure, the towering white stucco and terracotta-roof structure is tucked away behind gates on a hillside parcel spanning over a third of an acre. Inside, four bedrooms and seven baths are spread across roughly 6,200 square feet of three-level living space boasting a mix of tile, stone, and hardwood floors paired with soaring wood-beam ceilings.

An arcade entryway travels to the hand-carved wood front door, which opens into a circular entry foyer dressed in hexagon-shaped black tile. From there, a spacious living room is spotlighted by a massive wood-burning stone fireplace and French doors opening to a Juliet balcony, while a formal dining room overlooking a fountain-clad patio seats up to 14. A butler’s pantry connects to the sleekly designed kitchen, which is decked out with cobalt blue cabinetry, veined-marble backsplash and countertops, a pricey Lacanche range, and a nearby breakfast room.

On the lower level, a gallery with a water feature steps down to a bookshelf-lined den and library sporting a fireplace topped with a big-screen TV. Several sets of French doors spill out to the picturesque grounds, which are laced with palms, gardens, and fountains and host a pool and spa nestled beside an open-air cabana with a barbecue and kitchen setup, a fireplace, and an alfresco dining space, as well as a seated bar and a built-in stone banquette warmed by a fire pit.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Co-Host Julianne Hough Is Seeking $8 Million for Her L.A. Home

‘After more than a decade of ownership, Julianne Hough has decided to sashay away from her longtime home in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Dancing With the Stars co-host and two-time Mirrorball champ has stuck a nearly $8 million price tag on the stylishly revamped digs, with Brandon Piller and Joey Ben-Zvi of The Agency holding the listing.

Though the asking price is around $6 million more than the almost $2 million she doled out for the 1930s-era home back in early 2014, Hough completely remodeled the premises during her tenure in collaboration with architect Steve Wunderlich and celeb designer Jake Arnold. The result? An enchanting Cape Cod–style refuge featuring three bedrooms and four baths in 3,000 square feet of two-level living space boasting rich hardwood floors, high ceilings, plaster walls, arched doorways, organic stone accents, and bespoke millwork throughout.

The custom-colored kitchen comes with an eat-in island and a Lacanche range.

Sequestered behind gates, the white clapboard and black-trimmed structure is tucked away on a ridge spanning half an acre that overlooks picturesque views of the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory. Inside, a step-down living room is highlighted by a sculptural brick fireplace, while an adjoining dining room connects to a gourmet kitchen decked out with blue-green cabinetry set against a white subway tile backsplash, an island topped with Calacatta Viola marble, a pricey Lacanche range, and a sliding library ladder for easy access to the top shelves.

Elsewhere is a gray-hued screening room, an office, and a mirrored gym, as well as a cozy primary bedroom flaunting a private balcony and a spa-like bath with a steam shower and massive soaking tub. Once outside, hedged and greenery-laced grounds professionally designed by Trilling Landscape host several alfresco lounging and entertaining spots enhanced by a pool and spillover spa, plus a built-in barbecue and pizza oven, a fireplace, and a bocce court. There’s also an attached two-car garage and motor court on the premises.

The primary suite opens to a spacious balcony overlooking some of the city’s top landmarks.

This $10 Million House Above L.A.’s Sunset Strip Has a Two-Story Entertainment Complex

Back in 2007, Angie Thornbury doled out $2.8 million for an unremarkable 1960s ranch house perched in the coveted Bird Streets enclave of Los Angeles. The designer and developer, who passed away in 2020, subsequently renovated the Hollywood Hills property high above the Sunset Strip in her signature party-centric style, complete with glass panels peering into a two-level entertainment space down below.

Rented out through the years and currently occupied by Thornbury’s daughter, part-time KTLA meteorologist Liberté Chan, the residence has now become available for the first time in almost two decades. The asking price is a speck under $10 million, with Joyce Rey and Katia Miramontes of Coldwell Banker Realty handling the listing.

Spanning multiple levels, the modern hilltop abode rests on a third of an acre of land fronted by a gated driveway that empties out at an attached two-car garage with lifts to accommodate additional vehicles. Inside, a total of three bedrooms and three baths are spread across about 7,000 square feet of elevator-accessible living space boasting French oak floors, soaring ceilings, art-friendly walls, and vast expanses of glass providing sweeping city skyline and ocean views.

An open-concept great room sports several lounging spots, including one nestled beside a black-veined marble fireplace and, just behind that, an indoor hot tub. An adjacent dining room surrounded by smoky mirrors flows to a kitchen with sleek ivory cabinetry, an eat-in island, and Miele and Wolf appliances, while a swanky primary suite has a round canopy bed, a walk-in closet that doubles as a panic room, and a soaking tub and shower in a glass-enclosed wet room.

The two-level basement is ready for entertaining with a bar and lounge boasting a wine cellar.

Nearby are an airy lounge with a sinuous, fully equipped bar and climate-controlled wine cellar, a gym, and a wellness room. The backyard also offers plenty of perks, including a lap pool with an integrated fire pit and a separate spa.

Chan, an L.A. native who recently became a mother and spends her spare time as a wellness, fashion, and travel influencer, told Mansion Global she has decided to sell because she has different lifestyle needs now and her pandemic-escape party pad “isn’t the right house for a newborn.”

Rapper G-Eazy’s $3.7 Million Hollywood Hills Home Comes With a Professional Recording Studio

Since he’s been living in New York for more than a year now, Gerald Gillum—better known to his fans as G-Eazy—has decided to part ways with the Spanish Colonial villa in Los Angeles he affectionately refers to as Gerryland. The Oakland-born rapper and record producer has stuck a $3.7 million price tag on the towering residence, which is tucked away in the Beachwood Canyon neighborhood of Hollywood Hills.

Though the ask is almost $2 million more than the nearly $1.8 million he paid ER and Salem actor Shane West for the late 1970s abode back in 2016, G-Eazy completely remodeled the digs during his tenure in collaboration with Melody Jimenez of MA Creative. Subsequently described by Architectural Digest as a “low-key hideaway in which to work and collaborate with fellow artists,” the place has four bedrooms and five baths in roughly 3,600 square feet of character-filled living space boasting rustic hardwood floors, custom Italian and Moroccan tile, and artisanal ironwork throughout.

An entry vestibule has a step-down living room on one side and a dining area on the other.

“This was the first home G-EAZY ever bought, even turning the guesthouse into a studio,” says Raul Sanchez Jr. of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, who holds the listing. “He poured a lot of money into the home, remodeling the kitchen, the walk-in closet, the fixtures are all custom, and of course, the studio, where he wrote many of his biggest hits.”

Sequestered behind walls and a gated entrance in the storied Hollywoodland enclave, the creamy stucco and stair-laced structure is perched upon a steep, almost quarter-acre parcel overlooking jetliner views that include the Hollywood Sign. Inside the double wood and glass front doors, an entry vestibule displaying a curving iron-railed staircase steps down to a living room resting beneath a vaulted wood-beam ceiling and sporting an all-white fireplace and French doors opening out to a slender balcony. The nearby dining room connects to a stylish eat-in kitchen, which is outfitted with dark green cabinetry, marble countertops, and Wolf appliances.

Outdoors, the grounds host several alfresco lounging and entertaining spots enhanced by a saltwater pool with a Baja shelf, plus a fire pit and a built-in barbecue.

Topping it all off is the self-contained two-story guesthouse, which is accessible via stairs and a snazzy elevator and houses a lounge area on the upper level and a professional-grade recording studio with a kitchenette and a shower down below. There’s also a street-level two-car garage.

This 1940s R.M. Schindler Home in Hollywood Hills Is Back on the Market for $3.3 Million

It’s been barely a year since Tara Subkoff doled out nearly $2.4 million for a pristine 80-year-old home in Los Angeles designed by revered architect R.M. Schindler. Now the multi-faceted actress, artist, director, and fashion designer is already looking to offload her place in the Outpost Estates enclave of Hollywood Hills with a nearly million-dollar jump in price, asking a speck under $3.3 million.

Known as the Jacob and Margaret Druckman House after its original owners, the modernist structure was completed in the early 1940s; it offers four bedrooms and three baths in roughly 1,600 square feet of sensitively renovated, split-level living space accented with refinished hardwood floors, ample built-ins, and high wood-beam ceilings dotted with clerestory windows. Vast expanses of glass overlook leafy canyon vistas.

The galley kitchen features vintage-style appliances and a dining area tucked into a windowed nook.

Three additional bedrooms can be found on the bottom-most level, as well as a den/office and two baths dressed in the same pale hues of the kitchen. Outdoors, the foliage-laced grounds are carved into a hillside parcel spanning just under a quarter of an acre and host an alfresco lounging and dining area warmed by a fireplace and an oval-shaped pool surrounded by a flagstone sundeck.

A Landmarked Hollywood Hills Bungalow by Architect John Elgin Woolf Lists for $4.6 Million

Crafted by out-of-the-box architect John Elgin Woolf in the late 1930s for Golden Age actor and TV editor Robert Seiter, this Hollywood Regency-style jewel box in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles was last sold in October 2017 for $2.7 million to director Francesco Carrozzini and his producer wife Bee. On and off the rental market since 2022, once for as much as $19,000 per month, it’s now resurfaced for sale at a dash under $4.6 million.

Whoever happens to buy the place will own a stunning example of Hollywood Regency design, at least according to Carl Gambino of Compass, who holds the listing. “It’s more than just a home, it’s a true work of art,” he says. “With so few of John Woolf’s creations remaining in pristine condition, they are incredibly rare and highly sought after.”

A light-filled living room features a curvilinear wall of glass flanked by tall French doors leading outside.

Tucked away behind walls and gates amid a hillside parcel spanning just over half an acre in the Cahuenga Pass area, the home was acquired in the 1960s by local neurosurgeon Henry Dodge Jr., who collaborated with Woolf himself on an extensive remodel that included the addition of a two-story pool house.

Occupied in the 2000s by hotelier/restaurateur Sean MacPherson—who described it in a New York Times article as a “residential palace for Hollywood royalty”—and also leased at one time by designer Nate Berkus and his then-fiancé Jeremiah Brent, the finely cut gem was most recently restored by the current owners during their tenure and featured in Architectural Digest. It was listed as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 2021.

Hollywood Regency-style homes are an elegant and sometimes theatrical assemblage of various architectural styles. Distinguished on the exterior by a low-pitched hip roof and ornamental Neoclassic elements in the form of cartouche emblems and slim fluted columns, the two-bedroom, two-bath home boasts roughly 2,150 square feet of single-level living space decked out with inlaid parquet floors and high, chevron-patterned wood-clad ceilings. A pair of tall, slender Pullman-style doors, hallmarks of the Regency style, open into the white stucco structure, which is highlighted by a double-crescent living room sporting matching built-in bookcases and a delicately carved marble fireplace notched into a curvilinear 12-foot wall of glass overlooking the U-shaped pool area.

Other highlights include a fireside dining room and an eat-in kitchen with green-and-black checkered floors, a vintage 1950s stove, and access to a bricked courtyard patio, as well as a primary suite flaunting a bay window, a walk-in closet, and a bath equipped with a freestanding oval soaking tub. Rounding it all out is the inviting backyard, which is spotlighted by a heated pool and the aforementioned pool house with a deck up top and a partially subterranean garage down below.
