    Jeff Bezos Just Dropped $90 Million on a Third Indian Creek Island Property

    Jeff Bezos’s South Florida spending spree continues.

    The Amazon founder has splashed out a whopping $90 million in an off-market deal for a third waterfront estate on the coveted Indian Creek Island, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday. According to the outlet, Bezos, who recently landed in third place on Forbes’s ranking of the world’s richest people, will live at the six-bedroom mansion while work is done on the two other properties he previously purchased.

    Tax records reveal that the Blue Origin founder’s new digs were last sold in 1998 for just $2.5 million, which goes to show how much home prices on the guard-gated Billionaire Bunker have skyrocketed. The Real Deal reported that the roughly two-acre spread was originally built in 1956 and later expanded upon in 1986 and once again in 2014. Altogether, the palatial pad features a swimming pool, a boat dock on Biscayne Bay, and 10,000 square feet of living space.

    Last November, the former CEO of Amazon announced in the most modern of ways—on his Instagram—that he was officially relocating from Seattle to Miami, noting that he wanted to be closer to his parents and his fiancée, Lauren Sanchez. “I’ve lived in Seattle longer than I’ve lived anywhere else and have so many amazing memories here,” he captioned the post. “As exciting as the move is, it’s an emotional decision for me. Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart.”

    Several months earlier, in August 2023, Bezos dropped $68 million in a clandestine, off-market transaction for a three-bedroom, three-bath home on the man-made barrier island. At the time, he was reportedly eyeing the house next door too, and it was only a few months before he worked out another under-the-radar deal to acquire it for $79 million. The existing home, with seven bedrooms, spans more than 19,000 square feet.

    The estate includes a swimming pool, a pool house, a putting green, and a small dock.

    Bezos now owns three of the roughly 40 homes on the 300-acre island, at a cost of nearly a quarter billion dollars—$237 million, to be exact.

    Other notable figures that reside on Indian Creek include Tom Brady, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and investor Carl Icahn. The community, which is connected to the mainland via a short bridge, sports a private 18-hole golf course, and residents have access to the country club.

      Kenny G Custom Built This Lakefront Washington Estate 30 Years Ago. Now It’s up for Grabs for $70 Million.

      Kenny G is used to being center stage, but right now it’s the saxophonist’s former Washington estate that’s having a moment in the spotlight.

      The waterfront manse in Hunts Point was custom-built for the Grammy Award-winning jazz musician nearly three decades ago and has recently found its way back onto the market. Now listed for $70 million, the 17,599-square-foot spread was designed by architect Richard Landry. Dubbed “King of the Megamansion,” Landry counts Tom Brady, Mark Wahlberg, Kylie Jenner, and Sylvester Stallone among his celebrity clientele.

      Sitting on just over four acres, the lavish spread has 327 feet of sandy shoreline on Lake Washington. Of course, it comes with its own private dock with enough room to park a 150-foot yacht, jet ski, or seaplane. From the outside, the stately residence looks like it could be straight out of Europe with lots of sandstone and glass. Inside, the abode is equally as elaborate with soaring high ceilings, intricate moldings, arched windows, hand-carved fireplaces, and rich wood flooring.

      In addition to the five bedrooms and six full baths, the palatial pad sports a formal dining room, a two-story living room, and a cozy wood-paneled library. There’s also a light-filled in-house gym and a massive recreation room with a built-in saltwater fish tank. Naturally, the primary suite is where you’ll spend a good chunk of your time, and rightfully so. The space is equipped with a marble fireplace, a private balcony that overlooks the lake, and two bathrooms.

      Still, the rest of the property deserves attention. Aside from the main dwelling, the grounds offer a tennis court, a sparkling swimming pool with a cabana, grassy lawns, and lush gardens. You’ll also find a one-bedroom guest cottage and a separate staff house. Though, there’s no judgment if you wanted to keep this as your personal enclave.

      Home of the Week: Derek Jeter’s Tampa Mansion, Currently Rented by Tom Brady, Just Listed for $29 Million

      There’s no eviction notice yet, but if baseball legend Derek Jeter finds a buyer for his sprawling waterfront mansion in Tampa, Fla. any time soon, his tenants may be rushing to find new digs.
      Which is slightly awkward when your renters are Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen.
      The Bradys moved into Jeter’s almost 22,000-square-foot estate in April, after the former New England Patriots star inked a two-year, $50-million deal to play quarterback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

      The good news is that the “For Sale” signs going up in the front yard won’t be a too much of a shock to the renters.
      “Tom and Derek negotiated terms in the lease agreement so we could list, market and, obviously with proper notice, show the property,” listing agent Stephen Gay, of Tampa-based realtors Smith & Associates told Robb Report.
      And no, the Bradys haven’t shown any interest in buying the compound, which according to Gay, is “the most impressive home to ever hit the market in the Tampa Bay area.”

      Jeter’s company Kered Connors LLC reportedly paid a total of $7.7 million to acquire three adjoining waterfront lots on Tampa’s Davis Islands between 2005 and 2006. The roughly 1.3-mile, man-made island is minutes from downtown Tampa and is one of the city’s prime residential neighborhoods.
      Jeter spent four years constructing the huge, custom-built home on the 1.25-acre lot—by far the biggest on Davis Islands—completing the project in 2011.
      “The attention to detail, the quality of the finishes, the materials used in the construction are just exceptional. Really, no expense was spared in building this home,” says Gay.

      The construction wasn’t without its controversy. Jeter fought for, and won, permission to build an eight-foot privacy fence around the property—six-feet is the norm—earning it the nickname among locals as “The Great Wall of Jeter.”

      Imposing hardwood doors lead into the vast, open foyer with 24-foot-high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning, west-facing views across Tampa’s Hillsborough Bay. Everywhere you look are high-end finishes and fine detailing; from hand-polished Venetian plaster, solid hardwood millwork and marble mosaic tiles, to tailored silk drapes.

      Directly off the “grand salon” foyer is the expansive clubroom with its full-service bar, billiards table and multiple TVs. The room’s glass corner wall slides open and leads out on to the huge, 9,000-square-foot, made-for-entertaining waterfront patio with its 80-foot, saltwater lap pool and large outdoor kitchen.

      The home’s gourmet kitchen was also designed with large-scale, professionally-catered gatherings in mind. It comes with two huge Sub-Zero fridges, a Wolf range, four dishwashers, a walk-in pantry, a butler’s pantry, and two marble-topped islands.
      Upstairs, the master suite features a spa-like bath with a truly enormous steam shower, dual walk-in custom closets and a bedroom complete with fireplace and balcony with views over the water.

      Other special features of the home include a wine cellar, a wood-paneled office, movie theater and a professional-grade gym (naturally), plus a guest suite and au pair wing. Outside, two air-conditioned garages can accommodate up to six cars.
      According to Gay, one of the estate’s selling points is its 345 feet of open bay frontage, a rarity, along with a deep-water dock and two boat lifts.

      One of the reasons the Bradys might not be stepping up to buy the property is that proximity to the water. Shortly after moving in, Brady told Howard Stern on Sirius XM that he was not happy at the number of boaters constantly circling around outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of the power couple.
      The Bradys put their former Massachusetts home on the market in 2019. 
      As for Jeter and his wife Hannah, home is currently a 19-floor 5,200-square-foot palace-in-the-sky at the new Grove at Grand Bay skyscraper in Miami. The couple moved there following Jeter’s purchase of the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball team in 2017. He’s currently CEO and co-owner.

      As for the Tampa home, Stephen Gay says there’s already been considerable interest. “We’ve had a ton of calls, but I suspect many are fans of the Bradys who just want to get a look inside.”
